Especially since those of us who recently retired, AND service during 9/11 cannot transfer that benefit to our children...disgraceful.Apr 12th, 2010Someone from Hollywood, FL signed.

These people deserve the utmost respect for their service...don't dishonour them with limits on opportunities for a productive life when they have already demonstrated through service that they would have given their life for their country.REPORT COMMENTS

I'm about to lose my benefits, and the post 9/11 GI bill doesn't pay for technical schools, it only pays for college.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a former Marine who is wanting to obtain my Bachelors degree. Unfortunatley my benifits expired 18 months ago. I think it is rediculous that after serving my country and contributing to the plan that I am not able to take advantage of these benifits. I am even more dipleased that congress has changed the time limit for post 9/11 military members to 15 years. Why not the rest of us who did not need a national tragedy to inspire us to serve our country?REPORT COMMENTS

I may want to change careers 10 years AFTER MGIB expires. It would be beneficial to many in there own circumstances to have these benefits available with no time frame. Seems to me like a continued opportunity to collect interest on unused contributions to the MGIB Program.REPORT COMMENTS

It is our right as Americans to have the freedom to improve our socioeconomic positions and accomplish lifelong goals. One of the best ways to do this is through education. What is the purpose behind the federal government putting an expiration date on our attempts to accomplish our goals in life? It benefits society as a whole for individuals to gain knowledge, therefore educational goals should never be prevented.REPORT COMMENTS
