Child support is extremely unfair to fathers. The mother of your child can put you on anytime regardless if you was there paying for EVERYTHING. Child support should already require the mom to have a job or at least be in the act of searching for one. Child support should also require a mother o only spend it on the child. It is not to support themselves. I don't think fathers get treated fairly at all. Custody for example, the mother didnt make the baby by herself so why isn't there joint custody? Sole custody shouldn't be the first option especially if the dad was there through the whole pregnancy, the whole birthing, and in the child's life after. It's extremely unfair and we need to get it that way because its frustrating.

I am and have since day one been a proud child support payer though this institution dubbed "child support" is merely a rhetorical device used to hide it's true objective..ex-support. I hate to see those responsible for their obligation as a parent to to provide running away from and skipping out on their responsibility. With that in mind I challenge all persons especially our state and government officials to consider and examine the statistics between societies version of "dead-beats" and the real "dead-beats" that are bleeding the life out of honest hard working and dedicated parents in a failed system built as a means of government revenue who do all they can to meet their obligations. I firmly believe through countless hours of research and study that it is most often the mother that should be found guilty for the delinquency of support. I by no means suggest every woman is guilty for a great many of them stand up against the encouragement the government gives them to be this way and to the women that do your part in the financial support of children I thank and praise you! It is unfair and unjust that the father figure is immediately preyed upon at the moment a child is born to be the sole provider of a parental union meant to be shared equally. i am against the policies and laws for a large number of women "the so called victim" to be the primary caretaker of our children no questions asked and allowing them to easily collect government hand-outs, receive exceptionally high and extorted finances from fathers working themselves to death and be given options for government grants (nearly impossible for men to get) to purchase cars, buy homes, or simply pay for luxuries men are forced to give up tho we work as they are allowed to sit at home driving unemployment percentages up thru the roof and forcing our children to grow up to think this is acceptable behavior! I say rewrite the laws to force mothers who do this to get jobs not only for the support their child but the economy as well. And should these dead-beats violate this law force THEM to lose their drivers license, do jail time, and/or face restrictions to child visitations as any single father is force to deal with tho we have jobs and try to do our part financially for the sake and well being of our children. This very minute fathers like me are being forced to try and survive under the current poverty level from government sanctioned extortion, honest men forced to give up their homes with whom some had likely vested years to try and own all-the-while being viewed by society as the villain because we are forced to seek forms of aide that we never once needed before just so we can experience the beauty and joy parenting a child brings. If your don't want to change the laws for the sake of equality due to it's present ability to draw the government revenue then look into ways to provide your dead-beats a means of employment. You already give them a substantial number

Separate households equal separate bills. When children spend time in both homes why is one parent responsible to pay for both households. Unfair to dad (in most cases). Moms need to get a job and be responsible for themselves in life.

the court system in mo. is unfair and are ruining lives by making fathers criminals and impoverishing them and their children, the state is profiting by creating a debtors prison this is unconstitutional. for everyone the state puts in jail they get paid so they incarcerate every body they can.i'm a veteran and now a felon thanks to the screwed up unjust laws practiced in the state of missouri and across the country.i have allway's made effort to have support payments held from my paycheck when the company closed i lost my job when i found another job i was in arrears and a felony warrant was issued for me i was stopped on the way to my new job where i was living in florida extradited back to clay county lost my car my job and my place to live had to plead guilty to the felony to be released into poverty and dispare . i would like to know how the people working in the court system can look at themselves and feel good about the poverty and lives they are helping the courts to ruin, shame on all of you,but it's your job isnt it ,you all will rot in hell. the laws must be changed to help fathers and their children.i'm on 5 years probation lost my job again hostess brands closed my payments were coming out of my check, no paycheck,no child support payment , i will be back in missouri unconstitutional debtors prison unable to work and support my child this is a travesty and unjust way to treat people. the state of missouri has fond a way to profit off people by criminalizing them and impoverishing them and their children . will some one in congress do something to change the laws to help people not criminalize them , these current practices are killing families and the economy of this country!!!!!

I feel that if the mother recieves any type of support for the children then she should  have to show where every penny is spent from the child support it is for the children not the mothers. Also i belive that if a mother recieves child support she should be subject to random drug screenings at there expense not the tax payers. Also in order for a mother to obtain custody of a child she should have to show proof that she os able to support herself as well as the children financially and also show proof. Of employment before a judge awards custody to the mother and that they can not recieve anytype of state or federal assitance for longer than a period of time and after that time they should have to show meens to be able to provide for the children and not just from the child support also the mother should never be able to speak of child support or use that as leverage for a gain in any way. Also like the mothets there needs to be so organization to help fathers get ahead because when you have to pay what i do it's hard to put food on the table so please read and take into consideration the fathers in america that are truely trying don't think we are all dead beats CAUSE WE ARE NOT

I am tired of being in a room where I feel I am invisable. I drive 3hours every other weekend for my children. My ex drives 45min. I buy clothes for my children and school supplies. My ex can't even get a calculator for my daughter. My youngest can't even pack clothes or bring a packed bag with things she wants to bring. I am not able to at least claim 1 child on my income. My ex received food stamps, ssi for my youngest. She has medical on herself and has taken my children off her medical and has put them on medicade. I struggle to find a home for myself when my ex has the house we lived in with the mortgage paid in full before we got divorced. I go above and beyond my being a father. In my case you are letting the dead beat not only get the best of me, my children but also letting her get everything from you our government. I am losing faith in a judicial system that has turn my life and my childrens lives into a three ring circus. I am soo glad they can sleep in peace at night playing with the lives of other people on a stupid formula which is not meant for everyone. Every case is different and should be treated that way. If I could afford to get a home my 15 year old would live with me. This would change the stupid formula again plus make me lose time at work sitting in a court room being invisable again. Oh and I will not be making money when I am there but my ex still gets paid the same overpaid amount. Brett

It is time To make some changes.I was just served with back child support garnishment total of 350000,00.and that does not include interest.. This was a plan to wait untill full amount of interest was acquired. Not fair, and at 50 years old I will never be able to repay one million dollars.

The calculations for child support is unfair. The government is creating dead beat dad because the money we pay for child support goes to the mom. We cant afford to do any activities with the children due to lack of money. The government barely leaves us enough money to survive.
