I am a father who very responsible father and believe in the child support system; however, i feel that the system needs to be revised. Yes, I am in the military and have to pay close t0 $800.00 a month on child support, which is fine for me because its for daughter, well I like to think it is. My issue that I have with child support system is that bias against fathers and some of the guidelines need to be changed. My ex and I have joint residual (50/50) custody of our daughther. When my daughter is with me I still buy her things such has clothes, shoes, and take her places. My daughter will living with me during the summer 23 Jun-10 August. I feel that I should NOT have to pay child support if my daughter when she will be living with me for those months. Especially when her mom is common law married with another kid by her live in boyfriend for the past 3 plus years. There needs that need to be made! -

Child support is only for the mother that doesnt want to work and thinks she is owed a PAYCHECK for opening her legs and for having a bastard child...I'm not your paycheck and never will be. You decided to have child knowing you can't afford it that's your problem don't make it mine I'm poor enough and am on welfare and live in affordable housing and am on unemployment.... So go some where else for money I'm not the one and never will be the one to give you a paycheck..plus I'm a convicted felon so finding a job is difficult anyway.REPORT COMMENTS

Im scared to say I have no faith in this system, they wont change laws because theres no money in it if they do. When you dont pay child support weather you lost your job or had to quit due to you not being able to afford your car/home then what happens? You go to jail due to unpaid child support. Jails run by the government which comes out of OUR taxes to pay for these jails. Am i the only one who feels like sonetimes you just want to leave the country and start over? But what benefit is that to my kids? Im afraid our lord is the only one who hearing our cry, and the only one who cares. Bless you all!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

As a woman I am absolutely disgusted by how women work this system & nothing is done about. I am a step mother & my husband's baby mama does not have a job & does not want to work either. She has a son with disability who has a nurse pretty much all the time so she is able to work. This is paid for by the government btw. She gets $500 worth of food stamps & stipends from the government. She is not doing anything to better herself at all she goes on trips regularly while my husband who has his kid 50% & up to date with his support continues to suffer. we almost lost the house, living pay check to paycheck because the government allows for an able bodied woman to use & abuse the system. This is system is so broken& its about time that a law is passed to defend fathers & force these "dead beat women" to actually try to better themselves. Tired that my had earned tax dollars continue to fund these people who are very much able to find a job like the rest of us. WAKE UP AMERICA!REPORT COMMENTS
