something needs to change. you have alot of good fathers getting a raw deal. recently divorced..both parties make 800.00. him working her on a check for depression. he pays 435.00 a month child support. she gets to keep her whole check.. she gets free public housing. which pays her lights etc. and 635.00 a month in food stamps. so shes living well. and he has 365.00 left a month to pay for housing. which he cannot get assistance for. he qualifies for 154.00 a month food stamps. hes living from house to house wherever he can stay. shes buying tattoos and partying on the weekends with the kids money.. hes tried getting a 2nd job but what happens his child support goes up again. fathers should get some kind of assistance just like she does if their not making enough to pay rent. or they will spend their lives in jail being labeled as deadbeat dads whenever they are doing the best they can. and are good loving fathers.REPORT COMMENTS

For one I am for child support But, when it comes to going to jail, surviving and being homeless, when the ex wife is all set up in her own place is so wrong. My ex wife draws SSI ck. food stamps and I pay her $430 in child support for 3 kids. And that's based on $7.25 hr. 40's week. I love my kids. But, I cant see my kids as often cause, I have to work enough for them and for me to pay $375 month in rent, $139 in a car note. Since, we separated few months ago. I cant pay the car note so its fixing to be reprocessed. I applied for food stamps and I will only get $159 for food. Thats not counting my lights and water. So, you wonder. why there are so many ,man in jail that are NOT dead beat dads. They just cant catch a break like me. So, I do believe the laws need be changed. Then you will see a lot less man in jail for child support and being able to see their kids more. And less kids that end up into trouble. Cause they are fatherless.REPORT COMMENTS

Current child support laws are disgusting. My stepchildren's egg donor currently sits on her*****at her parents house, hasn't had a job in 6 months, isn't even looking for one, frauds the government for public assistance benefits, and does nothing for her children. Yet, she still collects $500 a month (1/4 of his income) from my hardworking fiancee who busts his*****every day and up until a month ago, worked 2 jobs for 3 years to support her lazy ass. They were together for 4 years and she never had a job during that time. Still doesn't and due to these insane laws, she is protected from having an income imputed to her due to her collection of public assistance. She has a medical assistance degree she obtained by way of my fiancee paying for it while they were still together and does nothing to better her life or her childrens. In fact, she takes money from them for her Lexus hybrid. And this is ok? In the eyes of current child support laws: YES! Please change these out of control laws and stop these selfish lazy women from being able to use any man stupid enough to make a baby with them as a personal ATM for 18+ years. Most of the money is not being used for the children and this NEEDS. TO. STOP.REPORT COMMENTS

child support law is unfair. It destroys families. It separated kids from fathers. It incetivates women to leave marriage and deny more father-son time together( that reduces child support). If child support had a threshold say 500 then women would actually Fight to keep their marriages. If women know that They can Destroy their marriage, keep the children and get way more money than the children cost, why wouldn't they get divorced?REPORT COMMENTS

This welfare is terrible, my childsupport case was opened when I was 19 yrs old back in 1993 by a fake wife only out to have kids an jump on the welfare gravy train; and she did - with a green card and not even a high school diploma - she has made easy livin for herself! Welfare stood by her side the entire time and left me with checks that said "VOID" the welfare stole my entire paycheck and that was a 40 hour a week paycheck , so then I worked 3 double shifts per week just to get to take home about 130.00$ for that week and that barely paid to trip to work: I went to modify the welfare order for the two boys that I don't even know in Fresno ca and the judge stuck me with MORE per month since she said her sister babysits them and even though her sister was on welfare too and was surposed to be getting paid to watch them BUT could not come up with a payment receipt , the Judge still stuck me with what ever magical amount that she came up with for me to pay for the so called day care , she was on welfare n wasn't even licensed to be a babysitter by the state of california .... But it held for her favor in court... All her family are on welfare and have kids of all different men and they all live in the same apartment complex ALL 4 of them and even the mother scemes the welfare too.... American men have NO rights when these paracites sick the legal system on us , welfare .... Calling it childsupport and keeping the money ..... Ha it's 2014 and I'm about 250,000.00$ in on this childsupport stuff and still paying..... Almost done but the Fresno welfare has had me over 1/2 my life and ALL OF MY ADULT LIFE .. And meny meny times I wished I was never BORN, or that I wouldn't wake up one day .... Never had to strength to commit suicide but life sucked that bad and even though I had really good jobs , the more I progressed so did the welfare .. I never gave up I lived to fight the next day.... And my kids NEVER seen the amount that welfare took from me.... MY KIDS WILL NEVER KNOW THE FIGHT THERE DAD HAD TO FIGHT JUST TO SURVIVE ,WHILE THE WELFARE KEPT MY AS A SLAVE, I don't know the two now men in Fresno that are called my kids, it is a terrible life for them too.... But who cares ! As long as Fresno makes me pay up ...... 21 years later n still paying Fresno count welfare .... Then that's all that matters....; soon I'll be done I'm almost done with the extra 10,000.00$ the welfare stacked on top of me ... And when it asked the welfare " why are you all putting 10,000.00$ more on top of me "? They said "the state gives us the right to do so"A LONG JOURNEY IT'S BEEN AND THE SUCKIEST PART OF IT ALL IS .....all I've ever done was work all my time work to survive : and I never had a life or a social life .. Always bitter... And negative... And now that I'm almost gonna get my welfare freedom papers , what KINDA life do I live .... Will I finally not wake up..? What now? Welfare you stole not only my paychecks n All of my tax returns,YOU ALSO STOLE MY LIFE...REPORT COMMENTS
