I have paid my child support for years and agree that the law is more harsh on fathers then the mothers. In Missouri fathers pay support through college years too. Even if they live on campus we pay support. I have had two sons go through college and I had to go to court and get it to go to my sons directly just so they could benefit from it. But most men cannot afford to go back to court to have this done. In fact my case was one of the first ones in Missouri and my lawyer had to make up a good case just to convince the judge to allow it. Thanks k God it went through and my child support helped my sons in college with expenses. Taxes laws and child support laws need some attention. Thanks.Jul 23rd, 2015Someone from Holland, MI signed.

I agree with supporting your children. Support comes from both sides. When you pay 1000.00 a month and your children are living off of pop tarts and soda, and wear torn up clothing but can't afford an attorney to fight the mother because if you miss one payment, she whines to the courts about having to do it all by herself, and you go to jail. It's disgusting. She doesn't want the children, could care less about them. She wants the money.REPORT COMMENTS

I am paying child support for a child that's not mine I asked the court to grant me genetic testing order which was preformed and showed that I have 0% probability or being this childs father I thought that was the end of it now I have to go to court and ask them to dismiss the order for support as soon as I do this the woman has 20 days to contest the order and I HAVE TO CONTINUE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT FOR A CHILD THAT IS NOT MINE AND POSSIBLY BE SENT TO JAIL . Can someone please tell me what is the JUSTICE in that at what point is the woman held responsible.REPORT COMMENTS

Most men get walked over in child support cases. Fathers should pay child support & it should be spent on the child. The mother should have to fill out a form every 3 months & show how the money is spent. It's not meant for the upkeep of the mother , nails, hair, tanning & clubbing. I know, NOT all mothers do this but there are many........... When my kid received SSI ($ 8.00) YES eight dollars ,I had to fill a form out and show how the money was spent. I was married and living with the father. I see why men break they are not treated fair.REPORT COMMENTS

My child support will be going up on Monday, but yet when I get my daughter her clothes are to small, old, dirty or with holes in them. All while the mother drives a brand new suv has no job and always has a new purse. The law is unfair.REPORT COMMENTS

I'm not a father but I do agree with this petition. Cause they are trying to railroad my husband into paying the state of New York 32,000 in arrears to department of children services. And they didn't even give me that amount in public assistance. Department of children services only need to get back what they paid out to the children. And stop railroad the father's that is take care of their children. Everybody falls on they luck and situations do happen with work and income problems. Unfair law we need come together for this law to be change.REPORT COMMENTS

I feel like it is so unfair that we the good men get judge as deadbeat right off the back. I think we should be giving a chance to take care of child on our own. I feel that I am a responsible adult and want to take care and provide my child on my own. It doesn't make any sense to me that not only do I pay child support but I also take care and do things with my child on my own when he with me those funds come out of my pocket. I still buy him clothes sneakers food and take him to places. All I am saying is that men who do care about their child should be treated fair and not a statistic when attending child support courts. Just take in consideration that we care and love the child too. We dont want to feel like were robbed and can't be supportive responsible men on our own. While women fake cry in court to put one over the judge eyes everytime to make it seem like we not doing our job as a responsible adult because build up anger and revenge and grudges a women may carrying on with men. So she can used the money to buy shoes clothes hair, nails, feet, make up all done and give my child the very short end of stick. All im saying is fix this into a fair law for men and women instead of just looking at situation from one point od view. Thank youREPORT COMMENTS

I transport vessels to other countries for a living, and as a result of owing more than 2.500 dollars in child support, my U.S. passport has been denied.i cant return to the U.S. by commercial air lines because they require a passport. I cant see the logic in this passport denile issue, nor the suspension of drivers license or fishing license, or vehicle tags. making a living is difficult, and to complicate peoples lives with this is just making it harder to get the money to the children.REPORT COMMENTS
