ex is allowed to make double my income and leave me homeless, yet my daughter doesn't have a bank account set for her future. Best interest of the child right?

I pay 737 dollars in child support for my daughter and 50.00 for my son. This is not right. They are talking so much that I can't afford to take care of both of my children appropriately. And it's been going on I'm 34,000 behind.

my boyfriend is an amazing father and give his kids everything they need and more. Their mother uses the money for other things that she wants never for the children. The child support system is unfair to good fathers. please reconsider this. There are so many factors and women are just taking advantage of this. How does he have to pay 800 a month and only makes 14 dollars an hours and have to pay for bills, rent, food, and gas. It does not make sense at all. The system is corrupt. License is always getting suspended because of a balance. Even the children agree that this is unfair and their mother does not need the money at all because she does not put it to good use. Please make a change.

I was with me (ex) wife for 8 years. A year after our second child was born she filed for divorce because she met someone online. A 19 year old who still lived in England and is 11 years younger than she is. We have joint custody and I have my children nearly half the time yet I have to pay almost $600/month in child support. I can barely afford a 1 bedroom apartment because I also have to pay for day care while I have my children, health insurance and things that life requires. If I am expected to support my children for the time that I have custody why is my ex wife able to not work at all and collect money from me and the state while she continues to have more children that she can't afford? I could be giving my children a better life instead of them having less at both houses.

I got my license suspended a few days before it expires and the dmv is holding it because of past due child support. Also they raised my payments to 650 dollars a month on 10 dollars an hour when I my self is a full time single father that lives with me full time. The judge also refused to give me hardship for him as well

I am a mother and I must admit, child support laws for fathers are very unfair and unjust. The amount of child support is based on a fathers Gross pay instead of Net pay. For example, if a father makes $115,000 gross a year with overtime, he will only see and receive about half of that money per year which could be anywhere around $60,000. I must add.... overtime per year is not Guaranteed!! So why is child support based on the gross and not what the father actually makes?????? This literally leaves the father living paycheck to paycheck, working extra jobs to pay the child support or sometimes unable to take care of his own bills. And if the kids go live with their father, the father has to still pay child support to the mother for the kids that are not living with her. This is so unfair and I strongly suggest that this matter should be taken to the media and exposed!!!!!

I am still living paycheck to paycheck, my son is 18 and away in the National Guard I still pay for him, my daughter is 15 and my wife is telling me I need to pay child support and for her college. I have zero in savings and retirement. Meanwhile she drives a very expensie SUV lives in a large house and just banks my child support into account doesn't use! Laws need to improve!

The laws are designed to incentivise being a single mother. There are no protections of custody for single fathers. The criminalization of debt is a violation of our Human Rights. Govt Asst to women is already budgeted. Why are men made to pay it back 100%, while women reap the rewards?

I've never failed to pay the outlandish amounts I've been forced to pay in support. I quit striving to do better since every time I get paid more, I'm dragged back to court and my support is increased. I pay the a large insurance premium monthly to cover myself and my children through my employer, half of everything not covered by insurance, and live meagerly check to check. I've done all this faithfully for 16 years... And this week I've now been required to pick up half the tab of my ex wife's insurance as she's conviced the courts that my insurance is problematic. When do I get a fair shake? With current legislation the answer is NEVER. Something must be done.

I make $17/hr and I pay $388 a week for three children. After taxes I don't make enough to cover that so in two years I racked up $18,000 in arrears while paying 50% of my wages! This is in California mind you.

My own government has labeled me a "dead beat" for ten years now. No income taxes, no visitation, no passport and I have family living outside of the United States that I may never see again. I have no criminal record, but I feel like I'm a felon. I'm suffering constantly. This law has to change. The very same children who are supposed to benefit from this agency will one day grow up to be prisoners of this same system.
