My son's father was court ordered to pay 461 a month. I work full time. We have a special needs child ( son has Autism) I gave him every oppertunity to be part of our son's life. His wife could not handle him and I being alone together. He has reverted back to not seeing or spending time with our child. So, Why should he not have to pay support? It costs money to support a child. I do my part. I pay rent, utilities, buy him clothes, Take him to his Doctor appointments. ETC.. The every day thing that a Mother or a Father should do. I tried to help his father out and give him a break financially. But he didn't carry out his part of the deal. Should I feel bad? I don't think so.

Its disgusting. I work hard for my money, and my ex does part time babysitting. I have 50% custody, Why do I have to support her when I have the kids the same amount of time? I have my own bills to pay. I have to pay for them when they are with me too.

The laws need to change! The Justice System needs to treat women AND men fairly. When it comes to child support laws, the court systems sit back and favor the women unfairly. This ought to be unconstitutional because the men don't have a voice when it comes to child-support laws. It is unfair for him to work hard and only see his money go to a woman who abuses it. On top of it, these women manipulate the men to keep their children from them. I feel like I don't live in a Free country when I have to put up with this. Who do I have to talk to? Whose door do I knock? How many letter do I have to write? How many lawyers to I have to hire for the Justice System to pay attention to me and treat me like a person and not a bank account. Please help. I am begging you. Please. Change these laws. We cannot call ourselves a fair nation if the men are being trampled upon by the money-hungry women of this nation. Pleas help! Please!

as a woman i think men dont get treated equal. i have known men that cant find a job yet have to pay 100 a week. yes it is a responsibility on both sides. yet a man is ordered to pay without income but a woman can be without a job and stay that way because they will get that monthly check. the children shouldnt suffer but the parents need to be equal.

I feel that child support is not fair! I feel that you need to support your children, but on the other hand when is it ever enough. I was a single mother and am now married my husband just got it for an 18 year old who doesn't want to work and has been taught the system and doesn't want to work let the governement support me. the kicker is that his mother recieves welfare and SSI and just awarded 600/mo for child support. I just need to quit law school and get free help from the government and pretend i'm injured and claim ssi.

No grown, self respecting man should ever know what child support enforcement is. Men love to complain about child support court and your baby mommas. Let me school you little boys. You should want to take care of your children by any means necessary, you should never be made by anyone, you should never go to court and try to get out of as much as you can. No MAN does that. Especially if you have a babymomma who you see is doing tha damn thing to provide for your child. Your child is taken care of to the fullest, never does without anything, food, medical care, clothes, has the nicest everything. It takes way more than most are made to contribute in a petty minimal child support check. so get real with yourselves and God. You should pay your child support and more. As a mother who does it all on my own, who works way more than anyone should ever have too. I would give my last and do without for my Lou, that's what every parent should do for your child. If you are a good man and father and do what your suppose to finically, emotionally, and spiritually for your children this status isn't about you.

Child support is one thing. I will always take care of my children financially and emotionally even if their mother cant but if she is capable of contributing economicaly she should be required. Spousel support for a woman thats capable of supporting themselves is steeling from a man!

This is an important issue affecting both men and women and, most importantly, children. There will always be some people who abuse the system/take advantage, but it is definitely not just about women who sit back waiting for a "payday." I was the one ordered to pay $418.00 a month in child support to my ex-husband (who makes roughly 40% more than me). Based on my personal experience as well as other people I know (incidentally, I did not willingly surrender time with my daughter, nor was I deemed an unfit parent - for the sake of brevity, I will not go into detail as to my particular circumstances but believe this is a noteworthy point), some of the most prominent topics which need to be addressed include: (1) how child support is calculated, taking into consideration the realistic amount the other party can pay while still keeping afloat. While there is a formula to calculate child support, the point is to make sure the child/ren does not experience a significant change in lifestyle in EITHER home. Yet many parents are barely able to pay for groceries after paying child support and are living close to the poverty level; (2) provide more definitive guidelines as to EXACTLY what child support covers (child support is not intended to be a windfall for the custodial parent who receives after-tax dollars which the obligator cannot claim as a tax deduction); and (3) percentage of time spent in each household should be given serious consideration as presently a parent with 45% time still pays as much child support as one who is granted 10% time.

I Definitely Agree, I Do Not Get A Free Ride And Her Living Of My Hard Work Is Completely Unequal.I Would Willingly Pay The Amount For Her To Get By Supporting Strictly My Children Only. The Mother Would Get Her Child Support Debit Card But Would Have To Save All Her Receipts To Track Down Spending Activity Like Expensive Shoes For Herself. I Decided Maybe They Should Have Different Age Groups To Determine An Average Of Money Required To Realistically Support The Children Of The Age Groups. If The Male Agrees To Pay Above The Stable Weekly Charge Of Support It Would Be Based On The Age Group, Would Mean No Taking More If I Make More. I'm Working Hard To Chase After My Dreams. Why Wish Just Remind Me For My Next Life, To Be A Female In America. I Still Love And Support Women.

I'm dealing with a power hungry type A personality living off child support from two different dads and moved both of our kids in with another man before even a year of us being split up. Now you have a useless individual living off of 3 men and so far the court sees no problem with this. Let's congratulate the government on father's rights (more like you lose them all and your ability to survive) and the poor third guy who is obviously clueless.
