I totally agree with this and I am a woman. Good dads who support their children are being screwdriver now. My husband has his kids 50% of the time mom has 50% dad pays all medical bills and dental dad pays for the insurance and then dad pays mom 400 dollars a month even though mom only has her kids 14 days a month. They make it so easy for women to fraud the system. For example my husband was honest and gave his income. Mom is working 3 jobs she leaves her kids with her mom every week it is her turn to have them. Well his kids where on reduced lunches cause dads income is low enough. Well the time to fill out the form comes and son gives it to his pathetic mom and she says I would never qualify I make too much but your dad will so she knows dad makes less money. Yet on the child support form she puts that she makes less she is getting paid under the table by family for construction job. Leaves it out and we could use the extra 400 dollars to not only feed her two kids but my and his two kids. Quit letting these women get away with this. There is a difference between a woman who raises her kids and the man don't help that's one thing but when the man is involved 50% of the time or more support should never be allowed. No matter what the parents income is men and women both make babies we should all be responsible to raise them not just the man. Give some justice to these dads.REPORT COMMENTS

I don't understand why it took 2 to get the child but only one has to pay the penalty ! When the man moves on with his life after he & the woman was raising this child together for over a yr, now he has to pay back all the time he already been taking care of the child ! Why is it that the woman goes out gets married or has another child by someone else &then ask for a more child support for the first child she already has & the man she married doesn't even have a job to support the one she just had ! Why ask for a raise when you are only asking for a raise so you can take care of that other man baby !!!!! THAT'S NOT JUSTICE !!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Child support in Erie county NY needs major reform immediately. The child guardian for Erie county also needs fired! Our case was part of one of Erie counties bogus cases before the reform of CPS for Erie came. We had proof that that my significant others children are being brainwashed by their mother ..ie. offering kindles and iPods to lie to this child guardian and the guardian didn't want to see it! He is biased, carries vendettas for his personal financial gain and needs stopped immediately! The support system for this county is SEVERELY flawed! I watch my significant other work 12 hour days everyday to pay his support and its STILL not enough!! He has a 65k per yr job...and brings home not even 900 per month!!! He can ONLY afford a car thru hos parents name, insurance for said car thru his parents, and his cellphone to keep contact. THAT'S IT!! Meanwhile his ex is banking over 25k from him per year and carries her own 35k job herself.... Last I checked NO ONE wants to see fathers FORCED into poverty while their ex's live large and clothe their children in clothes that don't fit. Then if my significant other doesn't do what she wants him to do she jus goes to the court house and files for protection orders! Ones that have and never will stick!! One judge straight out called This county is OUTRAGEOUS! AND WOMEN LIKE THIS NEED STOPPED!!REPORT COMMENTS

Child suppport equates to 18 years of probation most cases as I for one worked while my wife did not, in the meantime she got pregnant by her boyfriends roommate....while we were still married and forces my child to call him daddy and me by my first name.. it has been going on for 9 years now and judges do not care about anything but paying up or go to jail. I have chronic Crohn's disease have filed for disability, in the meantime the Midland Texas office is trying to put me in jail for nonpayment. I have called over 20 times, faxed paperwork, mailed letters, and requested a reduction based on income. It has been 6 months and they still claim they have not received anything nor will they return any of my phone calls, but continue sending threatening letters! This system is run like the mafia. The mafia explains to you that you owe them x amount of dollars, fair or unfair (usually unfair) and if you don't pay them they come and hurt you. I live with my fiancƩ in Lancaster pa. In our household there are 4 kids. All boys. 3 are his 1 is mine. He has shared custody with his ex. 50/50. He pays hEr child support bc she refuses to work full time. He is forced to work overtime just to pay this and then they hold him to a higher income. She left him with mountains of debt, medical bills for their sick child ect... Last year she was convicted a a DUI on morphine with one of the kids in the car. He had to spend thousands of dollars to take custody from her. When he was on the recieving end of the child support. I was absolutely disgusted with the inequality of treatment and consideration. She did not appear for the first two scheduled conferences. Even tho she was aware if them. She showed to the third bc she was served. She had no job. By this time she was four months out of rehab. Without batting a lash they rescheduled for the following month. To give her time to gain employment. The next month. Still not working, they set her payments at $21 a week for three kids he had full time. He was paying $145 a week for joint. There was a nasty custody battle b she decided she wanted custody back and didnt want to take the proper steps in proving sobriety and gaining it back thru mediation. She went to court, no evidence- just accusations and her drug addict friends to lie for her. We had mountains of evidence- her relapsing, missing visitation, emails & texts to show he had zero concern for her kids and did not participate any more than her supervised visits. Anyway. The entire situation disgusted me. He has been forced to work overtime to make up for her incompetence and then he is punished by having a higher income level. Why not hold him to a 40 work week and her as well?! She has every other week to work extra hours! Why is it ok for her to work 20 a week when he is forced to work 60?! Why is he being forced to pay more than what her admitted expenses are if he is only to cover 80%. The laws in this state are backwards. I believe they are blatantly sexist and feel their should be some sort of outlet for these complaints of inequality. He was never married to her. She has been a drug addict for the last ten years and neglected the kids. She stayed home. But in no way mothered them.REPORT COMMENTS

Let me start off saying i vote. You know i have analyzed this corrupt system many times over. The conclution i've came up with is this proposal! If every human being in America refused to pay child support, and accept a jail sentence the states would not get the government incentives that they currently do. Yes they would get funding for the jail stay, but they would not get the federal funding. The federal funding is the cash cow the states want. I mean think about it if you needed heart surgury would you operate on your arm. Of course not...what i am saying take the states cash incentive away, and you take away the child support. Now let me say this...I DO BELIEVE IN SUPPORTING YOUR KIDS BUT I DON'T BELIEVE THE STATES SHOULD GET RICH OFF OF OUR CHILDRENS BLOOD. The states would not be able to build enough jails if everyone stood up and just said enough is enough...as long as we just complain nothing will happen, cause the corrupt politicians still get their pay check.REPORT COMMENTS

Child support laws need to be rewritten. An unbelievable amount of women are using children as a paycheck. If the money is for the children than why cant Fathers be able to provide an account or something of the sort that you know will be used for the child? My ex has never worked. My children are 9 and 10. She has had 2 more since. She has never left either her mother or fathers home. Does not pay a dime to anything still to this day. My husband pays child support for a girl he has never seen. He has tried and all the mother says is keep sending the money and don't worry about her. He only brings home a 100 per week after child support. How are we supposed to live off this and take care of the family we have as well. Where is the justice when your ex takes out a child support order on a child that doesn't live with them and uses the money to care for themselves? My child lives in a completely different state with his grandmother, than my ex. But my ex doesn't send my child a dime!!!!! This is absurd. I pay $800 a month which is 1/4 of my income while my ex-wife spends it on marijuana and doesn't work a full time job. She is using me for a well fare check. I have paid her over $40,000 in cash. Meanwhile, i get taxed on this income and she doesn't. Her family brings in more money than my family and we have the kids 50/50.
