I agree with this 100%. We are paying child support for my husband's two children so that his ex can sit at home, buy expensive boutique clothing, get mani/pedi's and talk trash. It's time to either make these women work to help support the children she gave birth too or the child support should be lowered.

I am a woman. The system has no way to account for the money paid into the system or no way to control who messes with your file. The court doesn't care about you, or your child. Really. It's just a well paid, easy job for the whole amount of many offices and positions. I feel bullied. My case was closed in 2011. My daughter is 24 and someone at the states attorney office and the child support people reopened it. They're able to do whatever they want to do.I have no rights basically. They don't issue reciepts, or do they claim to yet they came back 'undeliverable'. I would like to find others in a position as I am trying to reason with blank faces.

Recently i moved to Minneapolis MN mainly to try to resolve an imappropriate case with the Henneping county and family justece center along with Joylena Sims. For many year my income could had been multiple time largest than what it is today but because the interruption from government agency such child support administration it is rethar very poor. The worst of it is the fact that i was deprived to see my daugther, i never know that any of all they money i had paid is being hand to my one child. In addition, my ex-girldfriend decided to have two other kid which are twins, she figueres these kids are also my and that is so inappropriated and abusive. I could have done much better providing income for my only child. I could have had better work history and i would not have had to strogle or be homeless for more than five years. The war around the world and all the killing around the us is part evidence that proves a lots of gevernment agency are not doing a good job and that is exacly how i fell about Minneapolis MN Child Support. I do believe every man is always willing to provide for his child or as long there is reasonable agenda, it is always easier if father live in the same household with their kids so they can share the cost of living expensives. This case has damage my goals in college, my relationship with employers and my health. Nonsense of the governament and the child support administration is abusive. The suspension of fathers or oblige driver lisence, passport dinied, reporting father case to the credit bueau roport and use exccess of forces to take whatever money they think is good to child support agencies. The child support administration assume that a particular obligee or father is responsible to pay xxxx$$$$$$$ amount of money regarlerss of the obligee income and living condition. Fathers have to come up with a money amount much higher than what they possible expected or are able to pay if he was taking care his child on his own.

If the child Is 7 and you did not know you had a child and the mother is looking for money and now she looks for you but never told you she was ever pregnant there should be a limit of when you have to pay. You missed out on half the child's life the woman should be charged with fraud

My ex never paid child support. He is the one that got a free ride. I had a hard time raising our daughter. I had to work my*****off just to make ends meet. The child support division of Contra Costa County never helped me. The system I corrupt, allowing a man to have his own business working under the table and doing side jobs. Yes, the system is unfair, to the millions of women that have to raise their children alone. Especially Black women. Nobody helps us!

I pay child support for 5 kids, so I went to jobs and family services for help to get food assistant. They told me that I grossed to much of a income for them to help me, so what do I suppose to do starve but still pay child support. If you ask me they are not looking at the bigger picture with men and women paying to much child support because they still have to pay rent, feed themselves and clothe themselves also.

You try living when a scaling (general increase) in "child support" penalizes the parent (again, scaling general increase). At $20/hr, 25%(on the low end) brings you down to $15/hr. This figure of 25% ($5) is calculated BEFORE TAXES. Yet the amount of $5/hr is taken AFTER TAXES. Assume 20% taxes. Do the math. $20per hour minus $4taxes minus $5child support. So far we're $11/hr take home pay, almost a 50%loss of wage. Imagine how much harder that is on someone making $10/hr. 10-2-2.5=5.5 (45% loss of wage for a 25% moron ORDER) Seriously! How about we change our voting practices and impeach a few. Maybe then someone somewhere will wake up.

But now I have to pay $25.00 to open a case so they can stop taking out the child support from my check. Why can't I just go to the child support office and show proof that he lives with me and they close his case

I'm retired military after 20 years service. When I filed for a modification in child support that would allow me time to find a new job and settle into a new way of life, I was belittled by the hearing officer. I was told by the Hawaii CSE agency that I needed to find a job that pays me what the military paid me based off of my acquired skills. This is absolutely appalling! No agency has the right to dictate what a person should or has to do with his or her life. I wasn't granted a modification and I was hung up on during the phone hearing. As the non custodial parent we are forced to do more and work harder, and the harder you work to support yourself and family if you have one, the more they're allowed to take from you. How is this fair for you and your family if you have one? The laws are one sided and very biased. I'm a very responsible parent and father, and I'm being talked to and treated as if I'm trying to run from my responsibilities. I provide medical, dental any monetary support my daughter needs, but the ability to provide the same support as I did while on active duty is impossible. Living in the state of Hawaii a person in my Rank and Grade average roughly $9,000 a month before taxes. The same job in the civilian sector pays less than $3,500 a month. When you transition from active duty there isn't a lay off in your responsibilities to support yourself and your family, but you're definitely not making the same amount of money. It's all but impossible to reason with the people who decide what your financial fate is because it's not their money or their lives. The laws are atrocious and need revising.

I believe the Texas child support law should be modified immediately, I am a woman who receives child support and my husband pays child support and we agree the law is messed up on both ends. First thing, I receive very little in support, it is not even near what the state percentage is and because I don't have any kind of assistance from the government I have to pay a penalty out of the child support I do receive. I however don't look at support as a way most people do, I look at it this way, I had my two kids so they are my responsibility!!! I will take care of them and provide for them the best way that I can and my ex husband should do the same as when they are with him. My husband on the other hand pays quite a bit for two kids and yet his ex wife does not work, lives at home with her parents and her boyfriend and his kid and collects every government thing she can, has a brand new high end car and our kids go without at that home. She is a perfect example of most women who get child support, everything is about how much she thinks she deserves!!! And to top it off my husband has to pay a fee because she is on benefits from the state. I am sorry but why is it fair that we struggle and we cannot afford to do a lot of things with our children when we are the ones who actually take care of all four of our kids? why is it fair that women who do not technically financially support their children (as the ex and the state take care of it) get to keep doing this? it is also complete crap that when you want more time with your kids and the state says you only get them on certain weekends and the ex wont budge off of that there is nothing you can do. I believe that if both parents are around it should automatically be set as 50/50, no support to either parent!! everything minor such as food, clothes, etc. should be on the shoulders of each parent at each household and the major stuff like health insurance should be divided 50/50. I could go on for days on this issue and I am so tired of the system and how it works. its like this people if you have kids and you divorce or separate each party needs to take care of their kids when you have them, so get up get a job and stop milking the system and stop trying to run and hide from your responsibilities.

I'm game if you are. We need to change the system. I just received notification that Child Support Services is raising the child support that I pay by over $300 a month. I consulted an attorney who basically said "there's nothing you can do about it". I will probably have to move out of my house. Ex wife doesn't work. so I have to pay way more than my share. If the situation were reversed, I would be forced to go to work and pay or else. This is abuse of power by government that is accountable to no one.

Child support is here to help children right and to make life easier for the mother right so when they take money away from the child father and place him in a tough and when he's unable to pay mind you the mother still has her income intact he can have his license suspended and thrown in jail because he doesn't have money I grew up without a father and am now a father of two going thru this and it make me wonder are the courts worried about the outcome of the child father well being and safety because at the end of the day if he get hurt in jail and can't work any more who gonna pay for the child then if he has his license suspended how can he get to and from work to pay cs while all the mother has to do is cry she doesn't have enough money they raise it on the man it's funny when you really think about it the government control the economy they know first hand they we are in a great deal of trouble when it come to obtaining a good paying job when they don't want to raise minimum wage then they tax you something we all pay for then on top of that they take cs out non tax and then on top of that we have to foot the bill on court costs etc so not only are we paying for our child we are paying for another person collecting cash assistant and food stamp while you child mother has tax breaks that allow them to get more money back during tax season on top of the C's she was all ready getting but let a man on child support try to get food stamps so he can eat they'll look at you like you just committed a crime the way Clinton set men up 1996 is they either want you in jail in which the state collect a pay check for you and you still collecting debt for cs or dead where they don't have to pay for you at all or care everyone should take care of they kids I love my boys to death and I don't want them to grow up in this world where a man is nothing more then a jail token or pay check to a system that favor mother's 9/10 when does a man have to say enough is enough before it's to late please help change these rules am not saying let us not take care of our kids we made them let's just be fair when it come down to raising them it's to many man in bad situations because of their ex being mad and doing this to get back it's really abuse or the system and they sit back and watch men try to make it out while she can drop the kids off at daycare for a 3rd of what she should be paying cause she get daycare assistant and get to eat for free getting food stamps they won't deny her cause the child and still collecting a full month paycheck play a check and a half from the father once a month

Start new 1 monday but have to worry about suspended lic, legal fees etc. THINGS THAT CAN GET ME FIRED. HELLO IDIOTS. Meanwhile, she can go 5 years without even TRYING to work with none of the same worries? This is all wrong. FIX IT.this is one sided accountability.

Child support laws need to be reconfigured, my friend is on the verge of loosing his license and going to jail for back child support. The kicker here is that he has his daughter most of the time, so basically he is paying the mother for nothing. I can understand if he wasn't in the picture but he has that little girl all the time and buys her whatever she wants. Plus he's cared if he makes a fuss the mother will try Nd keep her away from him. No father should be exploited like this especially in this day and age when most child support payments are equal to a months rent.

My husband has 2 of his 3 kids majority of the time due to the school that they are in... he still pays his ex wife support. All of their kids are 10 and up, she has 2 other children with her current husband and one on the way. She currently seeks child support, is on title 19 for insurance for the kids (even though my husband pays for their insurance), she currently collects food stamps, and any assistance she can so she can sit on her behind and do nothing. We run the kids to their appointments, we take them to their sporting events, we go to their conferences and she always and I mean ALWAYS has an excuse as to why she can't so any of this. She is a "stay at home mom" but can't run the kids to appointments? That makes no since at all! She is lazy and collects child support when we have more of his kids majority of the time. This is absolutely ridiculous and the laws need to be changed. We are providing food, clothes etc at our house and they are only there 4 nights a month at her house yet she is making $120 a week for child support. How can we allow her to take advantage of all this assistance when we are working full time and managing to get the kids where they need to be without her help because she chooses to be irresponsible and not work to financially support her children.

Im in the Philadelphia Area. I used to have a successful business. I used to earn a little more money and have the ability to set my own schedule. I also used to live in an extremely toxic home and dealt with an extremely toxic relationship with my son's mother. I made the choice to try to make things better for my son. In the process the system has exaggerated my wages.....the judges said I collect cash payments so he thinks I probably earn twice as much as what I am showing him. I spent several days in jail because I was only paying about 650 per month (I was ordered to pay 990 per month based on my exaggerated income). The Fairest way to handle child support and custody should be as follows. 1. Child Support and Child Custody should be heard together. This process takes entirely too long. I know some states hear both custody and child support together but...it should be this where everywhere. Too many times...topics are brought up that really should affect the outcome of court and the judge replies with ("that is a custody matter"...or "here in support court we only go by what the custody order says"). But in the mean time...you are waiting over 2 years to have your appeal heard for custody. 2. No more lawyers. Some lawyers do what they need to do to milk as much money from the parents as possible. This is not in the best interested of the children. Instead of lawyers each parent should get assigned some sort of government liaison. Or a private family evualuation official. These officials should analyze the situation and represent both of the parents in court (court would be completely different with this type of a system). 3. Child Support: Both parents should pay child support. It doesn't matter how much the parents earn as much as where the child is living. That is how Child support should be determined. Every zipcode has a different standard of living. It costs more to raise a child in a wealthy neighborhood where everybody lives in a million dollar house, compared to an urban neighborhood where everybody rents a house with a value of 15,000. Based on where the child(ren) live there should be a pre-determined monthly "cost to raise a child". Based on the custody agreement....both parents should deposit that value into that account every month. That money should then be accessible to both parents to use for expenses with their children. The major issue is one parent is financially drained and their life is destroyed. Forcing them to lose their business if they had one....or work around the clock so when their children are visiting....they aren't really visiting with their non-custodial parent because that parent is so exhausted and he/she passed out on the couch. Their non-custodial is there physically...but hardly ever mentally. The system is broken....major changes need to happen. Non-custodial parents all over the country commit suicide because of the system...and unfortunately some of them take it a step further and decide to take their ex's or their childrens lives with them.

I pay child support and support my kids. They are always broke and never have any money. Also they don't have enough clothes. It's really hard for me because after paying all the child support I can't pay my rent. I moved out of my house and I live with a roommate in a rundown mobile home. I make good money but after all the child support comes out of my check, the taxes, insurance, etc. I barely have enough to last to the next week. I don't know what to do

Çhild Support no longer favors women in Florida. My daughter has 50/50 custody of her son and the State is making her pay $600 to the lazy, deadbeat father because he refuses to get a decent job. He sits in a call center, has NO expenses as he lives with his father for free, drives a car for free. My daughter makes more money than he does and is being penalized for that. He refuses to make the phone call to have the child support case closed. At this rate my daughter will have to move - probably to a less than desirable dwelling in order to make ends meet. She is now renting a one bedroom (nothing fancy but rent is very expensive), has car payment etc. She won't be able to survive if she has to pay this loser. I cannot believe this is allowed and actually sanctioned by the State of Florida. By the way, the father is 47. Still living at home.

I have been on both ends of this scenario and find that the system is as corrupt as everyone claims. Agreed both parties should share and split the expense of a child and should not be based on a persons income. The system is breeding dead beats and making it harder every day for parents to pay their obligations. A good parent will want to support their child financially and emotionally however the system is creating a situation where the custodial parent can make a career out of the support that is meant for the child. My current husband is being asked to pay 1300 a month for one child who has no special needs is not in daycare and everytime we see this child we have to buy hygiene, clothes shoes and other items that should be paid with the 800 month that she is already receiving. I had 2 previous children and never received support for so I am disgusted with the system that they allow this to go on.

The current child support system entirely benefits the mother of said children without consideration or protection of the child's best interest. Fathers are routinely financially punished by increasing child support obligations while requiring them to pay 100% attorney fees, court costs and limiting their rights to visitation. Fathers rights have been lost in the system and we want to get this changed. Family Law overlooks mental illness and often times considers high-conflict cases to be the fault of both parents when in reality, one parent is often victimized by a mentally ill parent gaming the system at the expense of the children and father. We need reform to give fathers a voice and stop deadbeat mother's from using their children as pawns in order to effectively game the system. Our children are suffering and learning that it is ok to do nothing and take handouts without contributing to society, a dangerous and irresponsible message to teach our young. Child support obligation guidelines should protect all parties involved and directly benefit the children but as of now the guidelines fail to truly serve in the best interest of the children when the system sets them up as pawns to be used for financial gain. This is unfair to fathers and biased towards the mothers. Should single mothers (or fathers) be allowed to not work and live off child support and government assistance while the other party has to work just to pay his obligation in fear of being thrown in jail? Is it fair for some women to have multiple babies just to collect child support and not have to work? There definitely should be guidelines and stricter restrictions put on the party receiving child support benefits. How about drug testing child support recipient's? Job placement requirements? Child support obligation should be based upon; 1. The income of BOTH parties 2. The family size and obligation of both parties 3. Total child care related debt of both parties and not someone's debt based on financial ineptitude. 4. Requirement for custodial parent to maintain employment or forfeit the right to child support. 5. A cap on monthly transfer payments. 6. Documented proof of how custodial parent spends child support and/or fathers ability to collect custodial parents share of extra curricular expenses as outlined in the order of child support (similar to how DCS and WSSR enforces children's medical expense payments from both parents in Washington State).

Agreed the system is sexist against men they don't even try to hide it. If the women can't pay for the kids and the men can then why does the woman always get the kids automatically no matter what. Then sat on there butts and collect child support. If you are a male and have kids in this country you are screwed this is a fatherless country now because the government temps women to leave there child's dads in promises of money and not having to work for 18 years
