How about this one. I was fully supporting my children who were living with me at the time and not only did I physically support them but I was charged child support for those same children as well. Oh and the state has it in their own documentation that I was supporting them, meanwhile the meter on support kept running. This is in Connecticut

Something needs to be done about this! My husband has a child, who I love dearly, he's been in school for 3 years now and his mom still doesn't work. Instead of me being a stay at home mom to him and our child that we have together I work a full time job also to ensure bills get paid and child support gets paid while she just gets to sit at home collecting from him and the government

There should also be a petition for when ex's move out of state and takes a lower paying job to lower their cost of living which results in a lower but an increase the amount of child support they receive where the state where the payers cost of living is much higher . But this is a start in the right direction for more equality.

Please someone help us fathers who want to be a part of our children's life and stop this cycle of abusers of our system. Thanks Good Dad Rob Jordan 540.871.2400

This childsupport system is so disgusting, it is going in to pepoles home's, and it is puting women vs men, men vs women and children vs parents. At its worst behind the debt, killers and rapist when completing there sentance have a better shot at a second chance in life than the non custodial parent. These young ladies and women are conspiring to bare children with motive of leaving the father behind. They are more faithful to a sister hood then to there own husband. I know to many women that has been bless with having perfectly normal children. These children 16 years later or 21 years later are now suffering mental ilness. The children are suffering from mental ilness because the custodial parent has been mentally abusing them by saying that the non custodial parent dont whant anything to do with them and that the non custodial parent dont love them. These are the same imposter women who claim to love there child. Parental alienation is real. How it happends is simple. The non custodial parent choses to reach out to his child and let his child know, look I am here emotionally and financially. In the process of the non custodial parent reaching out to his child, the imposter women will manipulate law enforcement, family members or freinds to act on violence against the non custodial parent any time he comes around. Afther 2 or 3 years of the non custodial parent bing put in this situation, he become aware of that it is in his best intrest he stays away. The consequences of him sticking around are real. He could get hurt or some one else could get hurt. He could go to jail or some one else could go to fail. No Honnor!!!!! This childSupport system is on the path of destroying more families then the war on drugs and immigration. Abolish Child Support. Its time women take responsibility for what they conspired to in a rigd economy that only benefits the 1% and women. Its best one goes one way and the non custodial parent goes the other way with out destroying some ones life.

I feel like its not right for a father to put an mother on child support when she took care of her kids when she had them and after the baby daddy took them from me I still did my job as a full time mother. And even when we went to court and before that I still do my best and on top of all that he'll knowing I have no income he barely let me see my children's or he barely let me talk with them

I agree I believe the court system is unfair when it comes to men especially those that are highly successful I have three college degrees work with children and do many other jobs and am a pillar in the community and I fought for my visitation rights and pay child support as the petitioner and I am still being taken and robbed of all of my successes to pay for my child's mother's house payment and car payment basically it is unjust and the amount taken is very unfair something needs to change as I work hard sometimes 5/6 jobs just so I can support my daughter's mother while she sits at home and hasn't worked in over 9 years and she pays for nothing for my child because she makes nothing and makes my child pay for things from her allowances and money she receives for her birthday

My soon to be ex-wife and I make more or less the same amount of money. We both have the same core series job (title) and have been in them roughly about the same time. I have two additional years and I'm a supervisor, but her take home money is more than mine due to health insurance coming out of my check. I currently pay her $2,000 per month in child support. In this day and age where (many) fathers are involved in their kids lives, how is it fair that we have to pay child support to a spouse who is making a good living. I am constantly telling my kids that I can't afford to do things with them while their mother takes them on week long cruises. The current system almost forces a father to not be involved in their childrens' lives. I don't understand how our system allows for unaccounted money to go to the person that presumably you don't have the best of relationships with. What sense does it make to then force one person to write a check to the other for them to freely spend. I am asking for relief and a cap that isn't so taxing to my way of life and my kids when they are with me. In my situation she was the one that stepped out in the marriage, I have my kids 48% of the time, yet I pay her a third of my paycheck. Please do something to update these laws that are clearly written to assist the mother in raising children. We no longer live in the 50's, in many cases mothers aren't the primary caretakers. I shared that responsibility with my ex wife 50-50. Not only do I loose time with my kids, but to add insult to injury I have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to someone who is financially able to take care of the kids on her own when she has them and I will gladly do the same when I have them. The last thing I will say is that if the courts truly care about the kids and their well being, this child support issue needs to be addressed. The relationship between mother and father deteriorate when checks get involved. While I'll be the first to admit that many fathers will have to be forced to be involved with kids, I am writing on behalf of all of us who coach our kids, volunteer at their schools and try to be involved in every aspect of their lives. Please do something!

If a man feels that way then he should be careful who he has a child with. They tell mothers all the time that they should have chose wisely. The same goes for men. I have a 5 & 8 yr old. I make $16.00 an hour, rent is $715, plus electric and water. I pay $600 a month in child care just so I can work FT. I do not get food stamps or any other assistance. Child Support is needed! To the men out there that believe a woman needs to stop making babies, someone should have told your mother that. If they did, we wouldn't have to talk about why you are complaining about having to pay for a child you helped to create. You can always ho get snipped...problem fixed! There are more deadbeat dads then their are deadbeat moms. That is a fact!

My ex wife moved out of state without telling me and took a lesser paying job. We share %50 percent custody and custodial of our children. I took her to court to make sure my kids could stay in the same school so I could continue to give them a good quality of life. When I walked out of the court not only did I lose the case I ended up paying her 105% more in child support. Because she could afford to hire an dirtbag lawyer. Now my child support payments are higher then I can afford and can't even afford the basics for my children when they are with me or cover my basic bills. I have a decent job and work hard and live very modestly. But in order to keep my job I live in an area where the cost of living is three times hers. This using the system needs to stop. When it comes to child support it should not be a way to bank roll your Ex. It should be balance based on your cost of living not your gross income. If a person is able to work or get at decent job they should be encouraged to do that. Child Custody should be about both parents being able to give their children a good quality of life in both households not one parent out playing the other.

I think its an unfair law and its to be changed, especially during the times we live in being thats economically impossible to hold a job nowadays, and whats even worse? the jobs that are available don't pay well at all! why cant they understand that its not our faults as men that we arent able to pay for our children and the women makes us get into a constant struggle of making us live our lives? Its not a fair law and something needs to be done! I agree with one of the commenters below about changing the law where it should be limited to 200 a month.

Child support laws need to be drastically changed. Women beleive it's okay to reproduce not only with men thet are not matried to, but multiple men. Child support is contributing to the loose morals and no family value mentality of America. If a man is not married to a woman before she conceives, there should be no legal obligation for him to acknowledge or support the child. If he doesn't have a legal obligation to the mother, why should it be extended to the child. 99% of females get pregnant on purpose knowing the man doesn't want a child. Stop encouraging these females irresponsible behavior and hold them accountable for their own choices. Child support should also be limited to 200 a month. Most females do not use the funds to support the children and 1000 for one or two kids a month is unrealistic. There is no way she's spending that amount on the kids and it is her responsibility to cover her household expenses regardless of if she has children. Wake up and stop fostering a population of low life, entitled whores.

I've relocated across the country (after my ex left with my daughter, something i would have been arrested for) and still only see her every other weekend. Meanwhile my ex and her new bf have had another baby & both only work part time. How is this even remotely fair. If my daughter lived with me, I wouldn't need any money from the mother.

Everything is logically wrong with the family court system and Attorney General's office in Texas concerning financial responsibility being largely impressed upon responsible fathers. My middle child's mother receives more than the total amount of child support received by my other two children's mothers combined!! It's a shame that I admit to having some arrears, but it stems from being a new father in a marriage going south while working and going to college full-time 10 years ago. In the last 8 years of all of my children's lives I have been financially responsible and consistent, supportive and in an active role being in my children's lives. They are stretched between Houston, TX and St. Louis MO. Two of the three mothers actually work and have a good and healthy co-parenting relationship with me, but the one who sees the majority upward of $1400 dollars a month has not worked since my daughter was born in 2008!! I have worked my butt off to try to pay my child support down and every time I start making a difference the state increases my child support. Well, 10 years later I'm just flat out SICK of dealing with the OAG office and her BS to boot!!! I am the one who does all; buying clothes, shoes, drop off, pick up, flights, recitals, awards and I don't kick and scream about it.... I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS CRAP BECAUSE THE WEAK FAMILY COURT SYSTEM HAD THE NERVE TO LEVY AND FREEZE MY BANK ACCOUNT THAT TOOK ME YEARS TO BULD UP!!! I MANAGED TO SCRAP AND SAVE $8,000 FOR MYSELF AND MY NEW WIFE AND KIDS IN HOPES TO GO ON A VACATION NEXT SUMMER FOR THE FIRST TIME AS A FAMILY AND NOW ITS GONE!!!! I'M TIRED OF THIS BIAS OF WHO PAYS WHAT AND HOW MUCH, AND WHAT THE MOTHER IS OR ISN'T RESPONSIBLE FOR!!!! 50/50, 50/50, 50/50 NO LESS; NO MATTER WHO MAKES WHATEVER OR IS OR ISN'T WORKING!!!! THAT'S RESPONSIBILITY JUDGE!!!! IT TOOK TWO TO MAKE THEM, 50/50; TAKES TWO TO SUPPORT THEM 50/50!!!!!!!!!!!!

The system gives states too much authority to enact title 4-D collections just to gain federal funding and incentatives. Everyone is making money of the children. It is in legal terms conspiracy, extortion by the initiating parent for financial gain when the "custodial" parent doesn't qualify for title 4A benefits because she works and makes too much money. These loans they are giving "custodial" parents out of federal funding is un ethical, the reason they can do what ever they want is because being a U.S. Citizen of a courporation is a term meaning property not an individual. All they care about is money not the well being of the child or else they wouldn't make it hard for a willing parent to take care of their child. it violates ones constitutional rights to liberty, freedom and happiness. It is written that we the people are inherited and have the right to abolish, reform or alter the government if it jealordizes our safety, peace, happiness and protection. Please don't call this" anti-government" because only a foreign entity can be against something they did not put into power or elect. How many innocent people are jailed unlawfully? The constitution states a debt is not jailable, this is "tort" against an individule at its best. The constitution did not abolish slavery it only renamed it to "debt" and it's sick how children are being used. It is the governments responsibility to take care of us when in need to ensure the safety, peace and happiness, not make certain targeted individuls victims of "child extortion" I been fighting for my child for 3 years while the mother constantly comes up with a new lie to prevent me from getting equal rights. This is not justice at all. This makes me not want to be a U.S. Citizen because of the way the states treat their people. P.s. criminals are in every society, even government. Thank you

Taking 65% of what a man makes on one order is bad enough, but then there are people like me who have 5 orders for the same children which they take 65% per order, ( mother lost custody to grand mother each kid as their born gets their own like a ss number day after their born) then there are guys like me who didn't graduate high school, went to prison a couple of times, can't make more than 10 an hour and we get raped, and threatened with out drivers license, our fishing and hunting licence, our freedom! All the while mom is working 65% less, not worrying about how her bills are going to get paid and she don't have to worry about health care either, because us men eating spam and living in efficiencies bairly making it have to pay for health care too. Where the he'll is the equality in that? How many of you have watched shows like Jerry Springer and have heard teenage girls say that they were proud to trap men by getting pregnant and seeing them for child support? Some of us really wanted a family, but oustepped out, divorced us took everything we pay alamoney, child support, health care and our taxes. Where is our help? We can't get welefair or declare bankruptcy in it, we're screwed, forced to deal drugs, robb,or commit suicide all for what? Oh and yeah, visitations are a separate court. Help, someone Help!
