My 66yrs old veteran father with benefits is falsely accused for domestic violence. His 40 something, wife, who he married was homeless, on drugs, and is mentally ill. She has tried to choke my father twice now so in defense he pushes her off. She gets angry Calls the cop claiming he pushed her and hurt her. In Washington state, they seem to believe the women over the men. She plays the victim, knows how to use the system Hope to see this come in effect. So now my father faces prison, because of this woman. while she living in his house with meth addict friends. Just makes me sick how our laws are so backwards.REPORT COMMENTS

My fiance has been falsely accused of battery and assault by his mentally disturbed ex-girlfriend. We are both living below the poverty line, and despite relying on public defenders have spent thousands of dollars on his defense just getting ourselves to the court that is in another state. This woman could ruin both of our futures and has left my partner and myself in a state of constant panic and fear. Too top it all of, she was the abuser in the relationship, hitting him and emotionally abusing him. We thought this was over and that he could begin to start healing, but instead we get to re-open the emotional scars. Please help keep people out of this situation.REPORT COMMENTS

My husband got a no contact order so he has been basically homeless. This order was charged by the police, prosecutor and court without my knowledge. I've been trying to explain the circumstance that caused a misunderstanding, and the witnesses statements and police report were all vague and false and not a real evidence. Our life has got turned upside down since then. Since they treated me as an alleged victim no one at the city have tried to listened to me at all which has made me feel like I don't have any right, and we both hired our own lawyers individually to prove his innocence. Those who manipulate the laws need to be careful about their judgement on how to handle citizens' lives. They should know they can save people but they also can destroy people. The false allegations of domestic violence really screws up people's lives. This law needs to be reviewed and modified, in order for the legal system to make a correct judgement and innocent people gain civil rights they deserve.REPORT COMMENTS

I've been stalked for 8 years. The ex girl friend said I beat her. She filed false charges, then after this had happened more than ten times, I moved out of the county. That didn't work so i moved out of state. That did not seem to work as I am now facing charges again yet the police and DAs office refuses to get the video from WalMart security that would prove I was 600 miles away at the time she claimed I beat her. In the mean time I am a single father of two kids and now I have lost my job, home and car..Again....If I am not mistaking, Joe Biden has a major hand in this feminist bull..REPORT COMMENTS

I have recently been the victim of false domestic violence charges. My now X girlfriend has not once but twice done this to me. The ramifications caused by these false charges have destroyed my life. Something has to be done to protect the innocent and not just believe the woman just based on the fact that she is a woman. My ex-wife filed 10 recorded restraining orders against me between 2001 -2003, all were denied but one. Which destroyed my professional employment and future housing in the state of Florida. Which cost me approx 100,000.00 in attorney?s fees to stay out of jail. At the time I had custody of our minor daughter and was going after custody of our son, this was her way of creating doubt in the courts eyes. There are all these governmental agencies to help her file these false reports. But what has the government done to help us (victims)? Reverse discrimination! I was accused of molesting my kids and proved my innocence through a psycho sexual dr and forensic polygraph and CPS still was able to convince the judge to put a no contact order in place and as a result I have no contact w/my kids. The ex wife files false report after false report stating I violated the protective order. I'm writing in regaurds to my brother that is sitting in jail at this time that has (4) assault /family violence charges against him. Mbrother is facing 2 10 year stacked time and a 7 year sentence. He has no other criminal record . The DA and prosecutor have already considered him guilty. He has been in jail for 5 months now his first trial is Sept 26, 2011. How can our Justus system be considered equal when someone can make false allegations against someone and the law assume that they are guilty automatically? Our laws are unfair.
