I had three children taken away from me because I tried to protect the youngest one from sexual abuse by his father. The whole court knows he was abused and is deliberately covering it up because it is politically and financially beneficial to them. It is abhorrent that they sacrifice innocent children for their own selfish gain and we need to start holding them responsible. As a mother that went through 10 years of court abuse to protect my child, I have had a chance to see the flaws. $160,000 and all my life savings gone and no one ever was concerned for her safety and well being, include the D.A. then head of Child Support that let the father not pay support for over five years. The father a Yale graduate attorney at law who raped his own sisters, submitted in declarations to the court. The judge simply yawned and said it happened a long time ago. You might say that this happened a long time ago and I should get on with my life, but the effects of neglect has caused innumerable harm. I have lost my credit, my home, my lifesaving and my teeth. At 64 year old I have no retirement or savings account. My court system let me down and my child down. All I observed is a self serving system made up of greedy lawyers and judges that have turned this into a money mill. I was one of the lucky mothers that did not loose her child to the abuser, but I had to pay a huge price for her safety.REPORT COMMENTS

The crisis that exist in the family courts across the U.S. is devastating. The kids are the next generation and what perspectives will they have? Our courts are not investigating abuse properly and they are neglecting children. Abusive parents are able to use this to their advantage and manipulate the child to believe that the court finds nothing wrong and the protective parent is crazy or bad. The child has to decipher whether or not the abuse is okay, is their own fault and/or a circumstance that is to suppose to be "hush hush". The outcome of these cases is a form of abuse and gross neglect as well as abuse of power by the courts! My own case speaks for itself as well as many others. This is America? Just because you are a biological parent it doesn't mean that you are a good, safe parent. My daughter was horribly abused for over 3 yrs because of the courts. I always felt that if anything really bad happened that the court system would protect you. I found out that it's not true. We had evidence, professionals to speak on behalf of my daughter, she disclosed facts and showed on dolls what happen to her and it was never enough for the court. I wrote to every politician I could including the president and first lady. No one in the United States would help. Her father found someone else to abuse and it was more convinent so he left her along, finally. The courts sadly failed us and allowed my daughter to be abused from the age of 3 to 6 1/2. Its really sad that when in that position there is not a way, legally, to protect your child. May God convict all of the judges who are too busy or just not concerned enough to put the childs welfare first. The constitution of the United States states that if you have the ability to protect, you have the responsibility to protect. Our country was founded on that yet chooses not to protect. Let one of their family members be tortured and maybe they'll change their mind about what they are doing. It's innocent, helpless children. We need to pray for this country and the court system.REPORT COMMENTS

My best friend has ran away and is now living on the streets because she refuses to go back to the abusive home she was court ordered to live in. She is only 14 and is nowhere to be found. Alicea, and I strongly and truthfully believe in my heart, I have a very strong case, to be presented before the Human Rights Commission. I have been treated unfairly and cruelly by the legal system in the state of New York, without any cause whatsoever, as a State Teacher, good wife, loving mother and daughter and, I have suffered a miscarriage of justice in the Dutchess County Court in Poughkeepsie, New York. The very basics of a mother?s natural rights and ?human rights? have been undermined. A court that has ignored a mother, an attorney that has perjured and, allowed the father to undertake Parental Alienation, for almost 3 years. The matter of a mother, being totally excluded from the lives of her cherished teenage girls, by a vindictive father and, a biased judiciary all too common in this country. I was swept out of their lives overnight yet, I have had to provide medical, optical, dental and car insurance, pay mortgage payments, make 60% college payments and in addition child support at about $450 a week. I have been accused of being unfit because I go to work as a State teacher at 6:30am and no other evidence. I have been deprived of my daughters and someone needs to take note of this. How does an alcoholic father, who abandoned house twice, having robbed the marital Joint Account and did not pass the forensic evaluation test get custody of two young girls? Contact is then curtailed for the mother, phone calls sparse and limited, blocked access to college which I pay for and medical records. All I wanted was shared custody and yet all the laws have been heavily weighted in favor of a father. I am a mother, an educator who has not seen my daughter?s University because, I was left out kept ?in the dark? and had no access to my girls. I have not seen my girls in 2 years is that fair? I feel it my obligation as a mother, educator of our young generation, and to our society, that people in this situation (there are many I have come to understand), should not in this 21st century have to endure such pain and suffering for the very right they have been given by God. There must be some room for reform. The father (Victor Alicea) and I have been separated since June 2007, has caused all the above with his instant irrational and violent behavior; he has hit me, jumped on me, verbally and physically maltreated me, followed and stalked me, posing as my cousin. (Police reports). I am a victim, who for the past twenty years of marriage had gone to work and handed him my paystub every second week. I am still in the process of litigation and my 14 year old is now somewhere on the streets because she refuses to return to a bad home. Nothing we have presented to the court seems to matter. In my case there is past DV as well as CPS reports against him but no one will listen. Family court is a broken nightmare...... My case is in Santa Barbara CAREPORT COMMENTS

The family law courts in Victorville are broken "There is NO LAW in family Law" There must be something done to stop Commissioner Proulx and Judge Bennett from their money making sceme of sending families to see Psychologist Dr. Suiter who is nothing but a money making con artist. Waxman, Feinstein, and Boxer, It is YOUR duty to the people who voted for you, to make a stand to make new laws in Child Protection. This issue should have made your stomach turn, made you fear for children you love, or at the minimum, look into the current laws that are failing children and DO SOMETHING. We the people demand that you call a state of emergency in family courts in California. as well as the United States. It is YOUR duty to make sure that not one more child dies at the hand of an abusive parent. It is YOUR duty to protect the future of all children, as the do nothing society controlling the current laws are sitting back and watching children murdered, raped, beaten, neglected all for profit. If a protective parent seeks protection for a child, the laws need to be changed immediately, to stop courts from calling protective parents, as well as abused children LIARS. Children's Human Rights are being violated by the current Family Court laws. You three, need to come together and make new laws a priority. Unless you have also turned your back on the Constitution, on Human and Civil Rights, act immediately. Otherwise, we, the people will know where you stand on the issue of Child Protection, Children's Human and Civil Rights, and we will know if you should have YOUR JOB or not. courts are failing children all across the country this is not and has never been just a california thing I am friends with victem advocates in the prosesuting attornys office they say it is incredibly difficult to get a court to protect children in abusive circumstances and also that the DCFS finds most cases of child abuse in young children unsupported not because they are false but because the children are to young to give the kind of evidence needed by the system. A mother may have seen enough evidence and yet all she has is her testimony I also think that most mothers want thier children to have a good relationship with their Father as long as it doesn't compromise the childs safety and in many cases will be happy to allow that relationship if measures are taken to protect the children. stop failing Americas children look into this problem in depth require all judges to study the dynamics of abusive relationships I really think much of the prolem is due to lack of knowledge and training, justice is not a reality for so many abused women and children and instead we have greater power to harm given to those who are abusive why? The actions which so many courts take is to cause many parents to do what the DCFS would have a fit about and that is to take away the ability of a perent to protect a child in any other case a mother who is aware of abuse and allows it in the way these courts demand would have her children removed by Child protective services citing failure to protect. most people don't understand the dynamices of abuse and ignorance just increases it I really think the answer is to reaquire in depth study of abusive and the relationship dynamics that come with it for all those who serve in any court.REPORT COMMENTS
