I honestly feel that the court system has failed in meeting what is in "best interest of the child" and instead it can make the situation worse. I feel in my own experience it can also be a sexist and racist system. I am a Latina and I have been asking the courts to protect my child and I from her abusive Father who is Caucasian and has successfully manipulated the courts and minor's counsel into believing that I am the negligent parent. I have provided witness declarations,police reports, concrete evidence, and I have spent more than $10,000 in attorney fees that her father is an abuser and has failed to do what is best for his daughter. I have completely lost faith in the judicial system considering that I have provided overwhelming evidence of this constant abuse that my daughter and I have been subjected to. I also feel that the courts should recognize abuse towards the other parent is also a form of abuse towards the child.REPORT COMMENTS

My children and I have been victims of physical abuse by my ex husband a San Diego Police Officer. The San Diego Family Court then used my children as currency and appointed a Court Appointed Minor's Counsel who covered up the abuse and failed to protect her clients and then submitted bills for 11 years to the tax payers.REPORT COMMENTS

Family Court needs to be closed. Move the cases to civil court where justice is possible. It should not take 4 years and over $100,000 per side to realize what is best for the children. STOP funding Father's Rights groups who pay for mens attorney's. Many children are taken from healthy loving homes, to live with Fathers who want to avoid paying child support. Protect our babies from abuse. If Dad beats Mom then Son beats girlfriend, Daughter's boyfriend beats her. This CAN stop, MUST stop. PLEASE HELP NOW.REPORT COMMENTS
