I think child support receiver should have to account for every penny and show how it's spent on the kids directly it should not be used how the recipient sees fit there should be guidelines and whatever is not used for the children's needs should be set into a account for there college and there needs to be a more reasonable calculation to determine payments payor should be able to support a home with the income left after the payment and it makes no sense to take all means of making income if one falls behind because of financial hardship they take drivers license how do you get to work if you can't drive business license how do you work if that's taken if you're line of work requires it and your treated like your just refusing to pay even when you don't have a dollar to your name when it's time to pay even though when you have more than a payment you send more it's already stressful enough struggling financially they slander your credit so you can't even get a loan to catch back up its like it's designed to where if you fall down there not going to let you get up its corrupt not to mention there is nothing to enforce the other side of the court orders on visitation except go back to court and have the judge tell the other parent you can't do that you have to let the other parent see the kids only so they can leave and keep right on denying visitation with no enforcement or repercussions for them and there's the garnishments sent to employer's alot of smaller ones don't want to deal with it so they let you go it's illegal but it doesn't stop them because it can't be proved they can just claim it was for other reasons although all was fine till they received the paperwork

I seriously Pray this reform happens. I was determined to be the father of a child and was ordered to pay $500 monthly without receiving a court date to provide check stubs. I can't afford to file a motion to request a reduction so I'm currently struggling to make ends meet. Meanwhile my Sons mother has had another child and yes, she is receiving state benefits and is unemployed. She has multiple kids by 2 other men besides myself and we're all paying child support. I do not get weekly nor bi-weekly visitation, I guess I can only see my son when its convient for the mother.

if this is going to happen then they need to either reform the welfare system or get rid of it....my boyfriend who has been there for his 15 yr old daughter from day 1 in every which way is paying over $500/month because the Mama never has and doesn't want to work. He can't get it modified because on top of what he's paying he would have to pay over $300 EXTRA to even get a court date....mean while we have kids at the house that could benefit if he didn't have to pay as much...oh and not to mention the daughter always complains of having no food at the moms house and asks us for money for various things all the time....the money obviously is not going to support the kid! Terrible!

I agree the child support law needs to be changes asap. The existing Law is just against the Men! The Person who wins is always the women. And the existing law has nothing to do with Child support it is in the most cases a ex spouse support...

I thank child support should be 50/50 both should have to pay there part where they are working are not . Also the ones recieving child support payment. Should not be able to use that as income sent they did not work for it and pay tax on it . But the man are the woman that had to pay the child support should be able to clam it on his are her tax's at the end of the year sent they did have to pay the tax's on it before it was payed out as child support and I also agree that all states must take in effect of all the bills that each person owes and how many kids that have even if kids are grown from time to to they come back home for help from a parent kinda hard to help one of your other kids if all your money is going just to stay a float . Need to check this out found it on the web . And will post it here for Poeple to read found it very interesting . ////// Child Support System Declared Unconstitutional Minnesota Supreme Court upholds ruling In 1975, Congress passed a law which included a last minute amendment to create the Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE). When signing the bill, then President Ford commented that it took the federal government too far into domestic relations and promised to propose legislation to correct the problem. Over the decade that followed, it became clear that OCSE intended to grow in size and power to control all aspects of child support law, seizing that power from the state courts. The size of the OCSE grew, this decade acquiring a staff in excess of 50,000 and costing taxpayers some $3 billion annually. Child support laws were modified, so that simple mathematical formulae are used to make award decisions. This new simplicity is required due to the low level of education of workers who are assigned as "judges" in child support cases. Extreme consequences defined by new federal laws, often carried out automatically and without trial, give the child support enforcement agency power over tens of millions of individuals that surpasses anything previously seen in the United States. After almost 25 years since its start, judges in Minnesota finally felt that they had seen enough. In June of last year, the Court of Appeals decided that the administrative branch of government had exceeded its constitutional powers. "The administrative child support process governed by Minn. Stat. 518.5511 (1996) is unconstitutional because it violates the separation of powers required by Minn. Const. art. III, 1." (STATE OF MINNESOTA IN COURT OF APPEALS C7-97-926 C8-97-1132 C7-97-1512 C8-98-33, Filed June 12, 1998; http://www.courts.state.mn.us/library/archive/ctappub/9806/c797926.htm) The Minnesota Supreme Court upheld the decision in January of this year. "The administrative child support process created by Minn. Stat. 518.5511 (1996) violates the separation of powers doctrine by infringing on the district court's original jurisdiction, by creating a tribunal which is not inferior to the district court, and by permitting child support officers to practice law. Therefore, the statute is unconstitutional." (STATE OF MINNESOTA IN SUPREME COURT C7-97-926 C8-97-1132 C9-98-33 C7-97-1512, Filed: January 28, 1999, Office of Appellate Courts; http://www.courts.state.mn.us/library/archive/supct/9901/c797926.htm)

Today I had to go to court over being behind on child support . I take care of my kids and get them every chance I get, while there mother sits at home and collects every goverment/state assistance programs they have. I've been laid off from work and currently in the process of getting a new job. I have 2 months to pay $2000 dollars in two Months or go to jail for 60 days in those two months I still have to pay current child support obligations and my household bills they also raised my child support while being unemployed. These current laws and tactics need to be looked over

Yes it is not fair that the father have to take the whole child support I think it should be 6 months fathers and six months mother to pay child support and the father should have six months with child and six months with mother that way it would be equally divided amongst the parents custodian parent should be father and mother it should not just be mother now this will stop the deadbeat dads and it was stop the angry fathers for trying to do what's right and getting punished by the mothers because they have the upper hand I think this would be a good idea for the parents custodians parent to take care of their children together separately if that's what it is.

If you have a child us as father we support a child but the system over react by giving to much money a month like 600 one child while mother is driving around in a new car with your child support money the court think that by stripping down a father it's the right thing do it not gathering a child parent it a plus being fair is key there's a lot of raisis. In this world you go to court white judge child support white dad white against a black person and the way they treat it not right they have all the power in court to decide your life god has the power there's one thing that people forgot there's justice when those hurting good people you all have to face god that is one thing you can't run his justice may god be the glory

This needs to go into affect imidiately. I pay more child support than income I bring home after taxes. I actually went bankrupt, had to move back in with my mother, credit score went from 700 to 480 because I couldn't keep up with credit card and car note payments. The courts didn't leave me with enough income to get a studio apartment, pay light and gas, and provide food for myself. They didn't leave me with enough money to pay my car note and get gas to get to work! My source of income!

We are being punished by the Child Support Orders...they really need to look into the so called mothers...all kids should have paternity test done on them...they pick and choose who they want there babies daddy to be knowing they have dirty little secrets...Ive seen to many Maury's and see how selfish and evil..they really are...You are not the father...but within the court system you still have to pay...something is really wrong...please President Trump...As Im married a good man doing rigjt by all his kids...why is he being punished...

President Trump, The minute men walked into a courthouse regarding their children they are immediately looked upon and labeled as a deadbeat Dad. We have to scratch and claw to try to even the playing field with mothers, the system is clearly biased. As a hardworking, law abiding, father all I have ever wanted is the same equal rights as women have in child custody cases. As a member of the hardworking middle class, I work each and every day to provide for my family. The mother of my daughter has not worked any honest day in her life instead relying on proportionately large child support payments and every form of assistance available to her. She "works" the courts and system to get every extra minute possible with my daughter purely for the monetary benefit. If there were no "freebies" because of my daughter so would have no interest in spending time with her at all. All while a good father yearns to spend more quality time with his daughter yet the courts will not allow it.

The child support law sucks and really need to change because I paid child support for 20yrs two years of over payment, did not get one cent back from the state of s.c. never could visit my kids because the mother wouldn't let me , couldn't afford a lawyer because most of my money went toward child support and buy food while the mother was getting food stamps and living in government housing .

I feel punished for having a child after we took precautions. I can barely survive and feel irrelevant in this society without any money to even drive. I just want a practical plan for child support. To make matters worse, I never get to see my child. So they take all your money so you can't live physically and then also they take control of your kids.

All I ask is for a better system this is not right we need a change with these lieing mothers also I can't understand how women have kids if they can't afford it but keep having more that the part I really don't understand so tax payer can support them ? This is a big problem with the state welfare queens that they really on it to much state welfare should only be 6 months there after get a job period the more you keep helping them the more they get to computable this needs to stop for real I feel bad but why keep having more ???????? I hope that 2017 trump help change reform this need to stop the system is killing good fathers struggling parents
