I agree, I was apart of my child life up till she was 6 of age and she will be 9 in August. That change, do to the court system. They didn't take the time to review my information I gather. I had attorney and I still came out screwed. So now instead of continuing to drag my daughter mother to court. I just see her when her mother allows it, knowing we have a court order in place. I dislike the steps u have to go through as a father to get her in contempt, why it has to take up to a month before standing in front of a judge? But if u don't pay your child support u can have a bench Warrant out on u in a matter of minutes? I'm the last resort, I'm having to be put 2nd to the grandparents and who ever else before I get to see my child, and yes I stated that to the judged however its all about proof. I'm one of the good father that wanted to continue to be apart of my child life but the law prevents that. It just some much I went through to post it all but it's not right. It make me as a father wanting to just throw my hands up and walk away from it all. And that's sad to say but true. The court system does this to us. -

I know Kansas Custody Judges just do not care! My husband is a military Vet who only chose to live in this state to be near his daughter. is X has made it clear she does not want him in the picture and she is ashamed to have a child from a divorced family, she is remarried with other kids and only allows her father to see her every other weekend even during the summer and school breaks. He has spent thousands upon thousands taking her to court with no avail. Not one negative comment was made about my husband and his daughter cries and begs every weekend to see him more. His x-wife has more money and cries when she doesn't get her way and the Judge falls for it every time. She blatantly lied to the court but because she's a teacher "she wouldn't lie." The court system does not provide what's best for the child, just provides for who has the most money. I have two daughters and they are allowed to see their dad whenever they want we have an open communication and no set custody so all can be involved, isn't that what's best for the child the more support and love the better?? I don't understand how a father who calls his daughter daily (when her mother allows it), tries to see her as much as possible, did pick her up everyday from school for two years (until mother said no more) and adores his daughter like nothing with no criminal record can't get more time just because the MOTHER states she doesn't feel comfortable with it. Then tells him to go back to Kentucky because his daughter doesn't need him she has her new husband ugh!!REPORT COMMENTS

I completely agree. My kid's mom lives with her parents with no bills of her own and doesn't let me see my son but still I have to have a roommate just to keep a roof over my head. She on the other hand doesn't work and hasn't in 6 years thanks to the support I pay for my son. Support obligations should definitely be equal for both parties. I agree! The system is completely out dated. The customer service is non-existent. This system should better incentivise BOTH parents to continue to grow, encouraging them to enrich the lives of their children. Currently the paying parent (mostly dads) are stressed, belittled and shamed by the combing efforts (or lack there of) of the custodian parent and the child support system. We (The USA) can ill-afford to continue to allow "pop-culture" wisdom to rule our better judgment. I think child support should be ending in all states as the system is corrupt and broken and is only there to line the states and the governments pockets with money. I also think that the dates and the government needs to stay out of family business and affairs as they are not apart of the family or any blood relation to other people's families who are put on child support. In conclusion if the states and the government want to be apart of other people's family business and affairs then they should pay the child support out of their pockets because if they want to act like fathers and mothers and and be apart other people's families and place rules and laws for the families kids that make The biological Mother's and Father's pay child support then the State and The Government needs to start paying for our kids as well. It's sad because I was actually the "good parent" trying to protect my son's best interest and actually took his mother to court, just so I could see my kid. And even as the plaintiff I was dehumanized in a system that cares less about your intention and alot lot more about your check book. I get to see my boy twice a month. And when his mother found out my wife was prego.... Back in court for child support coming directly out my check. And in this 7 months that I wasn't " paying my portion of support towards my child" I already supposedly owe $6000+ and I only saw my son 14 days. I want a fair chance is this unjust system. I would add to that list, the cost of lost time to the paying parent. Meaning, for example, a father who has been paying childsupport yet the mother refuses to allow the father to his children. There should be penalties upon the mother who refuses visits. Now Im not saying in all cases. There are case where the other parent was not safe around the mother or children. Im talking about the mothers who leave thier husbands and move to another state and refuse to let the father see his chilren. Yet the father pays full child support. Whether that matter my baby mother are both teacher and and make good enough income to . I only will be making 9.00 a hour and the child support office here in americus ga only looks at the father.. I pay 451 plus a extra 25 per case until I caught up. I've been on this since 2015 I was making payment but thing got rough when I got injured and lost my job. Every week I'm in the dark or my waters off but I strive daily to make sure my kids get there share. I'm tired of struggling but the child enforcement only makes on the custodial parent comfortable and non custodial parent poorer. Ion have a problem with paying but I have a problem with paying for a child when I still don't have the right to do what I want with my child when I wanna. Child support days everything I buy the child a gift but when the baby mother shRed tears and say the father never did anything the judge never sides with the man. I'm in a little town with not to many job I've lost my license and been threaten with jail but still no justice income tax offset ,worker compensation offset I barley can afford to live. Lost my car and always late on bills it's not fair for a man in the child support court and then all them woman no men to understand. Then you will see that the child support system is a racket that is designed to create a fictional debt that is ridiculously out of proportion when compared to the original "child support" owed (thanks to the manipulation of high interest and unjustified "fees") which in turn becomes the states debt which is then the basis for the state to receive massive amounts of federal funds to cover said debt with "no strings attached"...they know it's wrong because it was designed to be as such. They will NEVER change it. Stop operating under the assumption that our government it ignorant but rather accept the fact which you already know but are afraid to admit... they are wicked and unapologetically greedy. I am sorry but this is the case and there is far too much money at stake for these politicians to even consider giving it up. I am thoroughly disgusted at the fact that I have watched my brother loose his automotive business license because of a hiccup in payments to the child support agencies. This error, cost him his business, the means of how he was trying to support his family and pay his child support was taken from him. Is the idea here to disable these Men / Women to the point of going to jail as an only option? California state does nothing to the "Dead Beat Dads" who are living off of our prison system, (what do they pay?). The Dad's that are trying to keep a job, start a business, amount to something respectable after a family break up, are cut off at the knees for trying to be legit. The state actually hinders their chances of ever being able to rise above or provide. The interest charges of Child Support does not apply in every state of the U.S. I feel that the Interest is not necessary. I plead that the interest of arrears be stopped, wiped clean, zeroed. It is unfair to our American Men and Women who are trying to support their families. They cannot get a loan, buy a house, take a cruise with family, because of the "Interest" on arrears. The child support fees have been paid for, the interest that rolls over and accrues each year or month is the insanity that never gives them an option to catch up or pay off. Stop killing the spirit of our American people. ERASE all interest on child support fees. Let these people have a goal they can achieve one day. Why are they not allowed to take a vacation with a family they have paid fees for plus interest all these years? Please, help me to do something about this!! This interest money does not go to funding college for these children, it does not go to the custodial parent for child raising, the interest is a money racketeering system that the state collects on. No bank account pays 10 percent interest, so no one trying to earn a living and paying child support should be subjected to these interest fees. I am tired of seeing Men who are good and not "Dead Beats" that are losing their freedom to keep a regular bank account , drivers license, business license, savings account, or just a family vacation because our system treats them WORSE than a terrorist.REPORT COMMENTS

Jobs and licenses shouldn't be involved in these cases if you fail to pay because how will you get then to pay if you take away the very license they use to work and this whole rears thing is stupid making me pay for months before child support was thrown at me. Especially parents worth prior acs cases. There's so much things that influct on the men but are e not against the women. Most of these child support cases are filled by angry bitter women. If the non custodial parent earns significantly less income there should not be any increases to support especially when the custodial parent is married and the child calls his step parent dad.
