I used Lupron for five months about three years ago and it changed my life in ways I could never imagine. I got a tooth extracted in April and am still waiting for it to heal do to the loss of bone mass as a condition of the Lupron. Once it dose I'm not even sure the implant will take to my bone because the lack of. I also just had another laparoscopy and cauterized all my endometriosis and am not healing. It is now my third week and I am still in horrible pain. I am convinced that the Lupron has effected my healing time. I also still suffer from memory loss which probably has to be one of the most annoying and difficult things to deal with especially in the workplace. I think Lupron should defiantly be banned.

I WOULD LIKE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE SAME EFFECTS ON MEN AS I HAVE HAD MANY OF THE SIDE EFFECTS MENTIONED ABOVE SINCE TAKING LUPRON DEPOT INJECTIONS FOR PROSTATE CANCER.

My dad had a 1 large dose of Lupron for treatment of prostate cancer and after that he was never the same. Loss of memory, trouble with balance, loss of bowel and urine control, bone pain and stiffness, loss of vision. In the last, he was bedridden, blind, couldn't eat or drink and had severe pain with any movement of his body. His memory was totally gone and he could not talk. My dad was very strong and healthy when he took this shot. Five yrs. later I watched him go thru the most painful death all due to this Lupron shot. He did not die from prostate cancer just the treatment given for it. Congress needs to investigate Lupron and the dosage limitations and side effects.

This is a terrible drug! In addition to not being effective in treating endometriosis, the manufacturer doesn?t disclose information regarding potential side effects. They warn you might experience things such as having difficulty sleeping and hot flashes?..however no one tells you that you will wake up every day with joints so sore that you feel like you were just hit by a truck. Please get this poison off the market!!

Dear Congress I asking for your help to have a drug recalled from the market. It is called Lupron. It is destroying my daughter?s life. Lupron is used for Endometriosis, Prostate Cancer and Autism. I am asking for your support and assistance to have it removed from the market. Since my daughter received the Lupron injection her life has not been the same. She has had to withdraw from higher education and unable to work. She received one shot 2 years ago and has not had a normal life since. The doctor only told her of the menopausal side effects and nothing else. It was hard watching her suffer those symptoms at 18 years old but worse watching her life slip away now. It is like a slow ticking bomb. The worse part is when she goes for any medical help she is treated like she should be admitted to a mental health program. She is treated like she is crazy. Please read below and what my daughter sent to Ms Spears. I saw a story on channel 13 news on October 30, 2009. Contact 13 Chief Investigator Darcy Spears talked to women in Las Vegas and across the country who are begging federal authorities to investigate and recall what they say is nothing short of overpriced poison. Renowned endometriosis experts like Dr. David Redwine steer clear of it altogether. "Lupron does not make endometriosis go away so the cure rate with Lupron is zero," Redwine explains. "So if you take the rate of essentially 100-percent side effects and compare that with a zero percent cure rate, I think it's clear that the risks and side effects far outweigh the benefits." The FDA has more than 12,000 adverse events from Lupron patients on file right now, including more than 1100 deaths. Currently KTNV.com has 3 stories regarding Lupron depot. 2 are called ?over priced poison? and one regarding recall of Lupron. Select the contact 13 tab and they are all listed in the contact 13 investigations section. I urge you to visit the site read the story and watch all 3 videos related to it. Side effects that have been associated with the use of Lupron Depot frequently include hot flashes and night sweats, and less frequently palpitations, syncope, and tachycardias. Other side effects include generalized pain, headaches, nausea/vomiting, fluid retention, acne, hirsutism, joint pain, loss of sexual desire, depression, dizziness, nervousness, and breast changes such as tenderness, pain, Anxiety, appetite changes, development of male characteristics, dizziness, general pain, inflammation of the vagina (vaginitis), insomnia or other sleep disorders, joint pain, memory problems, skin reactions, stomach or intestinal disorders, unusual burning or prickling sensation of the skin, weakness, weight gain or loss. Dear Darcy, My name is Christina Smith. I am 20 years old. I was told about your investigation on lupron by my mom. I went online to see what your stories were about and if I am relating to these women. It brought me to tears; it felt like I was those ladies. I received the

Why aren't government agencies doing the oversight they are supposed to do to protect the consumer? The pharmaceutical companies reign unchecked.

I am still suffering from being injected with Lupron Depot. When I complained to the GYN physician who recommended Lupron and told me I had no other choice for the removal of fibroids, she told me it must be something else because she never heard of the problems I was having after being injected for 3 months--she told her nurse to tell me to go to urgent care. I suffered with extreme joint pain, excessive weight gain (46 pounds) with water retention. I had problems standing up and walking due to the joint pain. I had problems raising my arms due to the the joint pain in my shoulders, I was hospitalized. I fear what will happen with my body in the future, before the injections, I was active, I walked every day, at least twice a day for 2 miles and I would go hiking on trails without even sweating. Now I pray I don't develop lupus or any other problems that will jeopardize my health. Are companies and doctors so money hungry that they have no problem fatally endangering peoples' lives who trust in them to make their bodies better? It was reported that 1100 people have died from taking Lupron Depot.

I've seen what the side effects of this drug have done to my friend who was very healthy before this. It would be a crime to continue its use if there's proof of the serious consequences. This investigation is vital to the future of those patients whose doctors still prescribe Lupron and its derivatives.

I wa given a 6 month course of Lupon to shrink my fibroids prior to having a hysterectomy. I have been left with crippling arthritis in my knees and hypertension. The hypertension is such that I take daily medication to treat it and I have been told that I will need a total knee replacment in the near future - for now I take over the counter pain meds to try to deal with constant joint pain. It has interfered tremendously with my ability to enjoy the work I do as an ICU nurse because I am on my feet all day and now I am in pain constantly and I often limp when walking. Lupron has dramatically reduced my quality of of life and threatens my livelyhood.

I have been forced to watch my wife's health deteriorate since she had a Lupron Injection in October of 2005. We've had many trips to the ER, trying to find answers to severe headaches, stomach attacks, swelling and joint and bone pain. I almost lost her on the operating table due to an allergic reaction to medication while having an hysterectomy - an hysterectomy AFTER the Lupron that was suppose to cure her endometriosis. I hate to think of other people going through this nightmare, being afraid to plan for a future that might never be. Lupron is NOT a cure! It's poison!

My sister was given the shot in 2005 while she was a volunteer fire fighter and EMT. She used to play sports with her kids and also married. She now has a hard time getting out of bed in the morning, and the most she can do in a day is maybe walk with her dogs around her yard for about ten minutes. Then she goes in and has to soak in a bath before taking a nap after being awake for maybe 4 1/2 hrs. How does a super fit woman become crippled at the age of 38? Luckily she has a husband who loves her and would do anything for her because how many people do you think would marry someone knowing that everything they enjoyed with this person they can no longer do? They used to go camping all the time or she would play paintball with everyone, now she sits on the sidelines and has to watch. This drug has taken away everything that she loved. They can barely make it financially because they used to be a double income family and now only her husband works. When does congress start to listen to the voices of all these people? Or is it only when it happened to someone in their families? Help them now and keep this from ruining someone else's life.
