Since my diagnosis of endometriosis and fibroids, I was given Lupron. It not only puts you into menopause, but it is like menopause times 100. The same time I was recieving my injections my mom was going through menopause naturally. I called her and asked how many hot flashes in a day she got, she said about 4 to 5, I told her I was over 100 and quit counting. The third shot I recieved definitely something went wrong. My back had a black & blue mark that was 12in by 12in, it was purple, red, swollen, and the pain was unbearable. Since that time I have had constant back pain. I have had 3 surgeries on my back. I also ended up having the hysterectomy anyway, because the fibroids and endometriosis came back. I now have osteoarthritis, insomnia, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, osteopenia, underactive thyroid, chronic migraines, carpal tunnel, degenerative disc disease, and reflex sympathetic nerve distrophy, which is a pain disorder. I went from taking midol for cramps to taking cymbalta, lyrica, vicodin, synthroid, motrin, aleve, adipex and fiorinal. I am only 41 yet I feel like I am 97!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Have taken Lupron in the past and of course doctors say its perfectly safe because they dont have the facts to say otherwise, shame on the FDA for allowing this medication to slip through the cracks without proper testing.REPORT COMMENTS

Many problems related to the use of this medication. In addition, many other patients think tha is a link between this med. and MSA, Shy-Drager syndrom. This is a disease with terminal results. Meaning dead withing 5-7 years after diagnose of it. Please, do more investigation on the long term effects since many people are diying.REPORT COMMENTS

I do not believe this drug cures or lessens endometriosis. It is totally useless and causes more damage to women. You take the drug, have permanent side efects and then have to have surgery anyway. Worthless and dangerous.REPORT COMMENTS

Lupron does not cure nor lesson symptoms of endometriosis, infertility, or fibroids. It is a useless drug that causes adverse side effects that greatly reduces ones quality of life. Including the inability to work full time or at all which overall effects the financially stability of our Country. This fact alone should be motivation enough for Congress to demand a long and short term investigation into this horrible drug. Ironically my Father took the same drug for advanced Prostate Cancer. He too suffered tremendous side effects until the day he died.REPORT COMMENTS

Lupron should not be the perferred method for treating Endo., but unfortunately it is. I strongly believe that no other research has been done to find a cure for Endo. because most doctors believe Lupron is the answer. It is NOT!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Immediately after taking my first dose of Lupron, I experienced side effects of bone pain and dizziness. These effects and more only got worse over time. Years later, I am still experiencing the same symptoms. Only to be told by doctor after doctor that they cannot do anything for me. This needs to stop! I am begging. Don't let this continue.REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Congress, Please investigate this drug & work to warn people of the dangerous & life long terrible side effects. For more than 15 years I am still having problems from this drug. Please do more to at least warn people of the dangers of this drug & get them the proper treatment after being harmed by Lupron. Thank you, Lisa PlanteREPORT COMMENTS
