I have had Neuropathic burning pain in my neck and spine for 3 years among MANY other conditions. If it wasn't for pain meds....I wouldn't be here right now.

I am sick of being labeled and viewed differently because of my titanium neck and 4 level cervical fusion. A drunk driver did this to me, and now you expect me to just grin and bear it? My pharmacist does treat me differently and they call out "comments" that everyone can hear as they have narcotics in a separate area. I do not want to be like this, so please, let me just have a bit of pain relief. Thank you.

Not having access to medications that can help make my chronic intractable pain somewhat bearable is taking it's toll... Why keep fighting when I'm not getting any help? What is the point in living when it's just day after day of suffering. I'm 35 & the idea of going on like this for another 35+ yrs is unbearable.

Anti-inflammatories cause bleeding stomach ulcers and diarrhea. ESPECIALLY if you have GERD.

I have RA and Fibromyalgia and a few other ailments that make it impossible to work and I am in pain 24/7 I feel it is wrong that respectful real people in real pain looking for real help medically are afraid to because so many treat them like they are only looking to get drugs for recreational use or other reasons not everyone is..some of us are in real true pain and have real medical issues....

Please don't make life even worse for people who are already at their wits' end and who are suffering. Narcotics are effect and inexpensive options for pain control and have been around for ages. Taking it away is unthinkable! You will cause countless suicides when people in agony no longer can have the proper medication.

It took decades to find a doctor who would listen to me, and it is wonderful to finally be taken seriously regarding my fibromyalgia and spinal stenosis issues. I remember one past doctor actually accusing me of only coming in to ask for 'narcotics' when I came into his office in major pain, he said I could "learn to live with it". Years later, I know how very wrong he was to inflict needless suffering on me, simply because I was in pain. Compassion for patients is what pain sufferers need, not the DEA!

I feel everyone's pain with this subject. I have had 6 back surgeries since 2003. On my 3rd back surgery the Dr. damaged a nerve in my back. I woke up to no feeling in my leg and severe foot drop which lead to me breaking my foot and developing RSD/CRPS. I'm struggling now as it is with getting my current pain management Dr. to listen to me and be properly medicated (in which I'm still not) and the insurance companies have more power than the Dr.s now, why give one more person the same power. A person knows their body and what works but we have no say in how we're being treated with medication as it is! It's bad enough we're judged by society, now here's someone else to dictate "what is right for me"! Don't give them the power! They have enough!

I have a growing tumor size of avocado & my pain management MD (really a P.A. under MD supervision) is refusing to raise my doses temporarily until my post op lessens...I am never early to refil; all my random test are clear, and I next to NEVER ask for med increases. but I am bent double & can't do a thing! My life is a mess right now :( I just want to DIE. ( I would NEVER commit suicide, but nefore this attempted it several times I'm glad it didn't work my kids would be a mess, they have told me!please mom we love you please do not kill yourself (they r all in their very early 30s....) I am glad I didn't I ended up being a labor coach!! Oooooo wow, I saw the miracle of birth & & never again has suicide been an option for me!!!
