END DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

Messages Sent So Far
Please stop the messing with our schedules. It's an antiquated practice that only aggravates people. As it is Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, and America Samoa do not participate in this practice.

DST does nothing to save energy but it does a lot for car wrecks and makes me feel off for 8 months out of the year.

Just put it 30 minutes in between and leave it! Best of both worlds.

I prefer standard time. The days will get longer no matter what we do to artificially alter time even more. Stick with standard time. No more DST. Once the clocks are changed one last time in October 2018, change them no more after that!

Let this be the last time we change our clocks-more evening daylight means more productivity.

I hate this practice. It messes me up for weeks after each switch twice a year. I'm sure it affects business production and everyone I know hates it too.

Please stop the absurd practice of moving our time around. Keep it ahead, keep it back, or Spring forward 1/2 hour and be done with it.

It was one thing when there was only one clock and a watch to change in a household. Now that we have multiple time pieces and numerous appliances dependent upon the current time, it has become absurdly ridiculous to have to deal with this hideous and unnecessary law. Get rid of it!

Daylight savings time is a monument to the stupidity of man. It is a national embarrassment and needs to stop . 2 or 3 states do not participate in this outrage and we should follow their lead. Abolish the thing already, it serves no purpose and is completely ridiculous and without purpose.

People who say that "we need more daylight" or "it's less depressing" you clearly don't notice that the time of sunrise and sunset change independent of what time we say it is! Sunrise gets later and later from the winter solstice to the summer solstice, that's natural. So keeping our clocks on daylight savings time wouldn't make any sense, because it doesn't end up giving us extra time anyways. And some states in separate time zones would be on the same time. That's just stupid. Beyond the fact that earth naturally has cycles of later sunsets and earlier sunrises- there is research about the detrimental effects of daylight savings time. There are statistically higher rates of heart attacks, traffic accidents, even strokes around the time we change the clocks. Because we mess with people's circadian rhythms. And there is no evidence to show that it reduces energy consumption- if anything we consume more.

Getting out school and work when it's light out is great. Kids need more daylight Afterschool to play and get outside. Especially for organized sports. It's less depressing and people are happier and healthier when they can get outside and it's still daytime out.

I think daylight saving time has out lived its purpose and needs to end. Farmers no longer need the daylight to work they have lights on their tractors so all this time change does is mess with a persons body twice a year for a couple weeks every year let’s end daylight savings time

I have to get on a chair and lean over a table to reset my clock. If I can't switch my age back, then what the heck do we need to switch the clock back. This isn't little house on the prairie ... I'd rather switch the time back to the day before January 20th, 2017.

Tired of losing an hour sleep. School kids go to schhool when it it still dark. So unsafe the & ashamed wer are still doing this. Legislation should not have kept it at daylight savikng time. Never worked back then & to this day does not work. Time to stay at standard t ime & NOT DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME.

DST is just an antiquated practice that only aggravates people. It has no place in the modern world as our energy use is 24/7. It's not like we're just powering light-bulbs like they did in 1940. Day light savings time has no place in 2018.

This is such a stupid thing. no one likes it. I think we should jump ahead 30min and call it good for the rest of the year and stop messing with something that doesnt need to be messed with any more. You cant even train your body to wake and sleep at the same time every day if it keeps changing!

When I was younger, I enjoyed transitioning to DST in spring as we would get that extra hour of daylight in the evening. But now I think this bi-annual time change is stupid, antiquated and just unnecessary. It is time to end this stupid practice once and for all!

I do not support transitioning between Daylight Savings Time and Standard Time. As with any issue, there are supporters and detractors. Why not just split the difference? In lieu of moving the clock one hour either forward or back, move it a half hour and leave it there in perpetuity. This way would mitigate the drastic change we experience at the start and end of each day. Changing the clocks twice a year is a bad paradigm we are stuck in. We need to stop this fruitless practice.
