END DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

Messages Sent So Far
Please stop the messing with our schedules. It's an antiquated practice that only aggravates people. As it is Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgina Islands, and America Samoa do not participate in this practice.

World War 2 is over, farmers hate it and I don't know a single person who thinks daylight saving time is a good idea, and I have never heard a genuinely good reason to continue it. So let's end it once and for all.

It is now 11:23pm in Atlanta , Ga. Sunset was 8:52pm. It would be perfectly fine with me if sunset was 7:52pm. The longer the day is here the more you use air conditioning , which does not save energy.

My energy bill doubles when DST comes on because of my AC coming on trying to cool when it's so hot after 8:30!

Summer saving time is a huge waste of energy. It's still very hot when working people gets home. Every family turns on AC. It uses more energy than one AC at work place. Plus the A C has to run till 11 pm instead of 10pm if there is no daylight saving time.

Daylight savings becomes unbearable for parents of children in the summer, especially in the south. It's still 95 degrees at 6:00pm, and waiting longer to go outside cuts in on bedtime. Please end this nonsense.

There's 600 to 700 people a year that die because of this. Remember what the old Indian chief said about daylight savings time, only the whiteman thinks you can cut a foot off one end of a blanket and sow it on to the other end of the same blanket and have a longer blanket. See the Madness!!?

I think its time to end this practice. I believe it was initially implemented to provide farmers with more year round daylight and it not as necessary at it was 30+ years ago.

People who like it to get dark at 4:45 in the winter???? Are they kidding. Many people in California do not see the sunlight for several months, except for a few precious minutes in the morning on their drive to work. When they leave work at 5:00pm it's already dark. I say leave DST all year round. Doesn't it make sense that in the winter in California it would get dark at 5:45pm?????

Please put the time to an hour back (fall time) and leave it there for Florida! Who can enjoy summer? You have no time - it is hurry the whole day, the whole time! What is the sense in having extra sunshine and you don't have the time to enjoy it. How can the folks visiting enjoy anything? Put the time back and leave it there - No more hour ahead, you are not accomplishing anything except no sleep and no time to do anything because the time just ticks away!

NO! Don't end DST, it's been around this long why change it? Just keep it the way it is, it's also a way of knowing & feeling the season is changing. I rather like things the way they are.... Thank you. If it ain't broken, why fix it.... BTW, Who came up with the idea to stop it anyway, don't you people have more in important things to be worrying & thinking about besides the DST.....

I have totally had it with DST. I have so many clocks, electronics, and the like to reset, and you have to have an instruction manual to reset most of them, and most of the instructions are written in Chinese, so you don't understand them. It's time we finally wake up with some common sense, and put an end to this crap. It doesn't change anything for the better, anyway! END IT!
