We had our LOVED Grandchildren taking away by DYFS. HOW can we fight them? They have ONE agenda and its MONEY. They said We are ONLY the Grandparents. I want the WORLD to know they are THIEVES HELP US GET THEM BACK THEY LIE . They asked us to be Foster Parents because they have more kids then they can put them and they say to find anyone in Family and so far they turn down EVERYONE because they really DON,T want them to go they want the MONEY. THEY BREAK UP FAMILY,S not HELP like they say they do. -

I am not sure how it is that DYFS works today. I know that I do know many today that work in the system. Although I must share my personal experiences with the DYFS System, considering I was a child that grew up in the DYFS Foster Care System. I must be honest it completely failed me. I was molested for years within this household that I grew up in and I complained about this to my worker. The reply that I'd get from my worker was that I should try and stay away from the preditor when ever he or she walks into this home to avoid such incedents. The reason for this was because children of my age were not easy to place into another home. I think of this reply today and can node my head, realizing it more today that this caseworker FAILED me completely. I am who I am today and the great mother that I am today because of my strength in the Lord, if it weren't for that I'd be completely destroyed, physically, mentally & emotionally. I have to be mindful that I am a very strong person, who refuses to leave my children with anyone because the one thing I don't have today is trust in anyone that walks or talks. In saying that this means I pretty much trust no one, due to what I had to encounter growing up. I've been my childrens only caregivers.. because I never had to faith in leaving them to anyone. I had no mother & no father & my foster parents weren't protective of me. That being the case I knew they'd care for mine a lot less. So the bottom line is the DYFS System Failed me completely. I am sure they have failed many others as well. I wish I could speak to my worker today to give her my thoughts on how she handled her job back then. I would get great pleasure in that, although I am sure she may not be here on earth with us today, considering I am a lot older today then the little teenage young lady that I was back then when I was mustard through the Foster Care System. I was cared for by my caregivers only for the money, never for the love or affection that should be given to any kid. I pray the system does not fail everyone and that the system takes a good look at themselves from within. Sincerely a Adult that grew up in the DYFS System which FAILED her. Blessings to you all. I pray for all the kids that are grewing up in the system today I hope families are not just doing it for the money like my foster families did. They faithfully waited for the 21st of the month to get that check and quartly for the Clothing allotment given to them for us that was used for themselves. The Systems does need help and lots and lots of training, and needs to be more attentive about the children they sadly to say must grow up in it. Mrs. Distraught but not Broken.REPORT COMMENTS

I never done nothing but raised my son right way all though I have backround from years ago changed my life My brother died from overdose found out I was being cheated on baby's mother was drinking and driving in danger in the welfare of child they made me lose jobs told me I wasn't to be in contact with him and made me take alot programs kicked me out of my living situation gave them all clean urines I don't feel bad for that person at all they are so crooked and they ruined my son's life mine and messed with my family so good job hope they start looking in the good with people instead of slandering and judging instead of focusing on the real problem the ones who did the problem or put there kids at riskREPORT COMMENTS

I've had numerous unpleasant runins with dyfs bcuz of my past, (what happend to me as a child) and for that reason, & even tho I've cooperated with them they still wouldn't help us. My daughter, & my 3 sons had been taken away bcuz of small things and after the babies were in my care, Released into my custody each & every time dyfs would do an evaluation & even if the kids was well taken care of they still took them. Dyfs has been ruining lives since I can remember. I was in foster care my whole life, even when I was adopted. I'm tired of the system. Somebody please help put a stop to this..REPORT COMMENTS

I think that DYFS doesn't investigate much before breaking up a family or taking the children away. They have taken the kids from a friend without a court order in the middle of the nights. The children were frightened being woken up to be pushed and shoved into a "stranger's" car. The abuse needs to stop but from this corrupted system.REPORT COMMENTS

I feel Dyfs just takes kids for no reason half the time.. They just want the money the kids are worth that's all.. I was refused custody of a family member.. But yet I raise my own kids never had them in my life.. Instead of putting my family member in the home with us they put him in a foster home in Camden where he was molested... Dyfs refuses to even acknowledge certain abuse performed by the other parent just because I (as the other parent) is taking care of things. My daughter can come home with a very high fever with no medicine given and end up in the hospital but they don't see it as abuse on my ex's part because someone ended up taking care of it. They take with no just cause and don't investigate things that are important. Soon my ex will have visitation with my youngest daughter (who is special needs) because his neglect has never been taken seriously. I think they should stop being so lazy, do their jobs and find out the truth no matter what the outcome is. They need to stop judging based on other factors and do their job.REPORT COMMENTS

Dyfs is a joke.. they hurt the one a who do there parental duties. But ones who have a disabled child who molested a family memeber can stay with Gus family n his father keavea him sself for many hours with no supervision he's 12 with a mind set of a 7 yr old.. n dyfs is involved n is ok with it.. you've destroyed to of my friends lives one for loving the wrong man n she did all n used the time thing n you forced her to sign papers n family who adopted played her .. saying u can still have contact n was a lie.. but you key a mother who was unfit Jill 2 kids before you did a damn thing .. it should be a law that dyfs workers have to have kids .. n dyfs have someone over them who checks into things.. the people who should loose there kids don't.. your nj dyfs systems is a joke.. instead of worrying about healthcare n immigrants .. worry about the lil Americans who are helpless who don't have a voice .. you say it's for the better intreat of the child... I to have had felt the rath of dyfs. I have always made sure my kids never went without. They make our damn near impossible to get your kids back. I did everything they asked and still I had to sign them away. Because if I didn't I would lose any child I May have in the future. Mind you I have two older kids that I have joint legal custody with my ex husband. So I was left with having to choose losing my younger two or all four. I actually had a worker that cried for me and my kids because she had never in her years seen the kind of love we have the connection we shared. Needless to say that worker was taken of the case and I was assigned a adoption worker. My kids thank god was put and adopted by a great family. But not all kids get that. Kids that need to be taken aren't nine times out if ten the removal of kids are from families who do take care and love their kids just have everyday problems of the world are the ones who lose out on the joys of their family.REPORT COMMENTS
