I was an excellent foster parent for 6 years. I fought for my children, they thrived but I made a lot of lazy, evil workers mad. False allegations from a new daycare worker, I was at the center 4 years, and they came in took my 3 foster children, one I was trying to adopt. In addition they took my adopted, special needs 5 year old son. This is a revenge case with no evidence. Lie after lie. They refused to put my son with family or even let me see him for 8 days! My poor little man thought it was all his fault. I would be writing for days if I exposed all of it. Please, please stop this abuse of power!REPORT COMMENTS

I just turned 21 when dyfs came like a bat out of hell into my life. I had JUST birthed my first son and the nurse called on me because she claimed my baby was lethargic and barely breast feeding. Mind you, the umbilical cord was tied around his neck and I'm sure it's also a drag having to squeeze out of a hole the size of a naval orange..I would be tired too! The caseworker comes and asks about any HISTORY(this is where they snatch you) of drug use/domestic violence. My sons father and I, young and ignorant, told the truth. *face palm* We had smoked weed in high school and also got in trouble with the police for fighting. But, 3 years later...it's relevant to dyfs. We were told that our baby tested positive for anti depressants, they kept my baby in the hospital for 11 days and automatically had me in court as opposed to handling the situation in the field. I came back negative the day my son was born and again and again and ultimately they had ruled the case of drugs as "unfounded" yet, kept it open because of our admission of past marijuana use and fighting as teenagers. They recommended every evaluation, assessment, parenting, anger management, therapy session known to man and the judge, and my own public defender kissed their asses. The caseworkers don't care that you're young or uneducated about your rights, laws, and dyfs as a whole. They are desensitized and view you as a file rather than a human being. They do not help you if you don't have much of a support system/family or are in need of housing, they allow you one hour per week visitation, supervised, and on their grounds, or a public place. They fabricate, downplay, or magnify surface dirt in hopes to defame your character which, makes you snap or drives you away. They deny relatives of getting custody of your children for stupid reasons. They claim to have zero resources other than what they have ordered you to do. They lump every case into one basket rather than using any actual common sense, empathy or psychology. The caseworkers and supervisors are detached and show clear signs of narcissism,egomania, and sociopathic personality disorders. These people are psychopaths. Please make your moves with them wisely. Do not show them any emotion. Give them the same stone face they give you and make it your job to request just as much ridiculous******as they do. Make these caseworkers work! You need a lamp, tables, dressers, a printer, a car battery, paint, coat rack,area rug, a ride to sell your old clothes. And make sure you harass them just like they harass you. If they want 3 pee tests, you want 3 large pies for your baby's Friday night sleepover. If they want to be involved so bad, they better contribute! Please educate yourselves on every service they provide, every routine they go by, every right and law that is still in effect. They will take advantage of you if you don't know. I agree with Wow R., my daughter's boyfriend accused her of smoking pot and told dyfs or whole family smoked pot. Dyfs came over, talked to us, met the baby, checked the house, food and water and she left. No problems, although my daughter was sent the next day to get a drug test, she passed. ..then they were called again on a bogus allegation that my daughter was living with a drug addict, FAIL!!! Dyfs/Dcpp whatever you want to call them My Fiance was giving Birth to our baby and because she had a History of Personality Disorder and it was in her chart after she gave birth the social worker was in her room and asking about her past and Social Worker Made a Call to Dcpp and they were at the Hospital integrating My Fiance demading access to her old records and to allow A program to observe her for 24 hours Strangers in our Home, Then when Dcpp looked at her closed records they removed our Newborn without my knowledge based on an old evaluation, Our 4th and 14th amendment has been violated my Family is being torn with stress. We demanded our Baby back and we got her back. But This whole Dyfs Dcpp Cps is corrupted and needs to be Stopped as soon as possible. I have an ex boyfriend who has 4 young children who are still very much in danger thanks to DCPP. Their mother has deemed it ok to take up living with with a 2 time convicted child molester. Who at the last time I checked was not even allowed to see his own child unsupervised. I have watched this man fight and fight for his children's safety. I have watched over and over their mother just get slapped on the wrist. This woman was first on drugs. She was non compliant on treatment. Still ...nothing. 3 court orders said this man was not to be near the children, and yet his was. DYFS/now DCPP rarely did home visits and when they did they were scheduled. The children were told if they said anything about this man being around,then their mother would go to jail. (Parents who do play mind games are more than evil)Still their father would find out and fight for what was obviously right. Their safety should come first. DCPP said it was more an issue to uproot them from New Jersey than to remove them from the home where a sex offender was residing. Please explain the logic. Now,as she is making plans to marry this pathetic excuse for a man,he comes to DCPP again asking them to uphold his court oder. Do their job. Protect his children. He has every court order. Every audio of his hearings. They tell him,Mr. Kid Toucher has rights and there is nothing that can be done. That they are not bound to uphold a court order. This is honestly the most corrupt and horrifying thing that i have ever come across in my life. DCPP needs to be dismantled. The corruption runs very deep. Ocean County Family Court System do you honestly have no power? No conscious? The judges were M. Einbinder ,P. Roe,and V. Grasso All of whom said no to him being around this children,but would not remove them,they trusted DCPP to do their job. DCPP claims court orders are just pieces of paper and do not have to be honored. These children need help!!!! This father should not have to worry like this . I have been a part of the foster system for the last three and a half years and honestly, they have made my life nothing but living hell. Abuse that takes place in homes they barely care about. I have realized that they will not go against their own. DYFS will not go against the house that they licensed so once you complain to them about things going wrong or abuse, it goes to deaf ears. It is like crying a silent cry to those who do not care to help you because at the end of the day whether you are placed in a home or not, they get the same check. DYFS has destroyed my life. Every different worker you get says something completely different and since they all dont contact each other, once the child brings up something that they were told by a previous worker, they are automatically diagnosed with a compulsive lying disorder. Except for insurance being provided, there is nothing good about them at all. They send you to these therapists because you wont open up to them but they think they are slick. You are not allowed to go to any therapist without having them receive a report of everything you say to the therapist. Mind as well, just talk to them in the first place. You cant send a child to a therapist that they are supposed to trust if there is no form of confidentiality. regardless of our age, we deserve privacy and respect. DYFS/DCP&P needs to come to an end immediately.REPORT COMMENTS

Me and my girlfriend came home one night and apparently were being too loud for our newly moved in neighbor who lived above us. After 20 minutes of him stomping on the floor we went upstairs to ask him to stop when he blurted out racial slurs through his door. He then called the police which came and accused me of domestic violence and proceeded to arrest me. At the time my child was asleep in her bed room with the door closed with my girlfriends 16 year old sister. The police officers were very loud and judging, I did not argue or fight with them I left peacefully. They woke up the children and took them down to the police station where they had the 16 year old fill out a report against her will. Dyfs was called by someone most likely the police. The charges against me were dismissed. Dyfs accused us being drunk and on drugs. We were not. No intoxication tests of any kind were taken. Nor were we asked to take one. Dyfs came by our house 3 different times trying to make my girlfriend sign papers against me. When she refused they began a process of trying to remove my child from the home. They wanted to make her go to an evaluation drug screening on a day that she worked and could not miss and advised the the woman heading our case of this fact. Based on what our lawyer explained to us, that dyfs will use their own counselor who almost always recommend people in these situations for further services, we went with an outside certified drug counselor. Needless to say the counselor she saw said that she was cleared of all accusations based on his findings. Simply because she is not an alcoholic neither is she a drug user. Drug and alcohol test were performed in that she also passed. Dyfs did not accept this. The reasoning was that the counselor didn't know what the police report said.? Mean while our child was removed from the home and put in the care of her parents who live 40 miles away. All because she went the very next day to her own counselor instead of theirs the day before. I believe this action was taken out of anger and not in the best interest of our child. Weeks passed with no information and recently I completed a drug screening with their counselor. At the end of the interview she said she would not recommend me for any further services. I also passed a drug and alcohol test. Today I received a call from that counselor. She stated that after talking to dyfs, specially Emily Hutchinson, case worker, that I will be recommended for a level 1 treatment. One day a week for twelve weeks for alcoholism. How could this be? Neither one of us have any history with alcoholism or drugs in any way. I have passed their screening and test. The counselor agreed at the time of the interview that I needed no further services. Somehow After talking to Emily Hutchinson of dyfs, she decided along with her that I needed services based on the police report which she says states that I was under the influence of alcohol. After 11 allegations made against me. By my bitter abusive ex husband were unfounded. I am yet again fighting dyfs who currently have care and supervision over my daughters. I suffer from RA Lupus and fibro and am on pain medications i truly need daily to make the pain i suffer bearable. Yet another allegation of drug abuse was made by my ex and here i am a month later seperated from my children giving random drug screens signing releases for all my doctors and bei g represented by a court appointed for lack of a better word idiot who expects me to be satisfied with one hour supervised weekly visits at dcp&p offices. I even stopped my pain meds n suffer in pain in the hopes that i can regain residential custody of my babies. Dcp&p is an evil organization that throws thier powers around like a bully in a playground they need to stop taking children away from thier loving parents based on hearsay.REPORT COMMENTS

Dyfs has taken my grandaughter from my daughter back in Jan 2015. They have gone to court ,my daughter has done everything dyfs has asked her to do and then some. Just so her and daughter can be back together. Paper work always comes up missing. And they bully my daughter every chance they get. We have since hired an outside lawyer. Waiting to go back to court again for the 4th time. And yes I forgot the last time we were suppose to go to court.they changed case workers 2 weeks before. And she has none of the paper work for the past 8 months. These people are destroying this family. My 3 year old granddaughter cries for her mommy so much. All she wants is to be with her mommy and her puppy. I have tried contacting the state of New Jersey and getting no where. All I want is our lives back . And these bully's gone. They need to be watching and taking kids from drug dealers and abusive people. Please if there is anyone who can give advise contact me via email .REPORT COMMENTS

I agree it's terrible...even on the adoptive side it's just as bad. I was in the system to adopt for 7 yrs, called and sent in profiles of kids needing homes, never a answer. I had to take numerous classes every yr, redesign my house and property to their liking to get inspected every yr....well come to find out I was never placed in the computer for a child match..all the time and money spent for them to approve me and the social worker never did her job correctly...so I wasted 6 yrs of my life for nothing...when I could of been match and gave a child a great home instead of bouncing from foster to foster home......so the system is screwed up on both endsREPORT COMMENTS

I was the victim of a violent crime in December of 2014. My daughter was just one month old. My friend was staying with me for the holidays and my daughter's father got very drunk and hit me over the head with a drinking glass. My friend was feeding my daughter at the moment. The dad ran out of the house and my friend called 911. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and my friend followed in our van with the baby. My daughter's dad was arrested and put in jail. I got my stitches and we all got to go home. When I got home I put my clothes in the washer, smoked a cigarette, and took a shower while my friend sat with the baby. After my shower I made a drink and my friend and I talked while the baby slept. I had another cigarette and my friend went to sleep. The next morning Dyfs is at my door. They want to know what happened. I tell them everything. They make me go wake up my friend, she tells them what happened. They ask me to go with them to do a drug test. I agreed. On the way there they are telling me that the police said I was drunk when this happened. I spoke to both officers there, they never said that to them. I made sure they knew I had a drink when I got home from the hospital. They asked me if I knew my friend had an open Dyfs case. I said yes I am aware of this. They ask if I know the details of her case. I said "it's really not my business, I know how she is with her kids, but she did allow me to read her paperwork." They asked what I thought about it. I said "again it's not my business and I know you guys like to twist things around." I blow a ZERO on their breathalyser and the instant test comes up fine. On the way back they are sopposed to take me to fill out a statement at the police station. Right as we get close they say, "we just got the order from our supervisor to take the baby." I said "for what?" They said "you put her in an unsafe environment." At this point I'm crying and I ask them "do you think she and I would have been there if I had known the dad was going to do something like this? I'm the one who got hurt here!" They don't care. They ask me to gather up some things for the baby and make me sign some papers and they drove off with my newborn daughter just two days before Christmas. It's now October and I have done EVERYTHING they ask me to do and they have been telling me do this and you will get her back. I do what they ask, still haven't had any positive urine screens and I still don't have my daughter back yet. She will be a year old in 3 weeks! What else do I have to do to get my daughter back?!??REPORT COMMENTS

My daughter lost custody of her son earlier this week, for drug issues. DYFS had been helping her fing detox and rehabs. Currently she is in rehab. I was told they would place him with me. I have been caring for him from day 1. Mom has had many health issues over this year, before bad after the drug use surfaced again. I was in strutted to let them place him with me instead of me applying for temporary custody. I agree do my daughter can get the maximum opportunity for help. The recourse unit of DFYS, comes out to start the certification process. (I was not informed of this process until after I signed on the dotted line. Now keep in mind I have had a relation ship with the DYFS case workers for several months. This recourse woman decides because his hair sticks up from cow licks, and he has a rash on his face from slobbering a lot with teeth coming in, that he is "dirty snd I'll kept". She wants him removed immediately. Luckily our first court date was the same day and the judge disagreed. I am trying to keep as much of this babies life as normal as possible while mom ( hopefully). Turns things around. I feel like the grasp at straws. While attempting to contact a supervisor, I was hung up on. VERY unprofessional. It isn't sell of them but there is a really bad element not acting for the welfare of the child.REPORT COMMENTS
