I agree with this article 100%. I know someone who was placed in dcf care after being taken from their father who has a long record and substance abuse problems. They are helping the father gain custody back of him while he lives in a rehab center and his mother who is a great mom has no record, does not do drugs or drink and they won't help her at all instead they are trying to put the child back with his father instead of keeping him with the people who are fostering him now that had him all stable and everything -

I completely agree with this article. My son was taken from my ex by DCF and now they are trying to put him back with him. My ex has a criminal record a mile long and has problems with substance abuse. I have no problems at all and yet they wont give him back to me. The whole situation is completely ridiculous. My son was injured in the care of DCF in a foster home and needed surgery when he was with my ex. He has never been in the hospital while in my care. The whole DCF situation makes me so angry. I get an hour a week with my son and my ex has overnight visits that last 2-3 days.REPORT COMMENTS

my daughter has been a victim of this unexplainable organization since she was the victim of an assault at 11 by a boy. until the people that just read about it or see the worst on the news for maybe a week, they will never understand the suffering being caused until they become victims themselves. unfortunately they are asking us to petition to our senators. ironic when behind their political smiles they are the ones to agree to change this states policicy. their milestone was an offer by the federal government to fund each state that made changes. rememember DSS? well now its DCF because they agreed. as sick as it may sound, like the profits from more prisoners. take a little look at how many children have been removed since "The Big Change" and more terrifying, the moneys that are being dished out to the states that made that very important name change by our government and smiling senators. We have had several kids die in massachusetts. To date DCF has "mispaced" 134 children in their system. More go missing every day. My children were ripped from home, no abuse or neglect, but because my FATHER who Dosnt live with us was ACCUSED years ago of abuse, completely unrelated to my children!!! To date no abuse has been founded and we've been told were good parents with no concerns just my father yet my kids are gone including my two week old infant! This is disgusting! My children are being abused by this state and it sickens me!!! They missed a month of school and for two children on IEps this is ridicules! There dirty and have knotted hair, one is force to sleep on a couch in a foster home! My children are missing out on there dance classes, soccer games, family holidays, friends, family events, birthdays, family bonding, each other! My children are crying them selfs to sleep and egging to come home! This is what you let happen. How is this better?! DCF Massachusetts is a JOKE to the rest of the county. Now DCF has more control then you! They walk all over our constitution and force innocent children into bad situations for there own egotistical power hungry agendas. As a mother of four Im sickened by the people you put in charge of our children. No one should ever been awarded and incentive to for fully adopt a child out! We should have incentives for reunifying and helping families and children! NOT distorting and ripping them apart! Good parents being hurt becasue we have a government that does NOT CARE. I have never been arrested or In any kind of trouble with the law, I'm a good parent involved with every aspect of my childrens lives, there clean healthy happy kids till these power hungry people came into our lives and traumatized my children all over a concern that "maybe one day something might happen we don't know"! Meanwhile I can pass a background check no problem! I've been a mother for ten years and you can ask my children yourself what they think! So in my eyes and in the eyes of over 2000 families you let children be hurt. Our government allows this to happen. You care more about what happens in other countries than our own. Get rid of DCF do a review of the cases. All of them no matter what it costs because Duvals answer is give them tablets..which is ludicrous. We need more workers an for them to actually be trained in the law and how to follow it an how to stop over loading the system with unjustified "abuse" cases! I have witnessed over and over again the blatant abuse by DCF workers in this state. There needs to be an enforced, monitored policy change or dismantlement of DCF. 1 the Good reason for removal of children from their home (i.e. physical sexual abuse, confirmed by marks, severe injuries , several reliable witnesses ( also all false reporters of abuse or false witnesses should be prosecuted for perjury, i say this because there are far too many false reports from those seeking revenge on a parent/s). DCF should not be getting cash bonuses for taking a child or adopting them out, bonuses should go for keeping the family together or reuniting a family. When a child needs to be removed it should if possible go to able family members. A child removed that gets visits with family, these family members should not b getting visits revoked when they report signs of abuse happening in a foster home, foster home should immediately be investigated and child should be removed from said foster home while investigation is happening. When there are mandated reporters involved in an accused abuser/neglecter parent caretaker home that report no concerns despite a false report that was filled there should be no investigation at all this is a complete waste of money and resources. the handbook stating that toys on the floor is a cause for need of investigation is ridicculous and a waste of resources. Investigations in homes should be for lack of hygienic environment, hoarding that can cause injury, child not being fed, or being left alone, drug abuse. This is something that parent/s should be given a chance to fix. At no point should a child be removed from a home if a parent that suffered physical abuse by spouse or mate if the parent immediately had the person removed from home and got a restraining order. Investigating to ensure the fact is fine. More children have died or been abused in the care of DCF then that of the home of their parents. NO CHILD SHOULD EVER BE DRUGGED BY DCF AFTER REMOVAL WITHOUT A PARENTS OK. DCF has been known to dope up the kids they steal. Any worker, judge, lawyer that purposely keeps child from a good loving home should be brought up on charges. As workers have been known to threaten or bribe judges and lawyers this should also be considered a serious crime that should be prosecuted. Extra case workers ar not needed these people need to be strictly monitored to ensure cases are not open for ridiculous reasons, any worker guilty of such should be reprimanded immediately (1st leave without pay, 2nd leave without pay and a fine, as well as department procedure courses in both incidents of which worker does not get paid for taking. 3rd offense should be fired). If you just put down giudelines that have repercussions, stop given bonuses for taking kids I guarantee this crap will stop if you make sure guidelines are strictly enforced. One last thing EVERY DCF WORKER SHOULD BE A PARENT AS WELL! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! It like it said that the bestREPORT COMMENTS

Mass Dcf has destroyed my family, and it began over a mistake by a worker, but it didn't matter. They made up a bunch of lies, and twisted things because they had to build a case because they had nothing but an allegation of neglect that was actually a drug test that was read wrong by a worker so it wasnt dirty like they initially said when they came in and ripped my daughter out of my arms, but the worker couldnt just admit she was wrong and give my kids back. They had to make up lies, and twist everything around, and use my history against me, even that's all it was, HISTORY. The supervisor filed a 51A on me herself when i didn't even have my children in my custody. They already took them. So why would a dcf supervisor file a 51A when i didnt even have my kids to neglect or abuse them? She did it just to build a case, so the judge would see another 51A filed on me, and that was just the beginning of their corruption. They just care about power and MONEY. They do not care about their job purpose, what they are supposed to do, which is PRESERVE AND STRENGTHEN FAMILIES.REPORT COMMENTS

My child was taken from my ex during a visit. I have custody of her....well I did. Until a state provided lawyer said it would be best that I not fight so as to not lose my other child. I was backed into a corner and now my once straight A student competitive swimmer, well on her way to great things is a ward of the state. She's doing drugs, in and out of jail, constantly on the run. They take child support for a child they've never had in their care. They tell me that even though she's a minor there is nothing they can do to bring her in and keep helping her change her mind about coming home every time we get her to a place where she's ready. The social worker tells lies, doesn't do her job, often can't even be reached. My child went from a very cushy lifestyle to living on the streets strung out. She's only 14 and they say she has all the control. She should have never been taken in the first place. We need reform!REPORT COMMENTS

I lost my children to hearsay evidence from a cousin of my children's mother she's a person with ptsd from her own abusive childhood. I even pointed out that the cousin said contradicting things on different days in court and I informed them of her federal housing system fraud, and the judge disregarded all logic and still sided with DCF. They were kidnapped from my family in October 2012. This is what you let happen to your constituants. DCF Massachusetts is a broken system compared to the rest of the country. Now DCF is run by the head of Mass. Dot..transportation. As a father of two I am sickened by the people you put in charge of our children. Good parents being hurt becasue we have a government that does NOT CARE. I did appeal to the Governor, the attorney General and the Commissioner and got a nice "sorry can't help you" letter from all. Meanwhile I can pass a background check and he can't. So in my eyes and in the eyes of over 2000 on facebook you let children be hurt. Our government allows this to happen. You care more about what happens in other countries than our own. Get rid of corrupt lying DCF workers anf do a review of their cases. All of them no matter what it costs because Duvals answer is give them smart phones..which is ludicrious.
