I am a now 17 year old girl, who has basically had my life turned upside down by DFC. I struggle with chronic illness and ended up missing a lot of school due to this. Even with a ton of documentation from doctors, therapists, etc. It wasn't enough for DCF to be called in by my school. Even with a thorough investigation by a DCF representative supporting my side of the story, that I had no harm, or any illegal problems, the state forced another investigator on my case even after it was closed because they didn't get the answer they wanted. This DCF "Officer" undermined us, promised benefits to help my situation and family deal with the problems. She did none of it. Instead I was brought to court for truancy after again having several doctors and more saying that I was sick, and I needed time away from school on days that I was in my condition. Instead they held an ultimatum and standard I said at the beginning I could not guarantee or complete due to my health. They set me up to fail and a month later took custody of me regardless that my 16th birthday at the time was coming up in less than a month, meaning that they legally would not be able to in their words "force me to go to school in my condition." They placed me in a group home type program where I then gained a new benefit they gave me, depression. I woke up everyday wishing I would die, because they punished me for being sick. I felt like I let my parents down. They were heartbroken. In this "program", I did not even have the human right to cross from one room to another in a house setting without permission. I slowly everyday lost more and more human rights. I was monitored with others by a full time staff as if we were criminals. Almost every week at some point in the middle of the night a broken warning alarm would go off of the wind hit the house just right. I have that alarm sound ringing in my head every night. I wake up in the middle of the night every night expecting it to go off. I have lost 10 lbs because I learned overtime to train myself to have small rations of unedible meals, or small snacks, and I cannot transition myself back. Basically I'm sugar coating the things I had seen there. I play that day in court back in my head constantly of them ripping me out of my loving home like I was a piece of property. Looking at me like I was just another problem criminal that was temporarily solved. It's been over a year and a half now since I got home, and everyday that place and everything I went through there places over and over in my head. Crying myself to sleep every night. Wishing I was strong enough to fight my physical illness so I could've avoided this. My contact has worsened ever since then and any "benefits or help" they promised has never been put into place. As a matter of fact even though they said they would help support my family and I afterwards they cut us off like a loose end and left us picking up the pieces of what they did. I think Congress has to stop DCF from destroying families and children. They help young moms find a place to stay but they are doing nothing to help us. My niece \ daughter is fighting for her son and she is doing all she can to do better in life finding a home and job to get her baby back they say she's doing nothing. I know she is doing everything cause I am helping her she lives with me. Our building got condemed and we are fighting to get Lowell housing fast we are being moved up on the list when places comes available. Please help me get a lawyer to get my grandchildren from DCF CUSTODY. My grandchildren ages 1, 2, 4 yrs old were put in my Kinship care for over 11 months. DCF reunified THE KIDS to the mother against Peditrician and therapist recommendation. Children came back with wounds on their bodies after visiting mothers home. The Social Workers ignored the pleas of the biological father and grandmother. Another child was born DCF REFUSED TO put the newborn in protective custody and give her to the grandmother (me) Mass. DCF SOCIAL WORKERS SAID " MOTHER HAD NOT HARM BABY YET". DCF POLICY IS WE WILL NOT TAKE THAT CHILD. THEY RETURNED THE 3 SIBLINGS DISMISSED THE CASE ON TUESDAY AND THE BABY WAS DEAD BY SATURDAY SAME WEEK.The horrifying thing is the 3 SIBLINGS witnessed the DEATH of their 5 month old sibling in the Mother's care. DCF told lies, false 51A's were filed against me when the courts gave the grandmother custody again.DCF ignored their own policies and rules. DCF SOCIAL workersTOOK MY 3 GRANDCHILDREN AND HIDE THEM when I was on a Missionary Trip and placed them in Respite care. DCF REFUSEd TO TELL ME WHERE THE children were and did not tell me they had taken them out of my care. I FOUND OUT THEY HAVE PLACED THEM IN FOSTER CARE WITH THE PEOPLE THAT HAD THREATEN MY FAMILY, USE PROFANITY IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN. THE SAME PEOPLE THE MOTHER DID NOT WANT HER CHILDREN TO GO TO. THE MOTHER HAS DIED ALSO. DCF REFUSES TO RETURN THE 3 CHILDREN TO THE BIOLOGICAL FATHER OR THE FOSTER KINSHIP GRANDMOTHER THAT CARE FOR THEM FOR OVER A YEAR. I have experienced Disrespect, defamation of my character, HARRASMENTS, INTIMADATIONS Racism, discrimination, with false allegations and accussation, supported 51A's, no interview by the Special DCF INVESTIGATION of my supporters or advocate that could prove the 51A's were false. My cousin was just a tourist passing through Massachusetts when he and the mother of his child and got into a verbal argument and the police were called. The only one arrested at the scene was the mother and the father was allowed to take his son and wait at the police station to bail her out. After a few hours of waiting a DCFS worker shows up surrounded by police officers and he's told that if he doesn't hand over his son he will be tazed-while he still holding his son. He's brought in a room and he's asked questions about his son's doctor and where they live and what he's doing there and he answers all of them and let's keep in mind that his son is happy and smiling does not have a single Mark or bruise on him he is not malnourished yet he's told that they are going to keep his son because there are too many unknowns. He is not giving any other information but they call his mother who was from Illinois and she flies out to attend the hearing are hearing that he was told he was not allowed to attend. And although his mother has no record she makes great money they have a wonderful home they still do not hand her grandson to her either and they could just continue to tell him that he's not getting him back. How can he possibly ever comply to anything that's expected from DCFS to get his son back if he doesn't live in the state! How are the going to be home checks or questioning the neighbors, etc. Are they going to come to Illinois? Massachusetts is not in compliance of their own laws as stated on their website. the kids were there. My oldest daughter called 911 and saved my life... What an amazingly strong and confidant girl.. From the hospital Dcf has taken my girls.i completely understand that was unacceptable. But is it really necessary to keep them from me and instead jump them from foster home to foster home? Despite my struggle with opiates they are loved and cared for everyday. If you only met these two wonderful people you would agree...I feel very strongly that what they are going through being ripped from everything they have ever known is so much more traumatizing than what has happened not to mention my oldest who called 911. I didn't even get to say goodbye or tell her she did the right thing. Now this little girl instead of being rewarded for saving my life and doing the right thing at the right time is left to feel reasonable for being pulled from her and her sisters entire family. Mind you anything to do with the state is slower than needed. These children should not be paying the price for my mistake and should not be bounced around through foster families. People who are paid to take them in. When they have very loving and supportive family that have up till this point don't an outstanding job despite any and all obstacles life has thrown that Dcf would most likely dream unsuitable or unacceptable for children. Children grow up and in my opinion have to learn from the parent good and bad situations and how to overcome them. If they are ripped away at hard times how will they ever learn how to overcome and cope with things that are to some people unable to comprehend. Not only are they hurting my kids they are hurting my family and myself... Last time I checked addiction was a disease.... People don't lose kids for having seizures... Which in my opinion look a lot worse than an overdose looks to anyone who has witnessed both. Not only are they being punished for my wrong doing they will fit an indefinite amount of time. Please help me to understand how anyone that has unstable housing could possibly be taken but Dcf can do the same thing and it's OK. Top me ayeast with family they feel at home where ever they go as long as they are together. with Dcf, if you don't have family in the state you live, the kids are bounced around with people they don't know at all. Wtf is wrong here. These people took my custody away and that's OK in our FREE America! I can't just go take kids cause I don't like what the parents do.... Why is it like this something is wrong. Long story short I have 3 children and they have all been taking away from me. No I have done my wrongs. Pretty much I was addicted to drugs and my two oldest kids git place with there grandparents. Now back in 2014 I give birth to my daughter and she was addicted but I got clean and went to 2 programs Emerson house in Falmouth and then to the Angel house in hyannis. And that when I got my daughter place back with me after having a year clean I ended up relapsing and they toke my daughter away now when I did use again my daughter was no where near me she was with her father and I could out with the truth the same day. Pretty much they place her with her brother and sister at the grandparents. I stay clean I ended up getting a place to live and I was working and they still told me I was UN fit mother to my children. They put my 1 year old daughter up for adaptation and did not give me or my,family a chance they told my family no cause they lived in Florida. And tell me how mess up that is. I have made my mistake but my God I push and push and they still told me no. And THU all of this I'm still clean and I'm looking for a lawyer to help me fight this. DCF took my children without a proper investigation and put them with their abusive father and girlfriend. They will not communicate by e-mail even though it is our right to communicate the way we choose. They won't do this because they know they took them without cause and now trying to cover it up. DCF is ruining my children's mental health and our family. They even had charges pressed and they had the officer that pressed they charges at the so called investigating interview without notifying us of our rights. They think they can do whatever they want without cause, but when they are notified with proof that a mother made her children cover up with a blanket in the back seat of the car with the windows closed so she can smoke crack ...... My story is long.....short story....a 5 year old girl knocked on my door in the middle of a school day. The school tried to say she was only missing for a minute or two....I told the police the truth this little girl was in front if me for a good 25 minutes. The school didn't call anyone. Second my daughters substitute throw away $100's of dollars worth of Shopkins in the trash, 3) my son was assaulted by his substitute teacher....the school repays my complaining by calling dcf on me and saying I picked me kids up on several occasions intoxicated...... My kids walk home from school by themselves and if I quote unquote showed up like this on several occasions why was I allowed to leave with my kids because it was all lies. The two-week investigator didn't do her job she never came to my home and she never spoke to my children's doctor they only went off what the school said because the school is trying to make me look incredible because they messed up. I appealed their decision to keep a case open for 45 days that was back in March the 45-day assessment is up I still haven't got my answer. They won't close my case unless I pay for a drug test. I have no problem taking one I don't do anything but they want me to pay for it because the state doesn't have funding. I'm still in my 45-day assessment. This is since March and now they're threatening me they won't close mycase until I give a drug test but again they want me to pay for it they won't. So now because I won't take hundreds of dollars away from my kids to satisfy some need to prove herself I'm at risk of losing my kids. In all honestly my kids are probably one of the most well taken care of children in the Boston area they don't want or need for anything they have everything they're awesome kids so they don't get in trouble. Are far from neglected or abused even their own doctor I said that this was ludicrous. 2 out of my 3 kids are not biologically mine the youngest calls me Mommy and doesn't even know his real mother the oldest could care less about his mother because he has me and I'm an awesome mommy sets. Not only that what's more crazy as my oldest stepson his biological mother has an older son whom is in DCF custody and I've been working with the Weymouth Braintree Area Office so for years now. In the past four years I worked my way from 4 hours every other weekend to getting overnight visits that I was just recently approved for and was given Roi forms to fill out to become this kids foster parent. Now on the other hand I have Boston DCF trying to take my kids. I actually had a pop-up visit from the child that's in DCF and his worker and like always nothing was found because there's nothing to find. I wish someone could explain to me how one DCF offices on one page and then another office is on another page. The system really is corrupt and someone has to do something about it. I lost my children in July 2013. By maggot SANDRA BOTELHO OUT OF FALL RIVER DCF. Anyone who passes by get NEW case worker. She lied on stand more than I could count. She made stories up saying I keyed her car, interpretated her. These accusations went to civil court. Guess who had proof it was not I, ME. I won that case. She lied in probate about the whole thing.. But JUDGE SPANOLIE took her side bc that is what maggots do, they cling, LIES....13 stamped by her office papers that SHE signed, she claims she has NEVER seen. Wow shocker! Plain stupid. I did every plan on case plan, signed every document to get my kids back. I WAS HONEST. SHE LIED, MANIPULATED, TWISTED STORIES. For her benefit. I LOST MY RIGHTS AS A MOTHER, TO THIS DAY. Funny how some DCF MAGGOT, walks up in your home and tears it away, not thinking about the affects it does to children.Ive done appeals, but nobody gave me credit for all I did to get my children back. They're governing themselves in secret with total legal impunity. Nobody is performing inspections on their cases for lies and fabrications and it needs to stop. I totally agree 100% I went through a similar thing with dcf and I'm still under there eye after a year of going above and beyond. This system is so backwards it's not even funny anymore. There messing with the parent(s) who are doing everything and then some and leaving the parent(s) who haven't done a damn thing on there service plan and they still have there child(ren).
