I want the right to choose my own medical treatment and to not suffer. Just has you want the right to choose to drink alcohol.

I understand your concerns and the abuses are rampant but it is not a legislative issue. Mental Health Treatment and Law Enforcement can handle this given adequate resources. Give them the hand they need and you won't make it difficult for me to survive.

I am not a drug addict. I have chronic pain and opioids help me to function. Since the CDC guidelines came out, for no other reason, my pain meds were cut in half causing my quality of life to be cut in half.

I am not a drug addict, I am a patient who suffers hourly with chronic pain. The way I manage to have a reasonably decent life: pain medication. Do not get between my physician and me--you have no idea how hard it is to just make it to the grocery store WITH pain meds, it simply could not be done without them--I would be an invalid. I am not a drug addict--I am a patient!!!

Watch this film and see what it's like to have CRPS and then tell me if it's fair to take away our meds due to opiodphobia!! It's not!!! You are torturing human beings and we have rights!! Pain worse than natural childbirth and non terminal cancer!! Watch the documentary by nephew of legend Bob Marley. https://vimeo.com/ondemand/trialbyfiremovie

I am a chronic pain patient, a mother of 3 small children. I was hit by a car months ago and can not function without my medication . I also have a PhD, I was a professor, and spent years researching addiction and trying to understand the neuropsychiatric chemical interaction pertinent to both addiction and the obesity epidemic. I have worked my whole life to help others and advance our understanding of the brain. I deserve the right to be a functional mother and the right to someday go back to work and be a productive member of society again. Please do not steal that from me. Please let me be the wife and mother my family deserves. Please don't throw my life, and the life of my family, away. Help us. Do not allow for me to be crippled from the pain. I do not want to be disabled I just want to live in peace and be given the right to work with my doctors to choose the treatments best for me. I have the right to my own body. Do not ignore the 14th ammendment. Please help.

It is appalling that this is allowed to happen to chronic pain PATIENTS. Do not put us in same category as addicts and leave us OUT OF YOUR war on drugs that doesn't work. Our lives are bad enough as it was having pain 24 7 now because of your crusade your making us all suffer even worse I have been forced to stop working as my dr won't treat my pain due to this b.s. happening and pharmacies refusing to fill rx. I am going to be homeless soon. Stop this madness!

I suffer from Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed in 2009 Right before my 43 birthday. I was put on Enbrel for the first 5 years after I was diagnosed and then the medicine stopped working. In 2014 I had to quick working and have been on about every other medication on the market to try and get me to a place that is livable to no avail. I am currently taking Gabapentin and Tramadol to help me cope with the pain. I went from being a young and vibrbrant 43 year old woman going into the prime of her years to barley being able to take care of myself. If it were not for the mess. To help me just take the edge off the pain I guarantee I would not be here today. I could not see putting my husband and children through the 2nd half of what i would call of just being alive. I have what I would call are some good days but these days would be nothing comparable to what you have. If it were not having these pills I would have not been able to deal with my life. It is very unfortunate that people like me are being lumped in with people that have chosen to purposely destroy their lives. It angers me that I have to justify my use of these drugs that anyone could openly see I need. Personally I HATE having to take them! I wish someone could come up with a way to take away this pain everyday. I pray! I pray to God to help me get through this. He is my one saving grace right now. O beg of you to think of the people that have no other choice but to have these drugs. We are sick in BODY not in mind like an addict. Thank you.

Being tortured because of opiodphobia is not fair. Before taking our meds away spend some money finding a cure!!! We have been suffering since the civil war with causalgia aka CRPS complex regional pain syndrome. No money to find a cure and very few to no FDA approved treatments specifically for CRPS! We need to spend some money to find a cure and before you do our pain is WORSE than Non terminal CANCER stop taking our meds!!!!

Our government has no right to dictate our personal and private medical treatment. Hands off.

All people aren't drug dealers or drug abusers, ever since the government and the CDC has put there noses were it doesn't belong, I have been patient profiled, accused of being a drug dealer because I have tattoos! Then you people say that the law has not changed the way we the people in chronic pain get treatment, ya right. You people have scared the doctor's then in return the patients can't get proper pain relief. Go stop the cartels, human trafficking, murder, racism, but stay out of our treatment plans. Stop infringing on my constitutional God given right..
