Laws and judges continue awarding child support to mothers using antiquated state laws which are over 50 years old, such as in Nevada. We need change now. Custodial parents (mainly mothers) continue to be awarded high child support payments which is not used for the children. Laws need to be changed in every state to be current with equality demands. The antiquated laws were established when women were home makers. Times have changed and fathers continue to be brutalized by the courts. Fathers need more rights and fair treatment by courts so they can have equal chance to spend QUALITY time with their children. Oh, and Improve fatherhood.gov website to actually reach the concerns of fathers, mainly their ability to have an equitable opportunity (money) to spend time with their children. How about a website that advocates for fathers rights instead of policies that only project an image.

I pay child support for kids that I have or kid that the mother does not have.My money goes for the mother to spend on her self. She is not returning the money to the kids that I have. Its not fair to us fathers who really take care of the children and get no help from the mother.Mothers need to be held accountable or go to jail.

After less than a year paying child support my ex wife ask me to pay her directly and dropped the case I paid her 12 years sometimes check sometimes cash because our bank account was overdrawn a lot sometimes I would pay her bills instead of child support I also paid for most of my kids clothing sports doctors basic expenses and she never tried to raise child support because I always gave her more than what was ordered because I became much more successful after divorcing her when I got remarried she had the child support case reopened and told told them I didn't pay all my child support we have gone to court several times now and all she says if I don't remember him paying me child support so she doesn't get charged with perjury every time I prove the payment I've proven over half so far when I went in today there was a woman that said the same thing I don't remember him paying me child support I don't remember him paying child support is all a woman has to say it's obvious that DHS lawyers are coaching them to say that there should be a investigation on how many women do this this would bring down miny i case workers and DHS lawyers. I have a lot of evidence that proves her to be a liar and I will win this case and when I do I would love to help bring DHS to its knees

p>After children turn 5 they are in school and those women who collect child support sit at home doing nothing when they could be working part time to help support there children. It use to be the male as the main source of income, not anymore, we live in tough economic times, where it takes two in the household to support children. Why should those women stay at home when they could be working. The law should be added to so that those women don't have several babies and then wait for the child support to come in. They should at least be given some finacial responsibility as well as the father. After there youngest turns 5 they should should be required to work part-time to collect there child support. Nobody should have a free ride. I have great male family members and friends going through a lot of pain and suffering because of child support. It is not fair that a supportive father (financially, and emotionally) has to give up more than half his monthly earnings to the mother of his child, when she smokes drugs, had the house raided, and is in welfare. It is getting worse for fathers since they have to cover childcare expenses and insurance. Not to mention a lot of these men have children with their current partner. Something has to change.

Child Support - $1325 per month Half of Day Care Expenses - $420 per month. I'm divorced because she was a habitual cheater. I get the kids 45% of the time, and still pay $1740 per month. But hey, she's taking trips while I worry how to fill my gas tank to get to work to I can continue to pay a habitual cheater $1325 in child support (no, alimony is not included, she didn't get alimony). Tennessee's formula is not based on what it costs to raise a child 55% of the time. It's based on "how much can he pay? then make him pay it... don't matter what it ACTUALLY costs..."

How can a non-custodial parent find a job with suspended licenses? How can he/she maintain a job if they do not make enough to fill the order and their licenses are suspended or they are jailed? Why attach arrears if they are unemployed and seeking modifications that take longer than 2 months to complete?

I'm a father who has been forced to work 2 jobs, have fought just to see my children, have ended up homeless due to garnishment, have seen women get everything from cash, food stamps, and their current spouses income, while having a family member help take care of their children to save the money for daycare for their own personal pocket. Constantly using kids as bargaining chips to make the father pay money if he wants to see his children. Forced to go to court with barely any money because child support takes most of the survival money. I was working 80 hours and getting $320 after 2 weeks, living in a place where the minimum rent is $800 a month, i dont think its right that we have to 160 hours a month just yo survive. If the fathers pay child support, they should at least be the one ones to claim the children at the end of the year because the government has more more than enough garnishment proof that money is going straight to child support for the child.

I have been in the divorce process nearly 4 years. The courts have an obvious bias towards the fathers and still favor the mothers even if the kids want to be with the father, the legal guardian states the children should be with the father, the forensic therapist states the children favor the father more then the mother, etc. I was forced by the court to settle my child custody case since I am a "MAN and should be happy with 50% custody." With these being said, I make 4 x the salary of my ex-wife (we both have the same level of education and she never spent any time at home after giving birth). Now because I have custody 50% of the time she is considered the custodial parent and need to pay full child support and of course she does not need to account for any of the monies spent. Additionally, I need to cover health insurance, dental, vision, etc as well as other payments at the rate of 75% for after school activities and her babysitting costs. At this point, even though I make 4 x my ex-wife's salary, she ends up clearing more and now I have barely enough to live on my own and support my children's needs when they are with me 50% of the time. It is time we pass a reform for not only men that have been fairly treated by our court system but for the children also seeing there fathers struggle while the moms enjoy spending the money on themselves since there is no accounting required. Should 50% of the time equal to 50% child support? Additionally, why does anyone need to pay alimony since woman are fight for equal rights for pay, title, etc. Respectfully,

I recently finished making my payments for my daughter whom turned 18 and is not about to be 19. I have no contact with her nor her dad, but I found out that she flunked twice so Child support put her back on. They notified my employer again, which is unnecessary and very unprofessional. I have always been on time with my Child support payments and still will be, but I think its unfair to take my child off, notify my employer about this and then soon place her back on due to lack of school improvement, then notify my employer again.
