I am mother of 3 wonderful child (2 boys & 1 girl) ages 20, 16, & 14. I left my exhusband after 11 long years of mental, physical & emotional abuse and I took our children with me. During the divorce proceedings with our attorneys it was in agreement that I would get full custody of our oldest son and we would have joint custody of the other 2 children. What I nor did either one of our attorneys know that my exhusband went applied for State benefits which included food stamps, State Medicaid for the children stating they did not have medical insurance which I have carried on 3 of children from the day they were born and he received cash benefits as well because he lied to DHS stating he had full custody of the children and he did not know where to locate me. After the divorce was final I received a summons to child support court because he applied and received cash benefits. Therefore the court says I owe the State money for the benefits my exhusband received which was close to $9,000 plus pay current child support on the 2 children we have joint custody of which is $800 per month for him to live. The children do not see any of this money because he spends it on his drug habit. The child support court system is corrupt and needs to be changed.

Cubans and other south americans come to Fl. Particularly Miami, supposedly to avoid repression in their own country. However the lawlessness and entitle meant abuse is so excessive that Miami is now a third world country with nothing to contribute except what they supposedly were trying to escape. Miami officials are so corrupt that it will never normalize. But the entitlements continue unabated. This has to stop. The only thing they know how to do is procreated and avoid work and or taxes. They know every trick in the book to get welfare and other entitlements. Now they want everyone to learn Spanish but they won't even bother to learn English. I can't even imagine how they get their driver liscences, as they have no concept of the rules of the road. If they refuse to learn english, and the driving tests... for those who bother with that must be rigged. Signaling, speed limits, 4 way stops, testing while driving, drunk driving and on and on. Mean while the also VERY Corrupt police sit there and do nothing because of course they are on the take also. Why not just close the boarder and let them live in their own squalor?

I'm a single parent father raising my daughter since 2 years old she's now 14 I'm owed an outrageous amount of child support for my daughter we don't receive anything from the NC parent. Here's the problam I pay high child support for my son and dont receive any money for my daughter it's so unfair I basically take the food and clothes for my daughter to support my son. Child support(court state law) takes my money without any consideration that I'm owed so much back child support and don't receive any money from the deadbeat noncustodial parent. I work hard pay my child support on time have nothing to show for my hard work while I have to break my daughters heart cause I cannot afford money for school extra curricular activity (sports) , clothes, phone, shoes etc.

Child support cares less even when the so called custodial mom remove the children out of the country without the biological father's consent and approval. They continue to seek support regardless of lack of any information as per the welfare and care for the children in question. Why does a father who has no income due to the recent economic crisis be forced to pay the woman who makes more than him and has the use of the family home? This laws favor women who uses the system to their advantage but cares less about the children welfare.

Child support needs to be addressed. The non-custodial parent is made to pay 20% of gross income in Illinois and the custodial parent isn't required to do anything. This places a huge burden on the NC parent while not realizing that the Custodial parent should also be "required" to pay for their child. This could, and should be changed to reflect the amount needed to raise a child, and split in half. Both the custodial and the non-custodial have somewhat fixed expenses for their own lives. As a NC parent, I still need to pay for my child to have a room just as he does at the custodial parents residence. That is only fair and in the best interest of the child. Also, their needs to be more co-parenting laws that require BOTH parents to be regarded as decision makers. One parent should not be able to make all of the decisions for a child with two parents. If mediation is required, then charge both parents for it. This will make each parent more accountable for the child's development and growth.

Now to address something that has been used terribly wrong by MAN. Child Support. Many women and men agree that the system is totally messed up! The current system makes it an 18+ year punishment rather than being fair for all parties involved. The government REALLY only cares about if THEY are going to have to support that child. So if both parents can come to terms and agree on what's best for the child and keep the Government out of their business, it would be best. If the biological parent is not allowed to see his/her child, they shouldn't be forced to pay Child Support. If the state forces them to pay, they should force the legal guardian to split time between the two parents. Whomever the child lives with should be entitled to full benefits of the child in reference to income tax. If the outside parent is paying CS, they should receive a tax break as it pertains to that child by SSN. The support is to benefit the child, not the guardian of the child. If said funds are being used to pay for necessities of the legal guardian, the child should be removed and placed with the payer of support after it is determine that they are fit to parent a child. After all, they are their Father/Mother, their flesh and blood. If the child has been removed from original guardianship and placed with the other parent, all support to the original parent with immediately STOP. (If the payer could manage his/her own home including bills while paying support to a child not living under the same roof, it would be best if all funds were to remain under one roof, the home where the child now resides.) Termination of Parental Rights will be granted on a case by case basis. Should a payer of CS file for TPR, all support to the child will immediately STOP once a court date has been set for council. All factors will be considered during this process. What could happen is instead of Parental Rights being terminated, the payer could leave court with full custody of the child. If your case doesn't warrant TPR, you will resume payment to include the time frame support was stopped due to case hearing. Child Support should be a PROGRAM to encourage the adults that made the child, to actively support the child. It should be a program where payers are enrolled into a 6-12 month program to determine if they can provide for the child. After 6 months a review will be done to assess the progress of the support for the child. If it is determined that the payer is actively supporting the child, he/she will be removed from the program. If not the program will continue. If the payer is removed from the program and later petitioned to be placed back on the program, after a council session a determination will be made on the length of time spent on the program. If the any misappropriation of funds are found, based on the actual needs of the child, the cost of living in the child's area, age of child, medical coverage, actual and factual necessities of that child, the le

Though I'm partially in agreement child support laws need to changed we disagree on what they need to be changed to... There should be no child support at all it cost more to collect it then the country is actually producing. It's like putting $10 in a bank to get a quarter. It's actually insane. Furthermore children brought up in single parent households are born more disadvantaged then those not. What we as a people are doing is telling woman there's money in having babies. Indirectly telling them you don't have to do anything with your life because you were born a woman and genetically can reproduce dollars in the form of flesh and blood. The courts says that male boys are grown enough to pay grown woman child support. They say they must have understood the replication of their actions at 13 but with the same voice tell men these same boys are defenseless and need their support. The only thing worst the boy is a man I guess. Men need the LPS document where if they decide to be in the kids lives money can then be worked out mutually between parents. This I believe will also stop woman from wanting a child with a man that doesn't want it... Slowly fixing everything; lessening violence and poverty among other things. I'm not saying men should be treated better I'm saying treat them equal. If a woman doesn't want a baby she can legal murder it within a time period. I'm not proposing a man murder children I'm saying give him a second chance to control his future post sex like woman have.

Why is child support not considered as earned income? These mothers collecting the child support are getting this tax free money while the men pay taxes on it and get no break. Not only that the mother gets to claim the kid on there taxes and gets more money. How is that fair? Child support laws need to change some of these women get pregnant in purpose and the men are the ones left to pay for there greedy actions.

Support laws MUST be changed. It doesn't better the child to have one parent completely strapped and unable to provide for his or her own self.

When the lack of responsibility on the woman's part drives the outrageous child support amount, one is left wondering what kind of message the court is sending the children. I pay so much in child support that I am not left with enough money to support myself. I certainly have no money to take care of my children when they are in my custody... I am working more than I ever have just to try to be able to survive, the stress is unbearable!!!! And to be granted no assistance from the state because I "earn too much", is unbelievable. I have no hope, I am working my life away, without even being able to afford an apartment. Why are there no regulations that require the support recipient to be accountable for the utilization of the support funds? I thought this was supposed to be all about what is best for the children, not what is best for the least responsible party! Why did she cheat on me and then decide that she didn't want be married any more, but I am left having to pay?!! I have lost all respect that I have for our court systems.... They don't even have the capacity to act logically, and certainly not responsibly. This burden is unbearable.

The current child support Laws cause more stress for all parties involved. For example where is the common sense in suspension of a parents driver license to enforce payments? This action only compounds anothers abilities to pay if they cannot get work or getting fines added due to a license suspension.

My fiancƩ's ex lied on the child support paperwork. He was unemployed at the time and she put he made $25 an hour. Now mind you none of the supposed $25 an hour was told to welfare, which they were collecting or the IRS. He's fighing it, but it is a pain in the butt in California.

Over time is not always guranteed! So why is the Attorney General even considering your over time as income? I pay child support on 40 hours plus seasonal (3 months out of the year) over time income, because my court for modification happened that time of year. How can I live the rest of the year with hardly any income because I don't get over time anymore??? Child support should be based on 40 hours a week only, because it is guaranteed income at the majority of jobs. NOT OVER TIME! Plus, why doesn't cistodial parent races on income she recieves, such as child support? I am NOT a deadbeat dad,my ex cheated on me and kicked me out christmas eve to move in another man, i put child support on myself to be able to see my child, but then my ex wouldnt allow me to see her. And because the attorney general doesnt fight for violation of a court order, that means I have to get a lawyer to fight that. But can't get a lawyer as costly as it is if I cant even support my current wife and kids with the extremely high child support, and medical insurance inaurance i provide for my child thru the attorney general. Plus having to supply Obama care for my family which i pay $1200 monthly for that... how am I supposed to live??
