I definitely think the child support law is unconstitutional. I am a mother of four boys. I get up everyday wether I want to or not, and go to work. During holiday season I work two jobs just to make sure my kids have. Yes they have dead beats for fathers. Am I receiving child support? Yes! My oldest son father pays me $50 a week. My youngest three father can't be found according to the court, but yet he has been seen here in town. My fiancé who helps me raise my boys and his daughter with his ex-wife isn't so fortunate as my ex is. My fiancé who is always trying to get his daughter and provide for her is always being badgered by his ex. She is always calling him about money. He pays her $600 monthly court ordered. He has to provide medical and dental which he always have, and what his medical and dental doesn't cover he has to pay 75% of it to her 25%. I know from being on both sides of the fence that the child support law is unconstitutional. There are great fathers out there who are being targeted because they love their children and all they want is to be apart of their lives. Also it baffles me as to why a lot of women think that they are owed the world after a divorce. In most cases they're award custodial parent by default. The husband who during marriage are just as capable of raising their children with their wives all of the sudden aren't fit after the divorce. Thus giving the wife custodial grounds, thus child support amongst everything else she was awarded. Come on! Understand mothers need help and support of fathers. Where did it all of the sudden turn into a financial amount. The children NEED their fathers as well as their mothers. What this unfair, unconstitutinal act of trying help does not help the child. We need something that is equal for both parents to be apart of the children's lives. Not the biases guidelines that destroy father/child relationships. So for the mothers out there who tries to keep there children from being with there fathers out of spite, shame. I would never deprive my children of their lawful right.

I am a single dad like many men. We pay our child support and because of it we struggle financially. Why can't we find a way to subsidize like many other programs? Back in the early 80's a program was set up to make sure CS is paid. I think it is time for divorce to be revamped. You know it's true. I am sure you have friends that are divorced. Both men and women can't wake up one morning and decide to get divorced. I is too easy and you know it. I am seriously going to fight for justice. Thank you

My husband's ex-wife gets 650 a month, won't work, is an alcoholic, has 50/50 shared custody, and can only manage to take care of a 10 year old 18% of the time-and has to have CPS babysit her to do that. Six years of drainging a college education through a bud light bottle. WV CPS a joke. Having trouble getting the court to hear modification in WV. When will the laws represent the children?

Well I've been paying child support for year's and I/have arrears now.my children are grown, this year my 19 year old daughter took her life in July it's been an emotional struggle with the loss of my dear daughter. During the past couple month's, I fell behind trying to keep up with the payment's and my credit has been ruined and I have lost my job's I had to make those payment's and now there threating to take my drivers license away something I require to find work, and when I find work something I need to continue to get to work. I have 30000 dollar's in arrears to pay off to become a free man, free from the tyranny of this system. The mother of my children doesn't work she's a heroin addict and my son who is 20 doesn't live with her yet I have to find a way to support her addiction in order to keep my license and repair my credit history, and this system is still charging me interest, even after there aware that my children are grown. I have not brought the situation to there attention that my daughter has passed away, but it doesn't seem to me it would make any difference. I don't mind paying the money, but I want the money to go directly to my son.even though he is an adult now. He deserves it not a heroin addict. And it should be like paying off a car you make a payment you take it off the principal and don't charge me interest on it every month. How in the hell do people ever plan to pay it off if you just keep them in a constant state of debt and then if you don't pay it off to debters prison. Hopefully there will be a revolution and a collapse of this tyrannical regime.

Why is it legal for the custodial parent not to have work or no evidence of trying to get work, and not face jail time or have there drivers license suspended. How is legal for child support to post on credit reports if all required payments have been made on time. My child support has gone from $567.00 a month to an even $600.00 for one child. The child support law in TN. require me to pay this amount and at the same time provide health and dental. I also have to pay 75% of what the premium does not cover to the mother 25%. My child's mother refuse to seek employment. She has the potential of making more than I do, but the state request nothing from her.

I've been fighting poverty since day one of my child support order. Oregon State C.S. laws totally unfair. Lost job, filed for modification since making much less now. Took 8 months for modification to go through. Meanwhile my child support order of over $800.00 a month just keeps adding up putting me further and further behind as the state is taking 65% of my earnings for past due. What the hell? Cant even survive without help from others. Humiliating! And this is just a minor example of the many times these laws have left me destitute over the years. Leaving me my so far in debt that recovery seems impossible. And I've done nothing but love my kids and see them as much as possible, work hard. always. not fair.

I have an ex-wife that after being arrested for domestic violence (after altercation with new boyfriend) and got fired from her job just got a big increase in child support. How is it that me and my new family get punished for her stupidity. Now we are left trying to figure out now how we are going to pay our bills while she sits at home. If she couldn't take care of them financially then why couldn't the kids just come with their father. I think the laws definitely need to be revised. I believe in taking care of your kids, but I feel the laws go a little to far.

I still have my kids more than half the time. My ex bought a bigger house and goes on vaca. She hasn't seen the kids in weeks. Where is the accountability on her end? Why do I pay her $1300 a month? I still struggle for food and my bills in a******apartment. This is vindictive and a crime. My kids love me but see me poor. Awful, embarrassing and depressing....no wonder the suicide rate for divorced dads is so high.

I have been paying 400 dollars a week for over eight years now on a modest salary. (Railroad) We never have a set pay check. They vary from pay to pay. I cant count the times that my ex wife took home more from my paycheck than I did. Tell me that is fair?

For some women it's a business and the courts help put them on payroll instead of getting real jobs. What about the parents that hve to pay when the law in NY was up until 18 NOT 21 as it's been changed to a few years ago. Many forgot about that. A law is suppose to be a law. This child support system needs to be brought up to the 21 century as it is dated!!!

I so agree with this. These mothers get to sit there collecting child support, food stamps and other. While the fathers work. These mothers should be forced to work at least part time to show they are willing to support there child. Or if the mother refuses still then give the child to the father who will take care of the child. its sad when a father has to support the child at the mothers house plus at his house.

Dismantle the CSE Agency and all Child support Laws. Rather do JOINT PARENT SUPPORT... and mean JOINT.. where both parties contribute and everything is accounted for. All the time!!

This is a messed up law. My fiances ex wife is remarried. She has his son which is 6years old a 1 1/2 year old by someone else and now YEP you guest it a 3rd child coming into this world with her now 2nd husband. She doesnt work and has no intensions to. Now we have custody of his son as she is leaving him to move out of state and have a support hearing in a few weeks. Atty already told us that since she has a 1 year old and now going to have a 3rd kid that the courts may not make her get off her*****and get a job cause she has little ones to care for which is BS and that we may not be able to get much from her for his sons before and after school care. THIS LAW IS WRONG AND TWISTED. IF YOU HAVE A CHILD YOU SHOULD PAY TO SUPPORT THAT CHILD!!!!!!! Expecally if you can afford a brand new 2013 vehicle and fancy top of the line IPADS, Video games, a house, $600 Camra ect. No matter woman or man you should pay PERIOD!!!! Also with her husband being in the military they can get the 2 children daycare at a very low cost so she CAN WORK she just chooses not to.
