My husband is ordered to pay $1622 a month on a child he hasn't seen in almost 7 years because his ex-wife lied to the court and said he beat her. He has filed multiple modification requests over the years that have been denied for various reasons. Add on to that the fact that TX charges 6% interest. Now his balance is 6 figures. Even with my income, we barely make ends meet. And if he does try to make more money so he can try to get ahead, he'll just be taken back to court to get his monthly amount raised. How is he supposed to pay his debt off with all of this going on? Personally, I believe that 3 things need to happen: 1) Either stop interest rates or change how they are applied. Instead of compounding interest rates, take the balance at the start of the year and calculate the interest and apply it evenly through the year. 2) Instead of basing child support on the NCPs income, the child's COL should be calculated, then half of that applied as child support. Please note the things included for COL should be rent, food & utilities...NOT private school tuition or violin lessons. 3) NCPs with proven disbilities should not be subject to the same enforcement actions. For example...my husband is a 3 time combat veteran. He suffers from PTSD and multiple TBIs. This limits his earning potential due to side effects, VA appointments etc. -

I believe that fathers should not have to pay child support if they and the mothers are not together anymore. It is bad enough that 95% of fathers are dumped by their exes and them having to pay child support to their ex that is screwing some other guy who is acting like a dad to their child is just completely too much of an emotional burden. What disgusts me even more is the amount of child support fathers have to pay these days is so expensive, that they can not afford their bills and end up homeless. Then the law shits on them even more and throws them in jail, while he has nightmares of his ex screwing another. Meanwhile, everyone is calling the fathers a dead beat dad too. Then, the law puts them through quacky programs that treat them like they are retards, while forcing them to find a job, in which they don't, because the economy is crap. The money from these fathers most of the time never goes to the child and instead on drugs, new outfits, nail jobs, etc for the mother also. The law needs to be changed. At the very least, if a father is not entitled to visitation, then no child support should be paid. Furthermore, it should not have to be paid period if the mother leaves the father in my pinion. Free fathers from this ignorance, so they can afford to support themselves! It is not their fault the mothers are disrespectful sluts or that the law charges them so much in child support that they can not support themselves! Lastly, if a man has no job, he should not have to pay! How is a father suppose to pay with no job? It is almost as if the law forces men into jail to be their jail slaves, because they charge these poor fathers so much money that they all end up homeless and then in jail!REPORT COMMENTS

I can say what all is wrong an it will only give reason.but what I'm about to say will only make change. Its time to be fair an allow family's to grow an do what is right 50/50 across the board. Not one child was made alone nor should a child be reduced to a percentage or custodial.Parent's with or without one another have a duty an responability an that is the well being an future of the child. Its time too look at this as what's right an not business this is life.REPORT COMMENTS

Insufficient funds order actos In particular, unemployment has been way above the Fedâ??s unofficial target (5.5%) since the beginning of the Great Recession in the winter of 2007/2008.  One might expect that given this the Fed would be willing to risk extra stimulus even if inflation was a bit above its quasi-official target of 2%. On the contrary the Fed has typically waited until inflation forecasts fell below 2% before increasing the amount of stimulus.REPORT COMMENTS

We are at the end of our rope here. After not being able to see his kids for 3 years, my husbands ex wants to take him to court for more money in child support only because we were expecting our second child together! keep in mind she first put him on child support while they were still in a relationship so she could get government assistance! Now we cant afford our rent, car payment or even groceries at that!! Our son is days away from being born and im still working because i know without my checks we wont be able to keep our apartment. Im so stressed and worried constantly about having to be out of work for a month to recover. Why can't anyone step up and do something about this unfair situation?? Why do my children and myself have to suffer without basic everyday needs so my husbands ex can get all the help she wants?REPORT COMMENTS

I pay a monthly support payment of $800 a month plus I pay medical and dental coverage in Portland Oregon for my one child. The amount was determined while I was working a ton of overtime in the oilfields of North Dakota. The oil boom has been through for a year now and the over time ihas been cut in half. I have been stuck working this job in that God forsaken country because I can't afford to work anywhere else that pays as much in the country. I am 45 years old and had already been in the oil industry for three years prior to my seperation. A year after my child support had been established I wanted to change my Career as it was taking a toll on my body. I jumped through all the appropriate hoops and requested a review for a modification of child support. I had enrolled in a trade school and was no longer employed in North Dakota. Oregon state refused to even look at my request stating that Ithe had not been long enough for grounds of a modification. Since the support amount was not going to change, I was forced to return to the oilfields to sustain my support obligations. One year later I had my appendix rupture while working and after having an emergency appendectomy, I learned that I also had a developed a double hurnia. I have had one of the two surgeries preformed for the hurnia's. I have been out of work for three months. I have exhausted almost all of my 401K. 3 years is up in January and am going to request a review for modification to possibly be a reasonable amount. I don't think it was far that Oregon can base an earning amount off wages accrued from overtime. There is no guarantees in basing my income off the possibility of overtime. Why didn't the state of Oregon even consider a review for my request after a years worth of time and adhiired support payments had been made. My ex also claims my daughter as a dependent every year and she was able to have my original child support judgment thrown out because she didn't understand that she was supposed to show up to court to defend herself. That cost $10,000 for nothing. The judge said that everyone deserves there day in court and tossed the judgement and we started over. 10 K poorer. The lawyers sure get there share from this crap. I could have put the 20K toward my kids education but I had to use it to get the crappie deal I ended up with in the end. Then I pay 40K in taxes with no dependents while corporate America gets off paying squat because of the tax loop holes that favor the 1%. Well those days are gone anyway. I have no cash and no job. I have to do this modification process with no lawyer because I can't afford to pay for one. If the State doesn't adjust my support amount, well then I guess there is always Belize. It's non extraordinary.REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Mr. Trump, You don't know me but, I'm an American citizen and I have an idea that could possibly help you win your election. This idea would also help our country by taking a lot of burden off of our middle class. Which in return would help pull this country back to the right track. The idea involves child support, as a working loving father and I'm sure millions of other fathers and potentially millions of voters I feel a significant change in child support and visitation nation wide would 100% better our country. I will use my case as an example. On a good month I bring home 3000.00 a month bad month I bring home 2000.00. I've been ordered to pay 395 a month in child support on top of the 425 a month I pay already. Both of the mothers refuse to work and chose to go to school instead. But I still only get my children every other weekend. I work hard for the money while they go to school to better themselves collect government benifits. Now I'd love to be able to start my own company and work my way out of lower middle class. These child support laws limit progression. The more wealthy the people more wealthy the country. I'm not say to get rid of child support completely but a change to put men on equal footing as women when it come to children and making the women work and not recieve government benifits such as food stamps. Women fought for there equal rights but somehow the governments have put them above us parenting wise.. I believe a simple base 50/50 custody agreement that's time and cost would pull a lot of men back into a working status and out of poverty.I have more on this matter as well. I've wanted you to become president for a long time. Your a true American leader. I've never voted but for you I would. Thank you for reading my email sorry if my spelling an punctuation is off. Sending some to prison for not paying child support.. wtf.. how they going to pay when in prison thin on top of that how they going to find a job when they get out withna felony on there record??? I think the state is trying to trap you here... cause a couple months after getting out of prison they will come at you Again for the same thing... "double jepurty " it sounds like to me... then extortion on top of that which you will learn all about in that 1 or 2 years in prison... I'm on child support and have requested a DNA test from the courts here in tx and nothing, they set up court date for me while I was in prison, and didn't get a bench warrant to attend, so know I'm out been out for 3 months and the state of tx keeps sending letters saying I have to pay x amount a month for child support, how did they come up with that amount for me to pay when I've never been to court and didn't have a job??? Anyways today I got a letter saying I better 1600 bucks buy Dec 11 or legal action could be taken.. well...... I'm not paying send me back to prison cause until I find out if that kid is mine or not I'm not paying a dime I'll catch them in the next life. But If I do find out the kid is mine I will be happy to help but I just want a fare judgement if that's what you call it.REPORT COMMENTS

Support should not be based on the father's income only. It took two to create him or her, it should take two to support him or her. Equal rights, right? Isn't that what women seek? The way the laws are written is tantamount to legal extortion by the AG's in cahoot with mothers.REPORT COMMENTS

50/50 child custody should always equal zero support paid by either party. This should apply to whether the mother or the father of the children is the highest wage earner. Several states use unfair calculations as performed in Colorado. I had full custody of my children for 4 yrs, now their mother has come out of the woodwork and suddenly wants to share custody. The judge decided that it was fair for her to share custody, even though she walked away from 3 girls over 4 years ago. Based on the calculations I am required to pay her $1350 per month when we have equally shared custody. This system is a jokeREPORT COMMENTS

I dont think its right for the father to pay child support throughout the year and still get his tax return taken due to back child support. I feel that the reason for said back child support is due to the other parents jealousy. Just like the mother gets to make all the decisons the father should have a say so in what he feel like rhe child needs. However if the mother dont apply for herself on the case their is no enforcement. Both parents should be envolved in the childs life but how can they be when one is doing more while the other sits at home still having kids. A woman can have multiple children while the father has to make decisions and limit his happoness due to the unfair child support quidelines. A mother should not just have get assistant from the goverment n child support while she sits home. Same as if the mother or babymomma have a good and decent job how can his payments be so high. Just like his kids need this and that he needs the same. He should be able to live comfortable as well as the kids and the childs mother. The amount of years on his job should give him more rights and the decison and choice to provide for his own kids. Before all this CSE a man was a MAN. I see how a man could sell drugs while his honest work is being swindled from under him to provide for another household. If the parents were together before and after the baby was born their should be no child support from neither parent. If the father should pay he should have the kids.REPORT COMMENTS

Everyone knows why they keep having babies! This way they do get a free ride. Ian not saying everyone is on our payroll. Some are really need help .these are the ones that go back to school with help from the gov. Which is good. But rest are running around with their phones nails designer hand bags. God knows where the kids are. They just never want to help their selves. This is how their mothers did it so their kid do the same thing and it goes on and on! My husband died of melanoma cancer. I took care of him until he had to go into hospice.Med care paid for three days. He could not go to asisisted living . As he was not able to get out of bed he tried but would fall.assisted living does not allow Siderails on the bed. He begged to come home. So I gave it a good try so they sent all the medical equipment he needed. Some came over and helped get him to bed. No sides on the bed .middle of night he started yelling I got off the couch and found hi on the floor. I could not get him back in the bed .He was 6 ft tall he could walk, crawl ,scooter nor could he move his arms to help even help me get him in the bed. Called the fire dept. And had them take him back to hospice..long story short. That's when I found out made are would pay for any of the days at about 1,000 per day. We did not have that kind off money. He died 6 days later.the only way would pay if we made less than 12,000 a year. He did have kind of a part time job..he drove older people to the dr's or air port. We were ok before he got sick and had 3brain surgeries so I was taking care of him for at least 21/2 yrs. going demo, radiation, I assume if I was on Medicaid . All bills would be paid. So if you make less than 12,000 yould not have to pay for any thing. So the so called middle class get screwed again. I don't even consider myself near middle maybe lower middle class at best. The government so out of touch with what's going on or they do but don't give damn ! My daughter works for Medline which is one of the largest medical supply the supply the hospitals nursing homes and home health care. She gets a lot of nurses ,and the Medicaid patients call demanding diapers delivered in an hour and they have not even been ordered yet. This woman threatened to have some come and kill her. She got calls from the rudest people and they get medical supplies free. I don't blame the elderly they probably have dementia. .i am 73 so I getting to close my self for old age problems. What I want to say is people on Medicaid and food stamps are not the only people need a little help once in while.everything is not just black and white. I think they could take cases on individual bases. If someone in my husbands case made12,000 they would not get a Penney . Dee Lemm ILREPORT COMMENTS
