BSL is ridiculous. I have 3 put bulls and they wouldn't hurt a fly. Instead of prosecuting the breed for what a few ignorant owners teach their dogs why not prosecute the so called humans that think its ok to teach these living and loyal pets to be vicious. Pit bulls are a wonderful breed for a family in fact my 5 yr old daughter sleeps 28th my 150 lb pit bull. -

Dogs are a product of their owners, any AKC professional can verify that fact. BSL does nothing more than assume specific breeds will all innately have the same problems, and that is no different than racial profiling and discrimination. Instead of banning certain dog breeds, it would be better to have owners who require owners of these breeds, with previous past problems (as in, pit bulls rescued from dog fighting rings) to attend training classes. Owners need to know how to handle ANY dog regardless of their breed, but those who choose to rescue should take more responsibility. Please stop dog breed discrimination and give these guys who are rescued the fighting chance they deserve at a happy life.REPORT COMMENTS

This world is getting more twistwd and dark by the day. It is so sickening that such an innocent and loyal breed is being labelled as "vicious" even when the dog has done no wrong. This is genocide but with animals. This is racism with animals. How can you rightfully justify putting away a specific breed of dog because of its "potential danger" to others when there are billions of us that could very well be dangerous to others and ourselves? This is disgusting, and wrong, and can never be justified.REPORT COMMENTS

I have a Pit Bull. I rescued this Pit Bull from a kill shelter. He is the sweetest, most loving dog I have ever owned. I also own a Lab. They are best friends. The Pit Bull is extremely sweet & GENTLE! I can't believe this is even a consideration! People mistreat and abuse animals constantly, especially the Pit Bull. They use this dog for fighting and baiting! Maybe, the owners that are doing this need to be looked at and not the breed. If you actually get to know the breed, you will understand what you are doing is terribly wrong! This is heartbreaking!REPORT COMMENTS

Shame on you all for trying to pass this senseless bill, and trying to end harmless animals lives. Focus on criminals such as rapists, child molesters, and murderers (which you are in that category if you're for this law)REPORT COMMENTS

This is like the holocost, but for dogs. Many innocent people were killed because of their "breed" and now it's being done to innocent animals. Humanity is dying. The only good thing about life is that we get a four legged companion to help us through it. Now people are taking that away because of fear. Sounds like there's a lot of Hitlers out there.REPORT COMMENTS

The men and women who are fighting for breed specific legislation have never met a pit bull. I was attacked by a Dalmatian, Disney's favorite dog, as a child, but I've never met a pit bull that hasn't blown me away with its affection. Stop the ******** and hang out with more dogs. Help the ones that have been confined their whole lives and know nothing but fear and fighting. Dogs are inherently good and it's a shame that there are humans who refuse to see that.REPORT COMMENTS

Dogs love unconditionally and the way you're specifying and declaring a certain breed to be dangerous has all to do with how a dog was raised and treated not how they are genetically.REPORT COMMENTS

I rescued a boxer/pit off the side of the road, and Not a day goes by that I regret that decision. He is one of the sweetest, loving, and gentle dogs I have ever had or come in contact with. To deny other families this type of love, and to take away a dogs chance at life, is truly wrong and heartbreaking. #EndBSLREPORT COMMENTS

My daughter has a boxer/pit mix female that she rescued almost 2 years ago. She has been, is and always will be a responsible owner. Dixie Mae is the most wonderful furbaby we are blessed to have in our family. She's been through training to fit into society that is ignorant about her breed and other breeds deemed bad. I think specific breeds are severely discriminated against in the worst possible way.REPORT COMMENTS
