BSL is pointless. Such bans accomplish nothing except causing heartache, additional work and expense for government workers, and unnecessary death to innocent creatures. Toronto has had a ban for years but dog bites there have been rising steadily. There are so many other options! Make training mandatory. Make spaying/neutering mandatory. Do something! But don't single out one population because of what they look like. Many humans can tell you nothing good has ever come of that.Sep 20th, 2016Someone from Fontana, CA signed.

How can cities like Denver be so progressive, but yet so backwards when it comes to dogs?REPORT COMMENTS

Just as a human being cannot be judged by appearances, a breed does not make a dog dangerous or docile and regardless of breed, a dog should not be judged.REPORT COMMENTS

Having breed specific laws is disgustingly close to trumps views of immigrations and immigrants. Pull your head out of your biggot*****and realize it's not the dog it's the owner. My mom and I have adopted, fostered, trained, and lived with over 10 pit bulls and pit mixes in the last 4 years and not one problem, did I mention that these are the same dogs that are in shelters for being "aggressive" yet all they needed was love and discipline, just like your dogs and your children.REPORT COMMENTS

I and my extended family all own "Pit Bulls" EVERY one of them is a lovable goof, safe around children and loving to everyone. This law is outrageous....it's "PROFILING" of dogs!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Breed specifics is nothing more than racism...only aimed at dogs. We need to make every effort as a moral society to be inclusive and that is relevant to pets who are not dangerous. Breed does not determine aggressive behavior. We know why animals become aggressive and it's too damned bad we cannot ban deplorable humans who abuse, neglect, and train dogs to exhibit the kind of behavior that creates problems for specific breeds!REPORT COMMENTS

It's the human element that's the problem; not the breed of dog. Don't discriminate against a dog breed; prosecute the humans that train them to be vicious.REPORT COMMENTS

It is the human element that causes so many pit bulls to get the bad reputation. So many are wonderful/sweet/gentle and loving dogs.REPORT COMMENTS

Breed Discrimination is such an archaic way of thinking! It is not the breed of any dog that is the problem. It is the way the owner treats an animal that is the problem! Any breed of dog can be taught to attack under a given set of circumstances. The Pavlov laws are proof of that!REPORT COMMENTS
