It's sickening knowing that our service members work everyday to sevre our country and these women sit at home and collect money that is for our service members needs. Bah is untaxed there for should not be included. Allowing states to include it is sickening that you allow your service members to live poorly and unhappy because they can't afford to live life on there own let alone be happy and get married or have another kid with there new wife. Please stop doing this to our service members they don't deserve it !REPORT COMMENTS

Our service men who pay child support are being put into the position of almost homelessness. Things have to change since many of the spouses refuse to work and help there own cituations. The courts are wrong to keep a parent from seeing their children, in taking so much monies from service men Because of that they don't have the money to see their children if their in another area or State. Traveling cost la lot of money which because the courts take almost everything they make away from them. Also, receipts should have to shown on where and what the money is used for the child. To many are using the money to benefit their own use and not the child's. Make a change now, look at suicide rates don't you think some of it has to do with the loss of their children and not having enough money to live along with what they endured from War. Our system had to change. I'm speaking as a parent and Granparent I see both sides and it's not fare. The system is killing the men in the ass. Haven't they been threw enough Give back their dignity as a human being as being parents. Help instead of crushing them down.REPORT COMMENTS

It honestly feels like child support against a father is a punishment rather than in support for the child . I feel if the court is going to have service members paying so much money for our children, then the recieving party should at least be required to show receipts of where all the child support is going and how it is all helping out the child.REPORT COMMENTS

It is an utter disgrace that we are forced to provide recompense to former spouses from non-taxable sources of income. It is egregious that the states are allowed to violate the federal laws that protect non-taxable income. The supremacy clause allows federal law to overrule state law, yet the state family court systems persistently rebuke non-custodial parents for divorcing. State sovereignty should be revoked when they actively extort non-custodial parents. BAH and BAS fluctuate to offset the cost of living in which you, the military member, reside and should not even be touched by the other party. Every time a military member has a permanent change of station, there has to be a reevaluation of their income putting more burden on an already burdened system. Rose v. Rose paved the way for the federal government to allow the states to dictate the matters of the family, however when the state is in direct violation of federal and extorts non-custodial parents something needs to be done. It is the federal government's duty to step in and stop the violations immediately. With respect to Rose v. Rose, the disabled military member was forced to pay child support from non-taxable and non-garnishable disability pay since it was his only source of income and that member was held in contempt of court. However as active duty military members, we have base pay which is a set amount and a taxable source of income. Therefore, child support should only be calculated from what is taxable. The Supreme Court also cited that it must cause "major damage" that is "clear and substantial to a federal interest". The family court system is most certainly geared toward "major damage" due to how the usurp federal law. If a military member cannot meet their financial obligations, then we are punished or worse. We are your most valuable asset! There either needs to be reform to the family court system brought on by federal demand or Congress should step up and set forth laws that protect it's most valuable asset from major damage.REPORT COMMENTS
