A lot of people are getting drug charges they need a little help on getting them back on the right track not spending half there lives in prison. Some have family that care about them. Most people that are non-violent offenders are caught up in the drug culture. They need treatment and training to get them headed toward a productive life. The long prison sentences only insure that their lives will have to be lived on the fringes on society and perpetuate the revolving door of our prison system. Get them back out into society and preserve family ties by shortening the time of incarceration and help with employment opportunities that provide a living wage.REPORT COMMENTS

My boyfriend was charged for attempted murder (5years) he never hurt any one. The victmin tried to rob him. He shot in the air and ran. The victmin never showed up to court. He missed all 8 court days. They offered my boyfriend 9 years with 2 strikes. 5 for the attemp 3 for the gun and enhancement with 85%. He has never been to jail. California system isn't fair. The victmin gave false Id and has a record of robbery home invasion and he's a gang member. Will he qualify for a lesser percent.REPORT COMMENTS
