Why do you give these people more time than the people that are hurting & killing other people? Recently in San Diego, a man was sentenced to 12 months in federal court for smuggling 2 undocumented people in his trunk and these people died. My husband got 36 months for unknowingly smuggling drugs hiddened by a "friend" inside the vehicle he was driving. Kill 2 people 12 months, unknowingly be a mule 36 months!! I have a son who was sentenced to 15 years in a federal prison for sending one picture of his privates to a 16 year old girl....one picture!! He has an Associate Degree and Bachelor of Science degree, never been in trouble, doesn't do drugs or been in gangs, but gets 15 years! Other people have hundreds of images and videos and get 5-10 years. Where is the fairness. He made a mistake, yes, but deserves a second chance. He learned his lesson while in jail without bond. He was considered a flight risk because of our proximity to Mexico, even though he speaks no Spanish! They used him as a guinea pig and to set an example to others. NOT RIGHT!!!REPORT COMMENTS
