It's an unfair system. Women use child support as a weapon and use it to harass men. The system is totally biased and it's unfair. Child support is saying that if a woman gets pregnant she will ultimately control the livelihood of the man. Many mothers keep kids solely to hurt the the man. Unfair! Child support supports the harassment of women towards men. -

There needs to be an accountability for the money spent. I am a female who grew up in a single parent household, and my biological father avoided paying child support by working under his brother's SSN. Nevertheless, I stand for fairness and transparency and not simply for the rights of the single mom. The issue is how to implement a more fair system while not burdening the system with additional expenses. We already have a system in place, EBT, that is utilized for low income families, and a similar card can be used for child support payments. The EBT card restricts certain goods and services from being purchased, and the same could be done for transactions involving child support money. Furthermore, some women and men who receive child support also utilize state assistance and have case managers who frequently contact the non-custodial parent to verify the amount sent for child support. These same social workers can also perform random audits and require the custodial parent prove that child support money is being used solely for the benefit of the children. We have a lot of pertinent issues that need to be handled in this state, but we should also take a moment to implement a policy that is fair to both parents and ensures the needs of the children are being met. It is unfortunate that we have to essentially verify how child support money is used, but too many children are walking around with inadequate clothing and hygiene while child support funds are diverted towards the custodial parent's desires. I am tired of seeing kids who look like orphans while their mothers use their child support money for new clothes, flashy cars, and salon visits. Child support money should only be used for housing/utility expenses and goods and services specifically for the children! I grew up in a single parent household, and my biological father avoided paying child support by using his brother's SSN to work. Nevertheless, we tend to focus on deadbeat dads while ignoring unscrupulous women who use every penny of child support money on themselves.REPORT COMMENTS

A mother here can turn in altered documents,phony receipts,have woman lie for her, lie up on the stand in court CSED don't check on any of mothers paper work CSED does the calculation with the mothers information.... then the father gets hit with a huge amount of child support while the Mother sits on her behind laughing & tells the kids,tell your dad I want my money he owes me. You tell CSED what's going on its like can't you people see what the mother is doing.WOW!!! The father works in construction he is off in the winter & is able to watch the children IF the mother has to work at night. So the mother can get credit for CHILD CARE EXPENSES to the tune of $ 10,000.00 a year shes saying she pays a sitter whom just happens to be her oldest daughter that lives in the same house hold.The mother receiving child support is living with her boy friend shouldnt they be adding his income to the calculation,he does work for the railroad.Mother gets credit for LIVING EXPENSES she lives with her boy friend at his house Mother is not paying for rent, power,water, & gets food stamps Mother pays NO insurance ,father pays it.Yes deffinetly there has to be a big change on this child support system.These woman collecting big bucks off of the children's fathers know how to work the system.REFFORM IS NEEDED NOW!!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Recently served child support order initiated by said mother because she feels I don't give her everything she wants. I stated I unequivocally give for what she needs which is a huge difference. The court allegedly sent me paperwork of a pending court date of which I never received. My child's mother knew of this date and said nothing to me even though we were in constant communication about our daughter. The court date passed and I was hit with an order without even being present. How can that be I'm being ordered a determined amount without solid proof that I was even aware of the proceedings. On top of that the amount for my youngest was higher than my two older children. Yes I am definitely signing this because the system is set up for failure for the active father.REPORT COMMENTS
