this really needs to be approved in AZ. My boyfriends case is so frustrating. The state of AZ is ridiculous he pays his child support every week, month and year. and yet the interest is 10 percent until arrears are paid in full. How can he catch up on arrears if the state is adding interest. The mother is an alcoholic and drug abuser, she uses the child support to buy everything else but for the children. I always thought it was best interest of the children, and why is there interest charges on child support payments. thats why so many fathers are self employed. and work under the table because of similar situations like my boyfriends.

I have a child support case, that child support told me was a excellent case for child support reform. i was told I would need to present my case to congress. my ex wife used child support to attempt to drive me to suicide. she admitted in court. she tells me to commit suicide, and admitted to trying telling me to kill myself. she did everything she could to drive me to suicide, child support told me I would have to work under the table, and then told me I should move out of state, that's what alot of fathers do, CSE suggested california. she used child support to extort money from me. a judge even tried to have me killed in jail. after I asked if I could have a copy of the court proceedings, the judge ordered me to jail for contempt. the jailers told me he wrote a note saying he doesn't want me to walk out of here. the jailers told me to watch out in here, the other guards aren't as nice as they are, the male guard was ****ed, he said hes trying to play god again.where the nurse changed my blood pressure pills 3 times in 3 days, 3rd day I had a heart attack. the nurse who delivered my daughter, is a old friend of the family, she told me there's is no way she is mine, her blood types doesn't match up. help me. obviously child support of the crooked judge put the word out on me nation wide, I am followed everywhere I go. so strange I never do anything wrong.

Child support makes criminals of fathers and I am sure this was never the intent. Supporting my children is not an issue at at but no parent should ever have to pay half of his earnings to anyone. When I was married I didn't spend nearly that much on my kids so now that I'm single the responsibility increases? The system is severely broken.

I'm tired of being screwed over and having my support increase when I earn 10000 less then I did last year. I pay my arrears off and suprisingly I'm requested to court for and increase in payment. In not sure who designed this system we have but to fix it! I'm the parent that works and has not rights to the child do to the mother's ignorance, but yet she is allow to sit on her*****and collect welfare.

In Ohio there seems to be a reform of sorts started and this is the letter I sent to the sponsors/cosponsors: Good Day Thank you for your support of SB 262. As a single father of two and one who has 50/50 shared parenting through the court i'm hoping that the passage of this bill will give me some financial relief. I now have taken from me 37% of my take-home pay in the form of child support and given to a working mother who bears no financial responsibility from her check due to this large amount from me. In essence i'm supporting two households. We were never married and I struggle monthly to cover my own bills which include the times I have and care for the children. If I am not able to get at least 36 hours of overtime each month then im in the negative for that month. I have and will always care for my children but it must be more equal for the paying parent especially if they have the children half the time such as myself. Please on behalf of those parents that are totally involved in their childrens lives emotionally and financially we need relief...we need HELP ! Jerome Louis Becker

I agree that the child support process needs to be reformed, changed and upgraded. I also feel attention needs to be focused on the mothers as well. I do not believe it is far for men to pay back child support for a child then did not have knowledge of or if they are unable to obtain employment due to having a criminal history. The system is a total mess and needs to be cleaned up!

I feel child support should be based on solely only if the parents were married and if they weren't child support should only be solely up to the father by doing this you eliminate woman having kids to live off a man they don't plan on being with and the amount of woman getting pregnant as a financial tool would stop and in many of these cases the man would be going thru a financial hardship when the mother isn't forced to work and the man from her pass relationship either works or gets his license taken away or worst jail time

Both parties should have shared custody and pay your own share of child support. If a custodial parent is chosen then a fair amount should have to be paid by the mother out of her check as well and paid to CSEA. Put it in an account that can only be used on the children not the ex wifes life because everyone that pays knows it can be used on anything but what it should be used for. This system needs reformed. We should be able to write child support off on taxes like woman can write the children off on taxes and get thousands back.

Both child custody and support court needs reform. The child's best interest should take priority over everything else. The current child support system encourages dead beat fathers. It is an uphill battle to do what is right by your child when going through court to settle custody and support. I am a father and was not married to the mother. I barely knew the mother and needed facts (paternity test) to know if I was the father or not. NYS law requires a court order to perform a paternity test! Yes, NYS does not want a male person to take a paternity test without going through court. I did end up having the test done, but only by finding loop holes in the system. I wanted to do right by my child and be an involved parent. Mother and I agreed on a split 50/50 living arrangement, but child support court still mandated that I provided the full amount of child support, even though my child lives with me 50% of the time!! I pay the mother as if my child lived with her full time, and then I have my expenses for when my child is with me 50% of the time!! And people wonder why there are so many dead beat fathers!!! No money in the world will get between me and being a parent. Mothers are abusing the system and using it as leverage to push the father of their child away.

Also child support should be based up the time of divorce and finalized. The receiver of child support should not be able to continually go back to court and receive increase in child support after the divorce is over. Especially if they are capable of holding a decent job on their own. They should also not get rewarded more child support for taking a lesser paying job after the divorce. Child support should go to the children and not the parent. Support payments should be deposited into a monitored account to verify that support money is being spent on the children 's food, clothing and other essentials for the children.

Too often children become pawns because of the extremely high child support. After 18 child support should be dropped period. The child support guide lines should be dramatically cut too. Then you would see a lot less stress to the kids as well. Less divorces. Less greed. Less murders. Less cost to taxpayers and less over crowded courts. In some ways it is unconstitutional and a pretty major violation of rights to the parents. I think that recent laws to no longer order the noncustodial paying parent to pay for huge college costs in addition was long over do. Get government helping with education, infrastructure, etc, not messing so much in people's personal lives and creating more criminals

My ex has full custody of our kids and they've been neglected, abused, scarred, and more. I went to court over this and presented the court with numerous facts and DCFS cases that even I didn't call in. Somehow I became the bad guy and now I see my kids less. Bias? Oh yeah. Who's really suffering here? My ex who is getting a child support check from me and another from her kid's father (two child support checks one child) and the court does nothing. She broke a few court orders and I was the one who was told to calm down I'm making too big of a deal. A guardian ad litem who has spoken to me one time and has summed up the type of father I am as she makes excuses for my ex'S behavior. What's worse is that my daughter has called the police and told them she doesn't feel safe and yet she is forced to remain there. Hmmm if all these things were reveresed I would be in jail or my kids would be removed. A sexist and biased system indeed.

I am in support of child support reform 100%. Women have a responsibility to their children, just as well as men. I have 50/50 joint custody. The childrens' mother does not work, collects my significant support payment, is on welfare, is a recipient of subsidized housing, and STILL is coming after me to try and get MORE. She has an MBA, a BA, an Associate's, A diploma and certification in massage therapy and yet does not work for the past 5 years. This system punishes children in the long run - as it takes money away from a hard-working, high-earning, responsible parent who actually puts money to the children's well being and hands it to a person who is just gaming the system and setting a terrible example for the children of how to be a responsible human being. The current system of child provides for opportunists like this to game the system and unfairly punishes responsible men (perhaps women as well, but it certainly seems that in most such cases, it is women taking advantage of the system).

Child support system is completely unfair, For fathers, and motets with 50/50 custody! It is both parents financial responsibility to care for their children! Why should one parent be ordered to pay, because they make more money? Why should one parent be ordered to care for both households, because one parent refuses to work? The outrageous amounts that are ordered to pay (mostly to mothers) , leave one parent barely able to survive, while the other parent who chooses poor jobs, or refuses to work, and gain government assistance, and child support, are living a better life than the parent who works, and pays financial support in both homes. Why are there harsh penalties on the parent who is obligated to pay by court order? If the paying parent refuses work, they risk being jailed, losing their license, and the receiving parent receives no punishment, for choosing to not work, and financially support their children EQUALLY. Child support needs reform!

Contrary to popular belief the child support system negatively impacts women too. My boyfriend is responsible for child support (I don't have kids) and it has consequences in our daily life. It's a lot harder to save for a house or finance a car when you're dealing with it. The emotional side of things is even tougher. If anyone in congress thinks that keeping things the way they are protects women, think about how the current system unfairly punishes the women who love the men who are subject to the system.
