Child support does not care weather you are virtua)ly homeless or not. It takes everything you've got. No wonder so many go underground to survive.

Yes, these child support laws are rediculous. I pay child support the entire time the kids are with me. Justification from the courts being when they are with me, he still has to provide them a home.....well that is crap! I also have to still provide them a home on top of paying him! I mean what if he didn't have kids, who would be paying for his home then? On top of it, he makes more than me! Last time he adjustted child support he told the court system he was unable to work full time due to the kids' schedules. The week after it was approved, he had a full time job. Now he has my money, his money, AND our son's social security income that doesn't even count as his income even though he uses it for bills. I wish I had the money for a lawyer to adjust these things, but I don't. He sure seems to have money for a lawyer though. Plus as if child support isn't draining enough, he is now takinh the kids off of Peachcare for kids because dealing with them is an inconvenience to him and getting them insurance, I am sure this will be my next expense to pay. I also help with school supplies. I don't talk to my kids due to parental alienation....that is a whole different issue....and I can't visit my kids at thanksgiving and spring break or one weekend a month like I'm allowed to because the judge gave me a rediculous $75 deviatiom for travel expenses that MIGHT get me halfway there. Thes child support laws need changed!

There is nothing to say. I have shared custody and had to defend 2 false cpo against the lier mom. I pay 12500 a year and court made me pay health insurance for 2 more children that are not mine. Father has no rights at all. What are we educating young woman, young moms and soon to become moms. Go have as mor children u can and live of child supprty. You dont need to work if you are anwoman. Knowlagde should be power and education and hard work and not charging dads over their children when they have shared custody. The court explains, even you have shared parenting you are paying to the mother because you are making more money than her. Am i being punished for being more successful or she is being awarded for being less? Terrible sittuation for dads.

A father is a means of support not a cash cow to milked dry. A father who works ,pays child support and helps raise the child should not have to pay all of his money and pay more when the child visits for a month or 2 or 3 ,that is double dipping and should be aginst the law. If the child spends more than 2 weekends a month the child support should be adjusted to his spending on the child. Plus a father who takes his child to and from school; should be refunded the money gas.

I really don't think any government official has any interest with this petition. But I still have hope that our gov will reform why child support payments are so excessive. The laws with child support are one sided and the states favor mothers and are biased towards. We the people need to step up and create a fair union not a feminist union. This has to be reviewed ASAP to many laws.

My son had paid approx. $10,000.00 a year in child support for 8 years. His ex worked and made a good salary also. She remarried a few years after the divorce but from the time of the sep, at which my grandson was only 13 yrs old, she sent him to Colorado & Oregon on a plane alone to go to snowboard camps. At driving age she bought him a $14,000.00 SUV which my son told her he was against yet he had no say in the purchase. My grandson has graduated HS and she now she wants my son to pay for half of the said vehicle but is saying the money will go toward his college. Out of $10,000.00 a year in child support that he paid she put NOTHING away for his education. Where was her part in supporting him? BOTH parents should be responsible for supporting the child, not just one. I really do not feel that trips to Colorado and Oregon are to be an active part of child support. HE did not get to see his son when he wanted because it seems he always had other plans (according to her). She would go away for a weekend or week at a time and my son wanted to keep him but she would tell him He didn't want to stay with him that she was leaving him with his aunt or a friend. WHERE WERE MY SON'S RIGHTS TO HIS CHILD?????? THE SYSTEM IS UNJUST AND UNFAIR AND NEEDS TO BE CHANGED TO BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD. My grandson's mother acted more like a friend than a parent. Sure he would prefer to stay with the aunt or one of her friends because with them he could pretty much do what he wanted to whereas when with his dad his activities were more strictly supervised. This is just not right.

My husband has 25% taken from his income and our employer only offers one healthcare plan that will cover his daughter out of state which we pay $438 for. If his daughter wasn't out of state we would pay about $200 for all of us to be covered. The reality is we pay $900 in support. I am an advocate of child support it needs to be there. I am not an advocate of the way the system is ran. I believe both parents income should be taken into consideration and the age of the child. A childcare age child will naturally cost more with daycare if both parents work to better themselves. Older children do not cost as much and that is the reality. I am saddened by the system because of its brokenness and how it hinders and financially cripples the non custodial parents. My son from a previous relationship suffers because of the child support we pay. I do not receive support which was a better choice for my son and I as I terminated rights. He now has a loving relationship with my husband but we financially struggle. We live very frugally and do not have an extras. I doubt my signature will make too much of a difference but I hope it can display the suffering the child support system causes.
