I have been wating for a modification one year and a half. I have been put on a trial succesfully paid all three trial payments then denied for some obscure reason. Now I have been put on an interest only modification with negative amortization! These banks have toyed with borrowers in need long enough, something needs to be done asap to stop this abusive type behavior on the part of the banks.

My lender has been very abusive and uncooperative. Throughout my painful experience with this lender, My conclusion is that it's main focus was on finding ways to make me fail rather than helping me save my home. They took the HAMP guidelines as a joke. IT took almost a year for my lender to tall me that my application has been declined due to not permanent harship after countless phone calls and sending over and over documents. Sadly, my family is gettig ready to look for an apartment since we are loosing our home. Our dreams and hardwork is being by destroyed a cruel lender.

I would like to request that you ask some of these homeowners in this situation to speak to you...show the paperwork and conflicting letters they are receiving. Make a provision so homeowners do not lose there home (as some have) to foreclosure while on a modification plan

Instead of tax credits for new buyers there is a huge need to help us desperate to save our homes that should qualify under the basic HAMP guidelines. But for most its 6 trial periods (not 3) sending in the same paperwork many times and many are being after all this work denied for reasons not consistent with the guidelines. Instead of funding tax credits the 2nd lien modification program 2MP needs better incentives since there are currently no participants and last I heard about a month ago Treasury was negotiating. There are millions of us that are desperating doing all we can to save our homes, can pay 31% of income but the system is broken and a nightmare to get to the final modification approvals. Fannie backlogged 3 months from what I understand in approvals but first the servicer has to handle the paperwork (often lost and resend many times) and approve and than wait in line for Fannie if they are investor I have been fighting now since March, told to be patient would be contacted by a "processor" and my paperwork looked good. But instead all I got was a foreclosure notice in July. Now finally on 3rd trial but just got the initial paperwork and now probably 3 months for the final documents which are basically the same except they have to be notarized! A long frustrating nightmare for what is designed as a good program but the servicers are making it extremely difficult.

The American people need your help, the banks were bailed out and are NOT helping the everyday working people. You spent the money, hold them responsible Do the right thing for the people not the money!

I hope you will do something; for some, it is a life and death situation. For many, it is a life full of misery to lose their homes. Please, please, do something. Thank you.

I am a part of a significant group of homeowners that do not qualify under the guidelines of HAMP, but nevertheless need help with our mortgages. I am a small business owner in danger of loosing my house, Saxon mortgage tells me first I make too much money, I resubmitted it and they tell me I do not make enough. It is such a fiasco.
