We have paid a $600 application fee when we were originally told we qualified for the making home affordable refi in April, to now be told we no longer qualify and we are not able to get our fee back. This fee along with absurd health insurance costs is what put us just enough behind to miss our first payment. There is no way to survive out here and raise a family in the current situation. The banks need to be required to modify these loans. You should have given the bailout money to the people to pay for these out of control mortgages and medical costs. We the people are much better at spending wisely and reducing waste than these big corporations. Well, we have no choice, we don't have enough to have a house, health insurance, heat, and also eat.REPORT COMMENTS

Please protect the primary homeowners who are caught up in this real estate meltdown. It is far less expensive to keep them in their homes than to force legal proceedings and foreclosure.
