It is not enough to have the government clarify to the Banks and Lending institutions the intention of the stimulus money. There must be accountability and oversight of the financial institutions' decisions and action (or inactions). Who do homewowners go to when there is injustice??

It is ridiculous that any hard working person, especially one who is fully and gainfully employed, should lose their home due to the greed the pervades the banking industry.

I have not been offered any permanent modification by be services Bank of America. They currently have me in a 6 month forbearance program. I have no idea what will happen once this program ends, no one calls me back I cannot sleep at night.

We have paid a $600 application fee when we were originally told we qualified for the making home affordable refi in April, to now be told we no longer qualify and we are not able to get our fee back. This fee along with absurd health insurance costs is what put us just enough behind to miss our first payment. There is no way to survive out here and raise a family in the current situation. The banks need to be required to modify these loans. You should have given the bailout money to the people to pay for these out of control mortgages and medical costs. We the people are much better at spending wisely and reducing waste than these big corporations. Well, we have no choice, we don't have enough to have a house, health insurance, heat, and also eat.

Please protect the primary homeowners who are caught up in this real estate meltdown. It is far less expensive to keep them in their homes than to force legal proceedings and foreclosure. And the government money that was given to the lending instiutions to keep them afloat needs to be redistributed to the homeowners.

The answer to helping Americans is not to take their homes, take their jobs and then raise taxes. Why should the "little guy" pay for the lack of monitoring and lack of dilligence from the bank and mortgage industry?

This has been such a devastating experience for us and others and the Banks have just continued to raise interest rates on their Credit Cards and refuse loans. Please do as was promised by Pres. Obama or their will be nothing but a depressed society.
