This program has been an absolute nightmare for us. Our bank has consistently provided us with incorrect and inconsistent information over the last 10 months. Bank of America has even instructed us to make misrepresentations on our HAMP application, which we are unwilling to do. The representatives and supervisors are not aware of the program requirements as I have read the Treasury Department's guidelines to them, when they did not believe I was telling the truth about MHA/HAMP requirements. I think it is disgraceful what the banks have been doing. They were paid these enormous sums of money yet homeowners are being forced to exhaust retirement savings, emergency funds, loans from family, become homeless. I have been working with WAMU now Chase for 18 mths and have gotten the total jerk around. I had to demand and file complaints just to get a trial modification which I have made 5 payments and still no answer. Its not the people who are not providing requested info to banks holding this up!Hold the banks accountable to run the HAMP program the way it should be and to follow the directives.There should be a freeze on forclosures until these banks can get it right.REPORT COMMENTS

Our modification was denied AFTER we successefully completed 4 trial payments with GMAC! We are now in foreclosure after being told in May that all we needed to do is make our trial payments in full & on time and then our modification would be made permanent. We have a signed contract with them that also states this. Please help! We can't afford to spend a fortune on a lawyer to fight these people! I've read that even bankruptcy judjes are powerless to stop these banks from breaking the rules of this federal program! I can't believe how hard the banks are fighting to thwart the intent of this progam, and thumb their noses at the White House after being bailed out this year. The arrogance of these banks is unreal! I completed 4 trial payments in full & on time, waited 6 more weeks & then was told I didn't qualify! I was current on my payments when I applied now I'm $11,000 behind! It seems to me that the approval process would happen BEFORE a trail payment period begins. I guess common logic doesn't not apply when banks feel compelled to screw you! GMAC needs to have their bailout yanked & the CEO put in jail with Bernie Maddoff!!!! These fithly bastards are deliberately trying to steal my home because I have some equity left and our spineless Congress lets the banks do whatever they want with no consecquences! Congress, If you don't stomp on these banks hard & fast our ecomomy is going down in a double dip that will make 2008-2009 look like high flying prosperity!!REPORT COMMENTS

The corrupt, greedy banks caused the financial crisis in part by gaming the entire mortgage system, then stuck homeowners with the losses at the end of the Ponzi scheme, and then stuck out their hands for a government bailout. Now the banks refuse to throw homeowners, the victims of their fraudulent, illegal activities, a lifeline. Trial modifications, which entail faxing hundreds of sheets of paper many times over, are being used as a beggar-thy-neighbor tactic to squeeze the last pennies out of homeowners before denying them real help and foreclosing! I refuse to be a victim of this and will not apply for a modification until I see positive results. I am prepared to walk (swim!) away from my house if it comes to that! The loss Citimortgage will take after my home forecloses will be greater then if they lowered my payment by 300 dollars a month. Why when I want a LOAN MODIFICATION, is Litton sending me pamphlets for a network of REAL ESTATE AGENTS? Titanium Solutions has NO EXPERTISE in anything except LISTING AND SELLING. They have real estate agents greasing Titanium Solutions palms, they pay $100.00 to get access to LEADS via these crooks at Litton. Who lie about receipt of documents, make up capricious requests for stuff they are not required to have, etc... You are PROHIBITED as a homeowner from even TALKING to the department you SUPPOSEDLY are "working with" --they create bogus paper trails indicating you failed to send them things, when you've both mailed and faxed the items to them, to NO AVAIL. DO SOMETHING! Hope that is just FALSE HOPE is worse than any DESPAIR the Republicans threw at us. At least nobody was building you up before they pulled the rug out from under you!
