Loan Modification has been held out like a carrot to us for over 10 months. We have done everything asked of us, provided all documentation multiple times, paid what we were told when we were told and still... no modification in sight. You will never fix the mess we are in until you: 1) Help those who have always done the "right" thing, like pay their mortgages and taxes, but have just fallen behind due to this economic situation that "YOU" caused by giving mortgages to people who did not deserve them. 2) Give those of us that still have our jobs and are paying our taxes the confidence that if something happens to us, that there will be some sort of safety net. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ALL JUST STOP PAYING OUR MORTGAGES? WHY NOT HIT THEM WHERE IT HURTS MOST? IN THERE WALLETS! I RECENTLY HAD GE CAPITOL LOWER,YES LOWER MY AVAILABLE CREDIT LINE TO WHAT WAS MY CURRENT BALANCE OWED. TURNS OUT IT WAS "ALL OF THE LOWES COMMERCIAL CARD HOLDERS" HAD THIS HAPPEN BECAUSE "GE HAS NO CASH TO GIVE OUT FOR CREDIT". SO I SIMPLY STOPPED USING/PAYING. I STILL USE LOWES FOR SUPPLIES BUT ONLY PAY WITH UP FRONT CASH RECEIVED FROM MY CLIENTS.I QUICKLY STARTED TO RECEIVE 5-6 PHONE CALLS PER DAY FROM GE. THEY GOT TO A POINT WHERE THEY WERE ALMOST BEGGING ME TO SET UP SOME TYPE OF "ALTERNATIVE" LOWER INTEREST PAYMENT PLAN.THIS ONLY REINFORCED MY THEORY THAT THEY CAN AFFORD TO SUCK IT UP AND LOWER THERE INTERSET RATES, TO BENEFIT THEMSELVES, TO GET ME TO GIVE THEM SOMETHING;CHECK/CHECKMATE! THE MAIN REASON THEY HAVE HIGH RATES IS BECAUSE THEY GET AWAY WITH IT. MY POINT IS...BEAT UP ON THE CREDITORS, AND THEY WILL GIVE IN TO OUR PRESSURE. WE HAVE TO STAND UP TO THOSE WHO MAKE A LIVING ON OUR MONEY FASTER THAN WE CAN MAKE IT.WE HAVE TO KEEP GIVING THE BANKS THE PRESSURE THAT THEY CANNOT GET AWAY WITH THIS. FOX NEWS IS ON THE **** LIST WITH THE WHITE HOUSE. I THINK IT IS BECAUSE FOX REVEALS THE TRUTH ABOUT THE OUR GOVT. AND ECONOMY. TRUTH IS, WE NEED TO STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT FOR US. Wall Street and greedy, irresponsible banks and lenders have created a disaster for hardworking Americans. They must be held accountable in a simple way: force them to work out negotiated modifications with every affected mortgage holder. We don't want a free handout. We want a fair, balanced, respectful, transparent system that treats us as the important customers that we are. The banks should give credits in the form of principal forgiveness and interest rate reductions in a way that helps the borrower settle into an affordable mortgage. Remember, their greed drove the market up and then deeply down. They profited hugely in the past and must pay reparations in the form of negotiated settlements to give everyone a fair mortgage. We need to stay in our homes, we are the backbone of stable, family-oriented American communities. We deserve a system that supports the foundation of our country.REPORT COMMENTS

Using 401K to pay hardship bills (child has Autism/treatments not covered under our health insurance). Completed 3 trial payments on time last one 8/09. All paperwork in, been charged $150 from Chase for some CORP ADV FEE, no one from Chase will tell me what it is for. No loan mod, no negotiator assigned, never contacted by Chase. I call 2-3 times per week, getting no where. Banks are pulling a scam on all of us!REPORT COMMENTS

I waited patiently from April 09 to Sept 09 only to be told I didn't qualify for Hamp, So I pressed on because business was down ad after owning my own business for 24 years I saw it was continully going South, I knew I quaified under for business being upside down, And was offered a Modificiation 2% for 5 years capped @ 5% and went for 40 years included PITPMI , then 3 weeks later they send me a FOrebeareance package PHH Mortgage COmpany is a deceptive, deplorable, company and should be closed down by the Feds ASAP. and their the loan servicer for Fannie Mae who borrowed 56 Billion from the State Treasury Dept. Fannie Mae is also responsible. but of course the seem to be unaccountable.REPORT COMMENTS
