I took Lupron for 4 months. I was supposed to take it 6, but decided to cut it short. I'm in excruciating pain in my lower back and hips. I've started cortisone injections into my SI joint because the pain is unbearable. My memory is terrible lately, my vision is blurred and when I drive I see things that aren't there. Anxieties are through the roof. All in all, ever since I started taking Lupron, I've had nothing but problems. And, it never fixed my endometriosis or cysts. This product is useless and people need to know ALL the risks and effects!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I suffered with endometriosis from age 18-28 without a diagnosis. When they finally discovered it, I was put on the Lupron shot. I was on it from age 28-34. Beginning at age 32, I started to suffer from unexplained fevers, migraines, digestive issues, extreme fatigue, fibromyalgia, tachycardia, IBS, TMJ, Raynaud's disease, depleted immune system, MRSA, facial dermatitis of unknown etiology, insomnia, Jackhammer disease (severe esophageal spasming), severe joint pain, occipital nerve damage, dimness of vision, memory loss. I was so energetic, I traveled the world with my job, I was involved in so much, I led retreats, had speaking engagements, I went out with friends. I now am living back at home with my parents as I can no longer work to support myself. I have to take strong pain meds just to get out of bed. I am now 38 and after years of doctoring to figure out where all of these "random" medical problems were I began doing my own research. I collected ALL of my medical records and started looking for changes around the beginning of the new symptoms. I looked up so many things. Than one day I came across the Lupron. I looked it up and started sobbing. I was reading all these testimonials that could have been written by me, it was my story. I wasn't alone in it. My body wasn't freaking out for no reason. No one should have to go through this, I am so sorry to all of you. But now we know we are not alone. Something needs to be done. People need to be made aware of the effects. Not just that sheet that comes with the med that has the list of possible side effects that is the same list as every med, but information on the LONG TERM side effects. We need research to find how to diagnose, treat, and determine what the prognosis is for patients.REPORT COMMENTS

This injection has caused more pain and suffering than what I suffered with before the injections. My daily migraines, constant chest pain, weakeness, dizziness, bone pain, cramps and endometrial issues were not worth this injection. Please review it. I will sign up for any study to.see the effects of this terrible drug.REPORT COMMENTS

I was injected with Lupron shots to prepare for a laparoscopic removal of fibroids in 2000-2001. I had the surgery without complications. I have been in great health to my knowledge until recently suffering a fall on my knee and going from a double torn meniscus ( medial and lateral), which I did not recover from to now being recently diagnosed with degenerative arthritis and needing a total knee replacement.... I'm only 53. Both my knee joints are killing me and I'm taking Celebrex and Motrin 800 mg to relieve joint pain.REPORT COMMENTS

My 19 yo daughter is struggling to stay in colleg She has battled her way through school since she was 13 yo. After 3 surgeries for endometriosis she was told the only way to stop her pain was a hysterectomy which no doctor would consider until she tried lupron first. The side effects were intolerable and lupron was discontinued after the first 6 month injection. Many of the symptoms of menopause (except the 30lb weight gain) ceased after 6-8 months. However severe and worsening joint pain with fatigue, low energy and depression are now her companions. This must stop before others are similarly hurtREPORT COMMENTS

I recently returned home to see my elderly grandparents and have since moved in to help care for my grandfather. He is 78yrs old and had the Lupron injection one month ago for prostate cancer which has come back after 10yr remission. My grandmother told me she just had a call one morning for him to go in and have an injection which was administered by a nurse in the office before he went off to work. In a matter of days the symptoms took hold and he has been out of work for a month devastatingly ill with severe pain, weakness, weight loss and other symptoms that seemed like flu-like. All of this has been dismissed as the flu by his normal doctor nothing to do about he was prescribed pain pills and that was that. After talking more with them both have discovered the shocking details about 'an injection' though they had little to no information not even knowing the actual name or why it was prescribed or who the doctor is that ordered it. Multiple calls have been made to the hospital with very little information a doctor name but no one can tells us who this doctor is claiming no one knows who he is. I am extremely upset and dismayed having to blindly seek more information into this medication online seeing this and other sites detailing some of these now all to familiar symptoms with the possibility of waiting weeks &/or months for some slight relief for my already emaciated weakened suffering dearly loved one....REPORT COMMENTS

I took Lupron to treat endometriosis/desmoid tumor 2 years ago. I didn't want to take this shot at all due to all the negative reviews I read on it. However....EVERY Dr. I went to, pushed me to take this drug. I wish I had trusted my gut instinct and not taken it. I have major memory loss, hair loss, bone/joint pain from taking this drug. It never did anything for my endometriosis and I ended up needing a hysterectomy and another surgery to remove the mass from my abdomen! I took the medicine for nothing!!! FYI.. I only allowed then to give me a 1 month injection (I would not let them give me the 3 month injection at once)REPORT COMMENTS

The Eligard worked great for shrinking the fibroids, no more pain during sex and my stomach has shrunk but the joint pain is horrific! Constant hip bursitis, hot flashes (progressively worse at stressful times), episodes where my mind draws a blank. I'm gonna need a felt board to communicate. My hair is just as horrific as the joint pain I could be a scarecrow! Fortunately I didn't gain weight because I urinate at least five times during the night. Strange bright red spotting during intercourse or when I stand or walk for long periods. The hot flashes are great compared to the joint pain especially since I'm cold natured. I know my hair is unruly, dry, brittle, oh, did I say UNRULY! Dry skin and I'll say again, JOINT PAIN!REPORT COMMENTS
