This drug has impacted my life and has had long term side effects. 5 years later and the pain in my body is not only getting more severe, but spreading. I have suffered herniated discs in my back, severe neck pain with limited mobility and a frozen shoulder that eventually was manipulated after months of physical therapy. I am now having severe leg pain and tingling in my left hand. I am only 49 years old, yet my body feels 20 years older. I have always been physically fit and now it's an effort to maintain an exercise routine because of the pain. The effects of this drug are devastating and our stories need to be heard. I am still able to work, however I worry that I'll not be able to last another 6 years to enable me to retire with 31 years.Mar 31st, 2015Someone from Montoursville, PA writes:
I was on this medication for 6 months. At no time were the risks of this medication disclosed to me. I lost my hair, fingernails, and toenails. I suffered from memory loss and could not recall answers to even the simplest of questions of general knowledge. I was put on Lupon to treat endometriosis. Doctors are using this medicine as if it is a cure-all for a nasty disease that has no cure and will come back very aggressively once the treatment is stopped. Was on Lupron in 2000 (6momths) and again in 2014 (only 3 months), side effects are Horrible!!! I was afraid to sleep at night, horrible panic attacks, dizzy spells. Now after doing more research I understand why my teeth are horrible and I keep breaking bones (bone loss)! Now after the second dose I'm loosing my short and long term memory, no to mention being in pain constantly! So sad that this was supposed to help slow my endometriosis and cyst, and I have lost so much of my life because of this stupid drug!REPORT COMMENTS

i know suffer from extreme joint/bone pain, I already slightly had TMJ- now I have 40-60% bone loss in my jaw, insomnia, body pain, fatigue, tachycardia worse than I had before, unable to really work because of the body pain/joint pain/migraine/fainting spells..... Like another commentor, I was given lupron as a treatment for fibroids. I am questioning the business aspect of the treatment as it relates to physicians and insurance companies/plans. There are other treatments for fibroids thai was not offered except surgery which is again is more profitable procedure for Doctors. Had two shots of lupron depot im in Feb/Mar 2014. Was suppose to get 3 but it was too painful. Here I am one year later with daily sometimes severe pain in my right leg. My memory is bad too. Did not know it was a chemotherapy drug. Was told it was to shrink fibroids.REPORT COMMENTS

my fiance is taking this medicine the try to help her with another medical condition that she has the past 10 years and it's cost her her teeth short term memory loss interfere with her sex drive all I know is that she has not been eating very healthy and they didn't warn her about all the negative side effects how it could eventually possibly tell her they need to do more research on this come up with a better solution Other than this poison there should be a law again this happening to people they should do better studies on these drugs before they use them I suggest nobody else take thIs drug SO it doesn't kill anybody else.REPORT COMMENTS

Was put on this medication for treatment of prostate cancer and I have had every side effect listed. I am in pain every day. Severe depression joint pain numbness and tingling in my feet and toes. I had 3 injections and one month after the first injection I began having problems with Migrains, lost 30lbs in less than one month, from that time every year I developed additional autoimmune disorders. I now have a total of 9 autoimmune disorders, many of which cause severe pain, I started out with a rare Thyroid cancer, then Addison's disease, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Sjogrens Syndrome, Diabetes, Chronic Migraines, Vision issues that are causing my vision to deteriorate. This drug needs to be removed from the market, I also discovered that at the time I was given the injections the drug company was offering each doctor $1000 for every patient they managed to lie to and give the injections to.REPORT COMMENTS

Was prescribed lupron 2x 1st round was 6 months in my late 20's, 2nd round was for 5 months in my early 30's. I'm now 48. I have CRPS, osteoarthritis, DDD, ligament laxicity, vit D deficiency, depression, anxiety, chronic pain. Am on total disability. Have had 8 pelvic surgeries.
