I, personally think felonies should be reviewed every 7 years just as debt does or as most people say re-establishing credit. I had a feliny since the age of 17 and automatically looks at as a awful and unproductive citizen it was a theft charge but none of them are violent crimes. I would love to join the service to better my life to so hopefully this petition really gets congress to do something. As I stated above "FELONIES SHOULD BE ASSESSED EVERY 7 YEARS" just like debt if you can't get your life in order in 7 years and continue to get in trouble then obviously you do not deserve to have a clean record. Not everyone is bad just because of a few mistakes because not everyone know the story behind them!! -

I'm a former law enforcement officer and Marine. I'm a volunteer mentor for men that are about to re-entry society. Many of these men are very smart and realize their wrong and want to get the past behind them. Many would do very well in the military and the military would help these men a great deal. Years ago when someone in trouble had a choice of jail or military, I believe you would find out those that picked the military did very well in society and we're better citizens for their service to our Country.REPORT COMMENTS

Probation has been flawless, stupid thinking has put me in the position that I am today. I would do anything to prove that I am a changed person to serve this country that I love so so much.
