I was so embarrassed that the University of Phoenix was a profit school let alone the faculty pulling a wool over my eyes. I had been so blinded that just before I got my degree in 2015 online I had gotten a mild stroke from a medication that was stopped and not weaned that I had even had short memory loss. Even through this I was still determined to get my degree and they seemed so willing to help me. What a joke. The last time I spoke to them that on top of my scholarship, pell grant, and student loan which came to a total of 3,320 I still owed them 100 dollars. I said you got to be kidding and quickly searched for a non-profit school which I did. Now I have to take courses that are general basic courses before I can take courses in my Bachelors in Human Resources Management with Certificate. I must admit if it needs to be done so be it, however I am 60 years young and disabled, however it is late than never.

My degree us useless and I was told how "in demand" my degree would be". My employer told me that they do not consider UOP degrees applications. I cannot use my degree to get a CAHIM certification which I was told I would be able to get. I feel that I was mislead and they only cared about me going to their school. I am a single father and cant pay the debt. Even worse, I cannot get financial aid to go back to get the credits I need to get the certification I need.

I was complete associates, bachelors, and masters. I was told continuing would help extend my loan payment because I'm on medical leave. I've spent 6 years of my life to this school trying to better myself for my three daughters and for what now to be laughed at. They can give me back my money and my life.

I want UoP to pay back my loans, personally. They told me everything to get me in, they offered job placement, convinced me they were respected and accredited. Employers don't care about my UoP degree, they even look down on it...If I had known any better I would have went and earned certs... Instead I'm shackled to a growing 30k debt for a degree that is useless...100% useless. I can't find a respectable job that could pay these loans back with the cost of living in my area if I wanted to. I was misled and flat out lied to by UoP and I'm the one suffering for their greedy evil actions. I want their CEO to pay my loan beck to Uncle Sam.. When are you going to stop letting vultures like this get away with ****ing the people?

This supposed College is only there to milk what they can of your financial aid as they basically teach you nothing! I went through one part which was only learning the sites functions and they took well over a grand just for that and then changed the site around again six months later to only charge more for showing you where they moved things! They should be restricted from taking financial aid and all people who went through them that had financial aid and could not land a job due to their laughable degree or quit due to the bs they put you through should have their loans forgiven!

Then I sent a letter to the Higer Learning Commission which sent a letter stating they have no part in the decision makings. I have not given up, they will reimburse me for all my student loans. LJC

Classes were a joke. People got class credit and attendance approved by answering Discussion Questions. All people had to do was repeat what others had said or even worse, just give random answers that showed they had no understanding of the question. Complete waste of money, only went 2 semesters before I realized it is all a scam. They are not helping anyone learn and professors were very underqualified. I will not pay a dime. Thank You.

I started the program when the economy took a hit thinking that a degree would help give me options. $55,000 in student loan debt and a degree that is not accredited. It did not help. I wish I knew then what I know now.

After i survived 9/11 ( i was on the 84th fl in the SOuth Tower, i got out 7 minutes before it colapsed) i decided to moved to Fort Laudedale, FL and went back to school as a therapy. At first i went to Everest (bad scool also), deceaved me by telling lies (e.g. better jobs, career, was not allowed to aplly for scolarship because it was not meant for people like me). After a year I decided to transfer to UoP (October 2006) because it was the only one who agreed to tranfer some of my credits. Also i was told that UoP did a lot for victims and as a survivor i will have nothing to worry about. I was wrong. After spending 7 years, I accomplished a BA in criminal justice, MSA, and MBA). Came the bill by Navient in 2013. They were asking so much (114, 659.50), i requested my statement from UoP, they charged me $101, 313.00. I demamnded an explanation, did not get one yet. At first i filed a compliant under the Apollo Group website, Loan Forgiveness from UoP, an employee responded by sending me a new statement. There was a big difference, from $101,313.00, now my three degrees cost is $65,577. As for Navient (loan servicer), they confirmed that my original balance after i completed my degrees was $113,659.50. At first i ws able to make monthly payment (2013), now I can't. I was told by Navient that interests are added to the principal every year, which increase monthly payment, and also based on my income, but mostly based on my status (single with no dependant). so this Income-Driven-Repayment is not working for me. As a result i had no choice to file for forbearance. IN January 2017, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) filed a lawsuit aains Navient for not respecting its engagement to keep low monthly payment. University of Phoenix almost doubled my loan, Navient now is telling me that my original balance WITHOUT interest is $122,768.34. Between UoP and Navient, which one is worse? Today, 08/15/2017, I checked my balance, and it is almost 129,000.00. As i mentioned abose i am under the forbearance program, i have no choice, as a result interests are added daily. I am stuck, can't do anything at all (e.g. loans, transfer credits cards, ect). I read recently that UoP is not accredited, really? so i spent seven years for nothing?

Now i'm in debt for a degree I never had a chance to finish. When speaking to the person who was getting me to join up, I remember he replying to me when I said I don't know if I can afford it with, "don't worry, you'll have a job that can repay it easily after".

I have a useless 4 year degree from UofP and a $55,000 debt looming over my head too boot. Lied too and mislead is an understatement. I complained to the school and questioned my degree that I have NOT been able to find a job since I graduated that would support my family. I am now a field sales rep, freelance creative, and a firefighter trying to pay the bills. ALL of which I did not need any college education to become. What I have is an associates degree from another school which I question now and this useless degree from UofP. I will not pay them or Navient a dime because of the time you wasted for me and the lies.

I am currently a student at University of Phoenix and I was told (when I first enrolled) that my 2 year associate degree in Health Care Administration with a concentration in Electronic Medical Records would cost me a total of 10,000 for the 2 year program. My current debt with the school is approx 16,000 and I still have a little less then half my credits to go. I have been unemployed for 1 1/2 years, take care of my disabled brother and family, have conditions and illnesses to battle without health insurance and I have approx 18000 in personal debt (car payments and credit cards) to still pay off. I have managed to use my savings to live and pay off one of my student loans but I feel this is insane. Since I enrolled, I have heard horror stories from other students regarding student loan debt and honestly, I do not feel very confident the degree I am working on will help put me into the field I am studying for. I am still enrolled because I feel pressured to stay.
