I owe over 100000 in student loans. I make no more today with my so called degree than I did before I had it. I CAN NOT pay this monthly fee they want The school made promises and insisted I get more loans over and over. My degree is a joke in the work force and I am paying a total of 109000 for people to laugh at me while I try to put food on the table It is a shame and should be stopped

When I first inquired at UoP I was promised job placement. I was too young and dumb to realize that I shouldn’t be going to this type of college. My degree like everyone else is pointless. Their job search section is always out of date. I wish I would have stuck with a more traditional college.

I agree. I have yet to have anyone take me seriously with my degrees. I had instructors use my work for teaching elsewhere. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business.

I owe so much in loans that I haven't been able to pay back because I cannot find a good paying job with my Associates degree. It doesn't make sense. I took time and spent nights with out sleeping to better my life going back to school to earn a degree and still am struggling to find a job and have a big debt that I can't pay back.

I graduated with a worthless associates degree that cost me over $33,000. That's the principle folks. A two year degree that cost basically as much as if I attended Penn State per credit hour. I've never been able to obtain a job using UOP as my college. Due to all the negative press and poor education standards, I've only been laughed at by potential employers. Because the principle balance alone was so high (I attended back in 2008) then add the interest, I've never been able to afford the student loan payments and over the years my balance is over $70k. For an associate's degree that I've never been able to use. The school also never contacted me to help with job placement, help write a resume or provide financial advice on my loans. In fact, the only time after I graduated that I heard from UOP was too re-enroll and give them more money. If there is ever a class action lawsuit I most certainly want to part take

Wow I too was financially deceived. After attending to classes on line for over a year and a half toward the end of a semester I finished my final assignment. But because I sent it from my cellphone the format was received in another format from what they asked. They disqualified me and charged me for the entire course $ 11,000. Now because of interest I'm up to $15,000. This stress me out immensely to the fact that physically my body is reacting to this stress.

I am so disgusted!! I was concerned over how reputable this school was from the beginning. Was told it is highly respected and job placement is basically guaranteed because they contract with big organizations whom ONLY hire UOP students. I busted my butt for four years. Was told at the beginning there MAY be approx. 1000$ out of pocket expense. My third year that about bounced up to 5000$ out of pocket . After disputing this the amount dropped down to around 2000$. My 4th year and 15 credits away I was told I was out of student loan money and would have to pay for my last 15 credits out of pocket. They set me up to take classes with one of the organizations they contract with called "Sophia". 300$ for 3 credits. I have 15 so they withdrew me from school with a balance of around 900$ owed to the school. Still paying "Sophia" to finish. Student loans are due. Almost 50,000 for a BS on Psychology. Then they send my "debt" to collections saying I owe 1,555$. I don't even have the degree yet!! They added another 600$ to my out of pocket. This school is fraudulant. I will do anything I can to expose them!! It's extortion.

I cant get any help with my loans and my Senator said there is not much that can be done at this point until it is resolved in court. I was scammed by this school with 3 degrees and no employer takes it serious. I wish I knew who to contact to Sue University of Phoenix because they called me to continue on and that is no different than telemarketing.

Was promised career placement in the criminal justice field, was told University of Phoenix was a REAL university and I was just attending one of their satellite campuses. Oh man, I was young and dumb. They are the apart of that Apollo Group bullspit. EVERYONE GETS LOANS but NOT EVERYONE GETS A REAL EDUCATION. For profit is fine, but recruiters are liars and most people going to a school like this, unfortunately, don't know they are getting ripped off. I was one of those jerks who thought I'd be getting a REAL college degree that would matter. When someone asks me where I got my degree I just say night school. Its much more embarrassing to be linked to a shiester outfit like the FAKE University of Phoenix. This place needs to be closed, its BS and is doing nothing but enslaving people to student debt. Even if the government doesn't bailout those mired in ridiculous predatory lending, they should close the school immediately. At least if they closed the school it, would keep people from getting ridiculous loans they would be better off without.

I received a BS in Criminal Justice. I was unable to secure a job within the field. I continued serving tables even after I had graduated. I moved my way into management within my company. Guess what... They did not ask me for my degree. This was solely based on my drive and efforts. My degree will not ever be viewed as desired because it was received from UOPX. I have M.S. and I have been unable to pay my debts (my fault), but they have now defaulted and my entire income tax was taken as of today. My debt is my debt, but I did try to make my degree count but because it was achieved from UOPX, it is laughed at. I chose that school because I am a mother and a wife and was trying to prove to my children that they can do anything. I am proud of my efforts to achieve the degree, but am disgusted at the joke of an education that was received.

Attended this school hoping for a career change with my Bachelor's degree, but I wasn't taught enough to actually make a career change. I fell back on the training I got in attaining my Associate's degree (from a different school), and I am around 90k in student loan debt. I am beyond furious at this school and their laughably pathetic program. A waste of time and money that I regret more than anything in my life. I wish I had never pursued my Bachelor's degree at all; my family and I would be in a much better financial position.
