I am ashamed of this degree. This is not a diploma mill as I worked for this degree. This degree failed in that I attended college with many students that did not possess the skills necessary to be an adequate team member. In a working environment you would be paired with individuals vetted by an organization to have a set of similar skills to achieve a goal. At Uop many of the students that I was in class with had little writing skills making group projects a nightmare. Breaking down group papers into manageable segments was a frustrating experience. Trying to assemble a group paper with students that had written four poorly written paragraphs was maddening. I felt the need to research the entire aspect of everyone's sections, take control of each paper's assembling and rewrite each paped to have the paper flow and to ensure I receive the grade I wanted. Uop devalued this degree by placing anyone in the seat and forcing the brighter, more competent students to "teach" when we were there to learn. Schools listed on the stock exchange do not hold their students first - the stockholders are first. Government needs to ensure traditional colleges have the funds to have great programs for working adults because a lot of us don't have parents able or oftentimes willing to assist with college. For a lot of us achieving a college education represents a milestone of survival from a family fraught with broken home issues and violence. I did the best I could. Uop degree and debt associated therewith really destroyed my life. I have felt I was born into a deep hole and it just keeps closing in on me. I'm so sad to write this but more needs to be done to ensure one can escape a bad family that you are born into. Young people don't see that hope. Everyone deserves the ability to have a quality education.

Uop loan have devastated lives of those trying desperately to provide for their families. Uop cares about shareholders, not students.

Upon admission I was guaranteed coverage of my admission with student loans and a Pell Grant. After enrollment I was told that my loans would run out and my last 3 classes would come out of my pocket. I have yet to find an organization that accepts a UoPX degree as a legitimate degree, and I'll be about $80,000 in debt when I graduate without the ability to get career pay well enough to pay my loans back.
