My entrance documents for UOP and AXIA were filled in with false information by overzealous 'salespeople'. I've had to dig up, copy, and write letters to the loan-holder to prove the information was false to MAKE THEM forgive the debt. Apparently, my information has to "be reviewed by the Board of Education." It's bad enough the 'degree' is worthless but to force me to pay for an outright SWINDLE is outrage.

I got a master's degree and 108,000 dollars dept to find out that they were no longer accredited and I had to go through hoops to get anywhere. They also refused to help with an internship which is required in my state. I wasted 6 years on a degree that is worthless.

When I called this college they said they had the social worker program so I was all for it and I'm the middle of my first class I was told no I was in rolled in getting a degree for family and community for himan services...I switched colleges because I felt like I was running in circles around the Financial aid department and my student advisor was not much help either. So I switched colleges and now I am majoring in what I wanted to go for in the first place and like it. I so want to get money back from them but also hope this school gets shut down because no one should go through circles in any department and get no help.

I took classes through the University of Phoenix for two years and spent well over $15,000 before they told me that Texas does not accredit them to take the Certified Public Accountant exam. When I approached my counselor, he told me that it was okay and that I would still have an accounting degree. The entire point of attending college is to one day become a Certified Public Accountant. When I finally left the school, they were rude and not helpful at all. I transferred to a local community college and 3 classes transferred for credit. In the meantime, I am still $16,000 in dept because of the University of Phoenix. The school is a joke.

I have over 50,000 dollars in student loan debt for a masters program for a degree that they no longer offer. I had a sick child that had to be hospice asked for time away from the program and was told I had to take the class even though I told my advisor I wouldn't be able to. Failed class and now I am 3 classes short of graduating with a worthless degree and they won't honor anything or let me return when I tried earlier because I owe all that money. I thought my degree would help

This degree has not helped me in securing a better career. All you did was write long papers and do a week five presentation. No training or standard industry tools provided. People and Organizations view UOP as a joke. I have not had any success with this degree. I was told I have no leadership skills. I was working a 8-5 and was guaranteed job placement. Now have this debt from degrees that I cannot do anything with. This school abused people in so many ways. Shut this school down for deceptive practices.

The degree that I received from University of Phoenix has done nothing for me. I have been laughed at by several companies because of where I got my degree. All I have to show for an education is $35,000 worth of debt. "real" colleges won't accept most the credits received here. It's a joke!

It has not helped me at all with securing a better job or a better paying position., I was not even able to enter the field as organizations view a UoP degree as a joke. At the time I had extremely limited options to obtain my degree as a full time working single mother of 5 kids.

I to have a piece of this useless but expensive piece of papers. I have not been able to secure a job that offers me anymore money than I was making prior to my degree as promised. Yet the student loan bills keep coming. Also, just like the majority of the students who attended this school I to was encouraged to obtain a degree in busines. I guess this was there most popular and profitable program. I see many unfavorable trends in there procedures. hmmm!

I decided to go to college to obtain a bachelors to better myself, unfortunately my degree from UOP has not helped my in any way. My degree was supposed to be in accounting but ended up being in Business concentrating in accounting. I cannot get a accounting job because most companies do not recognize my degree and often laugh when I put it on my resume or speak about it in interviews. One employer during an interview said "that is not even a viable degree" "what does concentrating in accounting even mean". My degree stated Bachelors in Business concentrating in Accounting. At the time I achieved my bachelors I worked as an office manager at an accounting office and could not even get promoted. The advisors flat out lied about the courses that were within the degree and how I would be able to find employment within the accounting industry. I am $60,000 dollars in debt and have not been able to use my degree in the past 4 years since I obtained it. At this point I would give up my degree over the debt and lack of my ability to find employment in the accounting industry. I would start over with a reputable college. I cannot even start my Masters degree with a reputable local college due to the courses that were provided to me at UOP. I went back to a factory job and have had to put many long hours in to obtain my salary, now I pay a fortune in student loans but am not able to work in the accounting industry which was my long term goal. My husband went to UOP as well and got is Associates in Elementary Education. He picked a career to help disabled kids, unfortunately he too cannot use his degree in Illinois not even as assistance because of the courses that were offered. He started his bachelors and stopped shortly after when he found out he was wasting his time because he would not be able to find employment is his career. This school LIES to their students. He too went back to factory work.

My adviser said that multimedia graphic art web design would be the perfect degree......WRONG it was about coding web pages. I had 2 class were I learnt about photo editing that's was it. I call and talk to my adviser about it not what I thought , I was told be patient Your up comming classes will be more gears at what you want.NEVer did. Now I have a degree i Never wanted. 50000+ in loans and now becuse coding is part of basic class in school age . Employers are not looking or requiring a degree . Actually it's hurting me now becuse they can pay a person with same knowledge out a degree less then me. I don't know what I'm going to do to pay it back. At this rate I won't be able to save up to send my daughter to collage. Leaving her in a similar boat with high student debt. it's becoming circule . Please help me by forgiving it. So I can save to send my daughter to school......going back to school and choosing the univeristy of Phoenix was the biggest and saddest mistake of my life.

University of Phoenix should have been stopped as soon as it started. It does now seem that you get laugh at by potential employers as soon as you mention you attended classes there or online. I really disagree with a class where the instructor openly stated, " I am not a programmer and know nothing about programming, I am just here as a class facilitator. " This was for a class on programming a Information Technology degree. In the beginning that just grabbed anyone as a teacher without knowing what they were teaching.

I was forced into obtaining a loan I could never qualify for since I was paying child support. The recruiter quit UOP after signing me up. I drop out after they were charging me $1,400 a course for On-line after leaving campus courses. My debt was only $11k. I paid off 3K and now it's $17k with interest. I left UOP in 2004 and to continue paying interest only is extortion. UOP should be ashamed of their bad practices.

I attended UOP for almost 8 months. I had some life events happen, gave birth and buried my father all within 3 weeks of each other right before another set of classes started. I made sure I emailed my academic advisor that I needed to withdraw for a little bit to allow me to get my life settled. I was told no problem, well she must have forgot that she enrolled me into the next two sets of classes. Now I'm stuck owing almost $1,300 from 8 years ago! I have been enrolled in school since January and doing very well however University of Phoenix will NOT release my actual transcripts nor could they guarantee when I paid the amount they were offering me that they would even be released! This school is a rip off!

UOP decided to send my federal financial student loans back and then send me straight to collections without ever contacting me. This is right after they emailed me telling me 1. I had no balance 2. Releasing my official transcripts to the school I was transferring to (because I had no balance) 3. Sending me a refund because I had over paid on a class by 2k. I spoke to several "financial advisors" prior to transferring to make sure in fact that I did not have a balance because I needed my official transcript- everything was good to go. Thankfully, I am in my new school- however, I am fighting the new $4110 credit collection bill that is ruining my credit for an error that UOP will not fix. This school is completely a mess and taking advantage of students as well as funding. The student account tab on the portal that I should have always had access to never worked- I sent help desk tickets constantly it was never fixed. I also had to change majors because they lost federal funding for the psychology program; which turned in to a HUGE disaster. This is the entire reason I left the school in the first place.

I am in debt over my head with this , they have lied the whole while when I was attending UOP . I owe almost 65,000 due this school. I have not found work in my field which I supposedly got a AA degree in Health Administration-Medical Records. It really hurts because I cannot even afford to repay my student loans because I don't have a great deal of income coming in to suppose, where am am I to get 600 extra dollars from monthly to pay my loans off with this school. I have so much regrets, but I'm going to look to the light praying something will come quick. I agree with everyone we need to take a stand to prevent them from damaging others.

I have an AA in Accounting from University of Phoenix it was suppose to continue to the BA as an accelerated program. I work for a state agency answering phones and asking customers to please pull a number and have a seat! I was lied to tremendously about job placement after completion of my program. I was lied to about the view of this college to be the same as Harvard or Oxford. Only to find I was completely on my own with finding a job, I cannot place this degree on my resume as its frowned upon. I am 60,000 in debt because they forced me to take out way more financial aid then was needed to complete the classes. I thought going to a university I would actually get the same degree as someone who attended University of Maryland and such. I have went to numerous accountants and asked and they have stated when seeing UOP they automatically assume that the person cannot add two and four to make six, they feel it is not a legitimate program of study and current accounting practices. I am in over my head I only make a quarter of what I owe for something I cannot even use or pay on!
