I cant even get some of the most basic care here. No yearly exams offered, etc. have insurance that covers all but they are pushing me away because i have been fighting against this drug war. Doctors dont like it when you dont give up. Asked for relief from the fatigue yesterday that pain causes. They even get more angry. To all here, be careful. They can do things with your medical records that could hurt even worse. They cant deny pain relief w/o covering their butts. Have noticed many ' Errors" in mine recently. Most doctors here play follow the leader here. None will go against another even if things are wrong. Finding another doc is almost pointless. As said below, you have to be mentally deranged to do this to innocent patients. Either that or the Rapture has already happened and i missed it and i am in the middle of all hell breaking loose.REPORT COMMENTS

This is whats been going on the past couple of yrs??? my dr is anal!! I guess this ******** from the DEA has their greedy paws in this, well I am a human first, Ive had 29 surgerys and im 52. All my massave medical records and tests are well documented, when I have severe breakthrough pain I go to the ER per my young pcp request, Im am told by the ER Doc after More tests that yes my spine from my neck to my tailbone that yes it is totally in shreds and he would never be able to handle pain like that, but sorry we cant give you any thing for relief!!! I think a good laywer to sue the Dr.s into bankruptcy for NOT doing their Jobs!!! My 29 yr old daughter had her third C-section a yr ago was only given tyl. #3 1 every 4 to 6 hrs, are they mental I had 4 C-sections and was given 100md demoral injections every 4 hrs. then switched to hydrocodone 10/325 1 or 2 every 4 to 6 hrs, then sent home with hydro 5/325 every 4 to 6 hrs enough for two weeks I NEVER became addicted or tried to get more after the two weeks were up!!! My daughter fell out of the hospital bed trying to get a nurse to bring her some pain relief, she laid their for an hour before a nurse finally came in to give her 1 tyl#3 and help her back into the bed, all this happened within 4 hours of having the major surgery, and they sent her home with NOTHING I would love any dr or DEA people especially the men to go through that with plain old tyl.!!! At least with her 1st 2 C-sections she had human Drs that kept her on a pca pump with the worthless dilodid for the first 48hrs, then 1 or 2 hydros 10/325 until she went home, and with 2 weeks of 5/325 hydros for 2 weeks, but she was kept comfortable right after the surgerys that she did not even take all of them!! my 25 yr old daughter had a natural birth 5 yrs ago and she was givin 10/325 q 4 yo 6 hrs 1 or two pills, and was also sent home with 2 weeks of 5/325 hydros 1 or 2 q 4 to 6 hrs and she also did not finish them! Both daughters are pregnant again, I cant emagin the horror they are going to go through because of this sick and dememted DEA bs!!! as for my self I have come down from 100mcg fentanyl patches to 25, my pharmest is soo sympathetic that Im not given the breakthrough meds that even the duragici web sites spef.. that for each lowering they have the dosage of oral mes to take temp orally but my anal dr refuses to even consider, so I asked to come off the patches completely, and just take tyl.#4 1 or 2 q 4 to six hrs, and wean off them over 4 to 6 weeks, which I have done before with no problems, but nope she won't do a months supply, but would make me come in once a week to resupply, but she had to ask whoever in the clinic, not a Dr but someone who oversees all the pain med prescribed. I never herd a word back!! My pharmacist said if I could come off 25mcg patches to such a weak pain ml. like tyl.#4 that would be awesome, because the manufactures of fentanyl have a very specific dose for each level of coming down, down to 25mcgREPORT COMMENTS

DEA why are you doing this to us? we did not ask to live in pain everyday. I went threw 3 back surgeries and even had a stimulator put inside and that don't even help my pain. I go threw all this because I pray it would work so I can take less pain medicine. I'm 42yrs old, and this is my worst nightmare. How can I live 30-40 more years without pain medicine. I never smoked and I don't drink. I never been arrested and always loved my country. But now to see our own country taking away the one thing that helps me get out of bed being ripped away is not a country I'm proud of anymore. We did not ask for this, and why you want to see us suffer is just plain evil. If you don't feel pain good for you and that's why it's so easy for you people to take away our life support. Most of us take it like we are suppose to. Why punish all of us because some people are irresponsible. I believe you want us to die off because most of us won't be able to take the pain to long. I hope you can sleep well at night better then most of us that can't because the pain makes it in possible. My Sun servers his country and now I tell him to get out this country does not care about us. I told my son God for bid something happened to you and you have to live in pain they will not help you they will not give you relief they don't care. I want my son to finish his last years in the service and get out! you people will not destroy my son's health and then leave him like a wounded dog in the street. God bless everyone out there going threw pain and our own people will not help us.REPORT COMMENTS

I have been totally disabled from bilateral neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome with arterial compression since 2004 (but it took 8 yrs to finally get that diagnosis), so it's been a long battle. I know there's no cure and I'll always live in pain. The pain meds help me live, not pain free, but function with a little more quality of life. I've never abused them or asked for more in amount or higher dosage; in fact, I redused my dosage on my own after I had to quit working and that helped with not flaring up so often. The meds are always locked in a safe bolted to a shelf. I don't get high from my meds. The doctor I've been seeing for over 20 yrs is retiring next month and I'm afraid I will not find a doctor willing to take care of me....why are legitimate patients being victimized because of the few who break the law? You wouldn't take meds from someone with MS, ALS, or RA.....why me?REPORT COMMENTS

I'm part of a pain management program for several things. I had a total spine fusion where the hook slipped partway out causing chronic back pain, am 12% disabled in left knee from a work related injury, have a broken right ankle that healed incorrectly, and have a dislocated hip from birth that they thought they fixed but slipped back out at one point. The hip I'm having surgery for soon but the other injuries I just have to live with. I take my medicine responsibly and don't abuse, sell, or give away my medicine. I have routine drug tests, go to all appointments and classes. I know I'll be in some pain for the rest of my life, but I just want to be able to go to work and function daily to teach my children not to live off the government. Why am I being punished for those who abuse drugs. They should screen people on pain meds but those who are responsible should get what they need to live daily life while those who take advantage should be denied.REPORT COMMENTS

This is nonsense. Treat chronic pain patients like you would any other debilitating illness. We look for every other holistic effort to reduce pain. These medications are a last resort for REAL pain patients, and they are lifesaving on many days...so we can function, hold down a job, take care of families and households. We can't just lay in bed in pain until we die.REPORT COMMENTS

I got Lyme Disease in 2011 and was finally adjudicated disabled on April 6, 2015. I was poorly treated for the disease in my area and came close to dying. The effects of the disease was arthritis in ever joint in my body. It also aggravated my old ankle injury to the point I cannot walk very far. No doctor in my area will order pain meds or order an MRI. I am 64 years old and would like some resemblance of an active life, but the DEA does not believe I deserve a life. My x-rays show moderate to severe arthritis in most of my joints. Now my muscles have become atrophied which makes for more severe pain. I really hate the DEA.REPORT COMMENTS

I think it is horrible that a persons right to get proper medical treatment for Chronic pain is being put in jeopardy. For all the financial hardships we are faced with and the soaring cost of medical insurance the one less expensive method is being called into judgment. After having radio frequency,PT , chiropractic, epidurals, and expensive doctors visits, the medication which I can afford with or without insurance is now going to be harder to get. It is horrible I did not ask for chronic conditions that have me in pain, the people abusing drugs they are the ones making my life n my doctors life even harder. My doctors have a hard enough time helping me function while in pain now its even harder, cause people who don't know my situation are saying things and giving their thoughts on stuff they know nothing about. Please keep your thoughts to yourself, that is why I have a team of doctors.REPORT COMMENTS

For my doctor to tell me I am going to be "weaned off" the pain medication I need is absolutely absurd. The pain from 4 crushed vertebrae is utterly debilitating and hellish- it cannot be treated with Tylenol, PERIOD. It's obnoxiously cruel for these DEA creeps to stick their nose into my medical care and I will NOT be quiet about it.REPORT COMMENTS

Does the definition of psychopathy seem to define the absurd legal leadership condemning individuals in pain? I thought of running for office myself! One of us has to - but I can't get out of the house. We need to stop appealing to fools and elect someone to a position to represent us. What about Pharmacist Steve? We can start our OWN organization. We've been pushed too far folks. Pain makes you fight back. When are we going to hold a rally? Where? Who is going to follow through on this? If the "government" is permitted to take critical pain relief from people - ask yourself what's going to be next??? You either stand up and fight or lay down and die like a dog. Who is going to meet in a rally? Do we have an organizer? I know someone who can design us a website. We have to get organized. There are intelligent people here - I've read the stories. We can't spin our wheels - we need to take action. If anyone is familiar with the Psalms, David prayed: "Who will rise up with me against evildoers?workers of iniquity?" Psalm 94:16 We need to rise up against this overt crushing of our rights as human beings. Where is a central location that we can all hold a rally? Maybe we can hold simultaneous rally's in different states and get news coverage. My cousin held a rally and had a man dress as George Washington - it drew a lot of attention. I know everybody may feel as bad as I do - but make a choice. We can't live like this - we all know it. Someone come up with ideas - maybe better than mine - but for God's sake let's ACT. This is a holocaust on patients in pain.REPORT COMMENTS

Appalling statements by legislators denigrating individuals with pain syndromes is explained in Forbes Magazine: Everyone I have ever worked with has, at some point, called another colleague or coworker ?crazy.? But does your job actually attract true psychopaths? In the book ?The Wisdom of Psychopaths: What Saints, Spies, and Serial Killers Can Teach Us About Success,? Kevin Dutton explains that there are jobs that can attract literal psychopaths ? and also jobs that are least likely to do so. It?s important to note that a psychopathic person isn?t necessarily one that is set out to kill others (even though you might feel as such on a Wednesday afternoon in the office.) In reality, psychopaths merely ? and typically ? just lack emotions and empathy, or the ability to identify with others. Dutton has said that ?a number of psychopathic attributes [are] actually more common in business leaders than in so-called disturbed criminals ? attributes such as superficial charm, egocentricity, persuasiveness, lack of empathy, independence, and focus.? This may explain why many of the jobs attractive to psychopaths ? such as CEO?s, salespeople and media types ? are often found in the tech industry. So what jobs are most attractive to psychopaths? Here?s the list, originally published online by Eric Barker: 1. CEO 2. Lawyer 3. Media (Television/Radio) 4. Salesperson 5. Surgeon 6.
