We need our meds for our medical conditions this is so crazy please help us. I am full of medical but never copped out on Disability as I want to try and work. I can function on my medicine it allows me to go and shop for my Mom and my partner as she is very sick right now. We need to stop what they are doing they just don't care stop treating pain patients like the Drug Cartel. Some of us work on our meds so we can function in pain. We are at the mercy of the DEA not fair this is not 40's. Please respect our concerns at it is becoming a problem across the world. Please help with this I need my meds to work. No work no taxes no work, I will be forced to go on SSDI and get government insurance. I am trying to avoid that believe me. I have so many medical issues. We are God's Children help us have somewhat of a life don't take that independence away from me! I cant struggle in pain that is inhumane. Think this out before you decide to hurt us people. We are only trying to get through life living in pain like this. With all this pain I struggle daily it is horrible. Don't make the doctors treat us like Animals we are human beings. Understand the fear of not having our medication it makes us all scared. Knowing how our bodies are going to react we know our bodies better than anyone. Let our doctors treat us they know if your taking your meds or not when they do tests on you.REPORT COMMENTS

I known a doctor for years that help people for many years who as chronic pain, Dr. Santos in russiville, al. My husband had 5 back surgeries and his spinal is falling apart. About 16 years ago another doctor told my husband by the time he hit 50 he be in a wheel chair. Well, I found Dr.Santos and interduce my husband to him... My husband as server chronic pain... The doctor prescribed him meds to help ease the pain so he was able to walk instead being in a wheel chair.... Since his doctor had to stop because someone I guess was getting on to him my husband lays in server pain. Can't hardly get around. Eatting BC powders and tyolonle night time pills like there freaking candy.... So, I don't know yet who is responsible but if my husband dies to eatting all those meds or would up in a wheel chair... I will take immigration action and Sue the******out of who ever and they will pay for all his treatments or pay all his funeral expenses plus pay for my up keep rest of my life cause someone decided to take my husband away from me..... My husband as proof of server chronic diease and u took something away that helped him.... My heart breaks that I'm not sure if I can find another doctor for him and his in server pain 80% of the time.... Someone should be held responsible for this mess and I'm sure if ppl get lawyers and take these these ppl to court we can stop ppl from trying to cause trouble....REPORT COMMENTS

Im a pain patient (broke my back seriously 12 years ago). I am being prescribed an inadequate opiod prescription that causes insomnia and other side effects and the doctors dont care that the prescription is about half the normal doseage that is on all the medical/drug info websites. They started me on a severely inadequate doseage and when I complained it wasnt enough, they said they wanted me to get an MRI of my back first (making me wait over 2 months for (still inadequate increase)... the MRI showed nothing more than an XRAY could have showed (50% compressed vertebrae and other wedging vertebraes)... more things they could detect simply running their finger up my spine, but my word meant nothing, xrays meant nothing, and obviously the MRI didnt mean much to them, and I am being held to a pain contract and drug tested so I have no choice but to live with inadequacy and jump through hoops or face losing medical care completely!!!REPORT COMMENTS

As a 25 year old woman, finding treatment for my chronic pain has been a very, very rough road. No doctors want to give me adequate opioid medication to manage my life (i.e. work, walk the dog, play with the kids). Many won't even see females for pelvic pain related to endometriosis and PCOS. I have been treated as an addict since I sought help to find a diagnosis about 4 years ago. It's unbearable, I work anyway...I cannot get disability. My sixth seventh surgery will be this coming friday, and somehow they keep telling me they know I am in chronic pain but "we don't want you to get addicted to narcotics"... I'd rather have my life back.REPORT COMMENTS

It's a shame that people who have never been in pain want to tell people that are in total pain that they don't want them to be on pain meds so let people just get on illegal drugs because a doctor can not help people stop saving the world mind your own business we need our meds so we can live like a human not an animal that's being abused.REPORT COMMENTS

how dare you decide my chronic pain which incapacitates me is not relevant enough to deserve a treatment that i have NOT abused. Pain medication used at intervals where the pain begins to incapacitate me, has proven to be effective in the interim while attempting to find adequate treatment. This stupid affordable care ins that congress allowed to pass does not allow any probing of my chronic pain leaving further disabled!REPORT COMMENTS

Forced retirement deemed medically disabled fr law enforcement job after 15yrs... Plus 6yrs active duty honorable discharge usmc! Ooooorah! At age 28 i was trying to arrest a schizo affective man off of his paych meds high on phencycladine aka pcp. 2 officers were injured and i became the 3rd droppin down 20 steps of stairwell landing into a steel reinforced institutional type jail door frame. I was diagnosed w multiple rib fractures and lumbar strain. Years later while walkin a beat out of nowhere i felt my back catch and electrical shocks down my legs? Diagnosis 4 herniated lumbar and cervical discs felt like electricity shooting down arms fingers legs feet. Now im no cupcake and i was still young but an ortho called me in doc said ur gonna be in pain rest ur life? I said no way! BS.. Well its been 15yrs now and he was right i was reduced to a desk job lost my commission and reduced in salary. I was forced to sit til i retired medically.. It took years to digest that my life had changed and that regardless of my will or my strength i was done my active life as i knew it was over. I have since degenerated quite a bit and ive had 22 epidural injections 25 thousand dollars in dmx table treatments 20 thousand in chiropractic care.. Multiple countless physical therapy regiments and thats part of the game so i did what the professionals advised me to do. I was told surgery was to risky as nerve damage was bad enough that would only make it worse ie. Risk to benefit ratio. The only avenue left was pain meds which i was totally against! But my quality of life was in the toilet and pain was taking over as getting out of bed eq day became a task. I am now in my late 40s and my 12yr old ties my shoes thats ridiculous but a reality. I have a routine where i wake up take pain meds lay back down for 30mins wake up again and the meds do the job.. I start my day after meds start working so am i dependent on pain meds? Sure am.. Am i a junkie? Far from it.. Am i a drug seeker? Hell no! Do i rely on meds to get me thru the day hell yes! Do i want a life like this waking up to percocet and lyrica capsules hell no! Id rather be happy go lucky workin out at a gym or boxing w my old crew but im screwed physically and their is not a damn thing i can so about it not money not willpower not motivation not gonna change so i have to live w it. The only control i have over my condition is my pain doc and his prescription pad. I was okay for 6yrs and enjoyed a good relationship w my pain mgt doc til ine day he walked in and said im sorry im losing my pain mgt license? He said the new ridiculous legislation governing opiates is screwing doctors and patients he actually advised me to move outta state? Apparently ohio is the worst state in the country for obtaining pain med treatment. Since that time i have had 6 doctors in just 2 n half yrs as the state of ohio goes on its warpath destroying any doctor writing schedule 2 meds. Try building a relationship w ur doctor and reciREPORT COMMENTS
